Food at this place is awful been there about 3 times never liked the taste, it’s just simply not tasty at all.

I no longer order take out from here. The service left a bad taste in my mouth. On my last order, I requested the beef with broccoli. What I got was broccoli with beef garnish. I counted 5 strips of beef in my dinner size entrée! When I called to express my dissatisfaction with my dish and request a refund, I couldn’t get a manager to come to the phone. When a manager finally took my call, I was told I would not get a refund and that I «should know very little beef in beef and broccoli». Thanks for the lesson on beef and broccoli!

I ordered for pick up on a Friday night thanks to their«#1 Chinese food in Little Elm in 2010» award. They do deliver to Savannah/380 area but add a $ 3 fee. The staff were pleasant to speak with, but the food… well… Egg drop/hot sour soups — Good! It was unfortunate to start on this high note then end with a disaster of a meal with the entrees. Dumplings — I think they threw them in the deep fryer, which was not a texture I like. I was hoping for thick-skinned chewy dumplings that are pan friend. Nope. General Tso Chicken — Not spicy ATALL. There were a couple red chiles in the dish, but there was absolutely no spice whatsoever. The breading was okay and not completely overwhelming, but the lack of taste was undesirable. Garlic sauce w/Beef — No garlic was in the sauce, nor dish, nor anywhere near this entire meal. How disappointing. This just tasted like celery and some bamboo. Fried rice — Dry with no toppings. There was one spec of egg. Egg roll — The only saving grace in this meal. Though it was overly oily, the wrapper is like a thing spring roll wrapper, which had good crunch. There is a Family for 2 Deal for $ 18.50, which is a great value. That’s what we ended up ordering + dumplings. I don’t think we’ll be trying this place again. There was just no flavor at all!

Always fast and FRIENDLY service. The delivery is also quick and never had a wrong order. There is a T. V in the dining room and always people dining in for lunch. Great little dive for a Chinese lunch special. Been here about 10 times and was great every time.

To sum it up, meh. Chinese owner but I think Hispanic chefs? Food here isn’t bad, your usual Chinese fare, but I’d like to say your taste buds deserve better. Food doesn’t stand out, if you have a hankering for Americanized Chinese food, Hong Kong Express is worth a try. But it isn’t anywhere close to spectacular.

Love this place! There is nothing fancy about it, and and the place does have a bit of a hole-in-the-wall feel to it, and but the food is hot, but fast and amazingly yummy. So far my favorite Chinese food in Frisco.

Very good! Moved here last week and have already eaten here three times. The regular is so much food you can have it for another meal. Very cheap and delicious.

The people here are incredibly polite and I love supporting family businesses which I assume this is. Lunch specials are FANTASTICALLY priced starting at $ 4.99 everyday before 3pm and the food isn’t bad either. Portions are well sized too. It’s very hard to find good Asian food up this far North but the kung pao chicken my bf got tasted good and was deliciously spicy. He ordered it on the lunch special with steamed rice. I on the other hand was taking too long to decide my order so I landed on the very Americanized dish too of sesame chicken with side of fried rice. I thought I’d try the fried rice out and it was nothing out of the ordinary. The sesame chicken came with a good amount of sauce which I appreciated and the chicken portion was great too. The taste was a bit different than what I expected but it was still good. It had a bit more bar b q taste to it and not too tangy. I would eat here again. Not near the best eat I’ve had at all but good to eat if in the area. The staff won me here but next time I’ll try one of the more«authentic» Chinese dishes to get a better idea of this restaurant but in the meantime if you like typical Chinese American style food then you’ll like this place. It is better than panda express(which I only mention for comparison purpose only).

For Chinese food, this place is where you need to go. We have lived in Little Elm for almost 6 years and never had chinese as good as Hong Kong Express. They gave us an overabundance of food and we had left overs the next night and still had food not eaten! The Hunan veggie, veggie soup, and steamed rice… wow. Maybe I was just famished but it was delicious… I will definitely be back now that I have finally tried them!

Good food, reasonably priced. When I get to have Chinese food(my wife doesn’t like Chinese food) I always get it from here. Fast and courteous and hot. Yummy stuff!

