So ate here for the first time bases on these reviews, come on fellow Unilocalers, you guys let me down, food was bland and rice tasted terrible. I ordered the spicey beef with white rice, man panda express has this place beat by a long shot…

Great food and plenty of it for the price. The only downside and a little irritating, is they are closed on a Monday, so don’t take a day off on Monday thinking your going to get Chinese delivered. A restaurant that decides to close a day out of the week, for what? Just shorten the hours your open. No Chinese food today for me.

Whoever said hit or miss was right on the money! Whatever you do don’t get a chicken dish! The chicken is a bit suspicious lol I’ve gotten the broccoli and beef and it’s decent, egg foo young is good sometimes.

I just moved to Aubrey, and I had yet to find a decent Chinese place. Found this place online, and the staff was very friendly(on phone and delivery guy was very friendly). We must have caught them on a busy night, because it took almost 2 hours for our food to be delivered, and I was about to write a negative review, but man the food was good! Had sesame chicken, which had a great sauce that wasn’t sloshed on there, shrimp fried rice, which was properly oiled and not greasy & the shrimp tasted very fresh, cho cho chicken, which was really tender and succulent, and fried wantons(which had very generous portions of meat in there). The prices were extremely reasonable for a delivery place. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be ordering from there again, just make sure you build in enough time for them to deliver, knowing that it could take a while when they’re busy.

We always go here for our Chinese food! So many good dishes to choose from. I am partial to their beef dishes and hot & sour soup.

Ordered from here tonight. Took a few calls to get through. Was looking for quick Chinese food. This was right on. The price for the amount of food was great when compared to other Chinese restaurants. Ordered the Mongolian beef, very tasty. A few too many onions for me but just picked them out. And the general tso chicken was decent, not too spicy. Overall good food. Will be back.

I heard from everyone this was the best Chinese for delivery, so I decided to give it a try. It took an hour for the food to arrive, and it was a lot of food. But honestly, the chicken was gross and chewy and didn’t have much flavor. The fried rice was bland as well. I won’t be back.

Great food! This place could be considered a ‘hole in the wall’ but it’s clean, tasty, and reasonably priced.

I live down the street from this place, I love Chinese food but I rarely go there, their chicken tastes funny, the place is messy. the only thing that’s consistent is their hot and sour soup

Not sure if this was an off night for them, but I thought the food was terrible. We had a large order, about ten entrees and several appetizers. The Kung Pao had absolutely no flavor to it, was mostly celery and water chestnut. What chicken there was, was of low quality dark meat. There was no spice to the sauce and the sauce itself was extremely watered down. The General Tso, well, same as above. No flavor, no spice, questionable quality chicken. I will say the crab Rangoon was a hit, as were the dumplings. Good quality, good flavor. The staff I spoke to was very nice and extremely helpful. I really wanted to like this place simply because they are a local shop and seem to be very customer focused. For us, this meal was a bust though and I don’t think we will be back.

Hot Wok has everything I wanted in a Chinese delivery restaurant. The food is flavorful and the prices are great. I love their fried wontons with meat inside! I’ve also tried their dumplings, meat egg rolls, orange chicken and Mongolian beef. All of it is tasty and the portions are pretty big. Delivery is usually fairly quick, too.

This place has good all-around fresh and tasty Chinese food at reasonable prices. It’s a very nice family owned restaurant. They always remember me, even if I haven’t been there in over a month.

Tried dinner the first time tonight. Picked this place over other Chinese in the area as there health department score is 100. Others around here scored lower than the convenience stores with roller meat. Great deal on meal for two – included egg rolls, soups, dumplings, and entrees. Tons of food and worth it. The shrimp in spicy garlic sauce was fantastic. Crispy fried chicken in brown sauce was alright. Egg rolls taste a little different than what you normally expect. The hot and sour soup was really good and is more like a stew with the amount of stuff in it. I will definitely order from here again.

I have been here many times over the years, but I just remembered to review them. This is my favorite Chinese in DFW by a wide margin. Very nice family owned restaurant that produces high quality food. They also have very reasonable prices. Teh big thing for me is that they listen and understand their customer’s needs. I have a severe sesame allergy, and I have never had any problems here after explaining it. Other places pretend to understand, and then an hour later I have an epi pen in my leg. Unfortunately, I moved 25 miles east, so I don’t get to make it out this way as often as I would like. If I am in the area, I make a point of stoipping. I still even go out of my way to eat here(actually I always do take out).

As far as Chinese take-out/delivery goes, this is the best I’ve had in the area. We’ve tried switching it up a bit and ordering from other places, but we are always disappointed because they don’t compare to Hot Wok. We always request«extra spicy,» so our food is never bland as some have complained here. I also like that the food isn’t disgustingly salty like at some restaurants. But if you like the extra salt, I’m sure they’ll give you all the soy sauce you want. Try the Crab Rangoon. You won’t regret it.