If possible I would give this place 0 stars. The worst experience I have ever had in my life period. There is no sense of customer service. Foreign auto replaced at 6PM the food arrived at 7:15PM. To top it off the order was incorrect. We call them right away to tell them that we received the incorrect food. The road down the correct order this time and told us to expect the food in 30 to 45 minutes. We called back an hour later find out that our order was never processed. The lady who answered the phone did not believe me when I told her that they process the order incorrectly. After a very long argument I decided to go to the restaurant to show them that they processed the order incorrectly. Even then the manager tried to pin the blame on the guy who took the order instead of owning up to the restaurants mistake. All he had to offer was a free soup for us having to wait 2 ½ hours to get our dinner on a Friday night. They can drink their own soup because I’m never coming back here again!

Ordered last night for delivery. It was a little later than quoted, but I was not in a rush. Their fried rice & eggrolls were great! I ordered the vegetable Egg Foo Young. Tons of great veggies, well cooked, great sauce. We will order again!

Ordered this evening, not our first. Food is decent… Standard American Chinese food, just as it always is.. However, delivery time was quoted as 40 minutes, and called when an hour had passed. Wanna make a simple issue a bigger one? Lady answers the phone, says«can you hold please?» And when I say, actually I just need to check on my order… Crickets. She put me on hold without waiting for my answer! Finally picks back up the phone, thank you for holding… «Well the food isn’t here, so I guess the driver already took it.» Okay, how about you elaborate on that… When did it leave? When should it be there. It’s on it’s way. Um, okay. Thanks. Please up the game on customer service. This can turn a decent business into a terrible business just due to lack of courtesy.

I like this place. The food is good and the portions are large. I usually have enough left over to eat it for lunch the next day. I especially like the chicken fried rice. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chicken was so tender and moist. Writing this review is making me hungry…

Have ordered from and dined in more then a few times. you can not beat the price and I have never had a bad meal worth the money and the staff is nice. I want to say I trulely think a few of the 1 star reviews are from other restaurant owners and people who have never been there. give them a chance you will be surprised

Maaaaaan, you either love this place or you hate it. There’s no middle ground. For me, I love it. I don’t eat a lot of Chinese food as it is because it’s loaded with sodium and dipped in oil most of the time but HK Express, I didn’t get that. And I order from here about once every other week or so(when I lived in the area). Another reason I don’t order a lot of Chinese is because I have an adverse effect to MSG(my whole family does) so I get a bit of anxiety when I order Chinese food. At HK Express, I haven’t had an attack(and doubt I will so long as they don’t change anything). Ok, so they’re not a 5-star restaurant so pls don’t expect them to be but the food is good and the prices are even better! I’ve never eaten at the restaurant, only ordered to-go and from the few times I’ve walked in and got my food, the service was always decent. Like, they will make eye contact with me and sometimes I’ll get a smile from the cashier. Their phone etiquette is a hit or miss. Again, don’t expect 5-star(or even 4-star) service because this place just isn’t that kind of place. It’s a place you come to eat and that’s it. You’re not there to socialize and make friends. Just order, eat your food and leave! They’re good at making fast Chinese food, not creating an ambience!

Such a waste of hard earned money. My hot and sour sour soup came with the lady’s thumb sticking in my bowl. The food is really bad. Don’t know where to start. If you feel adventurous, give it a try and find how bad it is for yourself.

I had a taste for fried rice and decided to give this place a try. I called in a takeout order of vegetable fried rice with tofu. I arrived here 10 minutes later, and it was ready as I walked up. For under $ 8, you get a large portion size. The meal had broccoli, water chestnuts, egg, and carrots(I think). The rice tasted ok, but it wasn’t the flavor I was hoping to receive. What I did not like was the tofu. Normally, when I order a fried rice tofu meal, the tofu is lightly cooked with the rice. This tofu was literally deep fried. I had to pick all of the tofu out because there was no way I could eat it. I will not come back here unless I am really really really having a craving and want something in this area.

Went to texas during new years this year and decided to try this place out since it was close to where i stayed. Service was prompt and nice and not the mention the delicious food! I dont think you’ll find better chinese food in texas! Its way better than panda express where they have all their food already made and sitting under a heat lamp. This place MAKES your order ONTHESPOT! So its fresh off the grill! While i was eating there i also noticed they do delivery and its the same routine! They make the food when you order it and have someone drive it out to you! where can you get better service than that!!! Pricing is resonable too and they give generous portion too! HIGHLYHIGHLY recommended =) Give it a try!!!
