Slim Chickens

Overall, the chicken tastes great. It was juicy and the breading was good. However the portions were so small. Three pieces were barely the size of a full chicken breast. To make up for it they give you a boatload of fries though so I guess that’s cool.

The slim sauce is great. The tenders are great. The wings are great. I’ve yet to find something that I don’t like.

Wow I got my food fast! And it’s super good and fresh. Smells fantastic. :-) Their ad says it’s cooked fresh while you wait, not cooked ahead of time. I believe it. It tastes fresh. The chicken and the fries are not at all greasy. The batter on the chicken is not so thick you can’t taste the chicken. Nice atmosphere. I love the jazz music.

I’m not really a fan of fast food, or chicken, but for drive-​thru chicken tenders, Slim Chickens is the way to go. This location was consistent with my other experiences — polite, fairly quick, good fresh-​tasting food.

Stopped for lunch during road trip. Chicken strips were freshly cooked and not too bready. Seasoned well. The highlight of the meal was the chicken strips on top of a waffle drizzled with syrup. Fries were decent and bathrooms were clean but had no changing table for babies. The one thing that made this better than most fast food/​QSR is that the service was exceptional. Cashier was friendly and very helpful. Food was priced very well for the quantity and quality of the product. Would stop and dine again.

Yes, another successful Unilocal.They are super nice here. I had the waffles and chicken to my delight. Very clean place with neat décor. Told them we were from out of town and they told us about local things to see. Very happy I came to Slim Chickens.

This is the closest thing to a homemade chicken tender I have found at a restaurant, slim sauce and spicy bbq were good, fried apple pie is delicious

Quick and fast.
The chicken fingers were good and not very bready. It came with two sauces that was nothing to write home about. The mac and cheese tasted boxed. The French fries were good and not overly greasy. Makes you feel like you are eating real chicken vs a KFC.

Great service. Food was awesome. Love that you can get fried mushrooms or fried pickles instead of fries as a side.

Maybe I set my expectations too high for this place. I was a bit underwhelmed. This place reminds me of Zaxby’s, but is simply put a step below. The fried pickles were extremely salty. They tasted great, but I thought I may have a heart attack after eating those things. The chicken wings were undercooked. The chicken tenders were okay. Sauces were again mediocre. Nothing special about this place. If the price were lower, my expectations would probably be met. With a name like Slim Chickens, you don’t expect quality, but one would expect some good chicken. Just okay. I won’t be back, though.

Great atmosphere and great food. This is my go to place for chicken strips. I would recommend the Slims Plate.

The sauce choices are excellent as are their sides! Great fried pickles and potato salad. This is a ‘must try’ if you like flavor on your chicken. Slim Chickens rises abpve and beyond those other chicken shacks!

I never, in a million years, thought I’d write a positive review of a chain restaurant. Even a regional one. Yet, here I am.
Best tenders I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Everything is freshly made. The best thing, among all the really good things, is their Jar Desserts. Trust me, don’t skip it. Don’t skip any of it. It may be a chain but you’ll be happy you visited.

Wings were great, service was wonderful, and the restaurant was well maintained and beautiful. Highly worth the price, very surprised it was that good!

There is a lot to like about Slim Chickens. The food is made fresh, the sauces are homemade, and it’s hard not to please people with chicken. I had the 5 & 5 platter which came with 5 chicken fingers, 5 wings, fries, and toast. The wings were the best part as they were dipped in honey BBQ. Best wings I’ve had in a while… they were fresh, hot, saucy, and not overcooked. Chicken tenders were ok and the fries were good. I had 3 sauces to dip — cayenne ranch, spicy BBQ, and Slims sauce. The spicy BBQ was the best in my opinion and the cayenne ranch was good too. There were 2 things that really disappointed me about Slims. The Slims sauce was very bland compared to Zax Sauce or Cane’s Sauce from Raising Cane’s. It needed more bite to it. The other thing was the sweet tea. They have sweet, unsweet, peach, and raspberry. I had the sweet and it tasted too much like peach which I do not like. I told the counter about it and they said they would make a fresh brew in moment. I was still in the place 15 minutes after that and I did not see the tea changed out. Service was great except for that.

Slim pickings here but delicious. The Chicken & Waffles is amazing. A must if you’re in Little Rock.

Stopped by on business, wanted a quick place to eat. Pleasantly surprised by the food, really good chicken tenders and an excellent choice of dipping sauces. All three of us liked the food. Service from employees was excellent as well. 26 cent upgrade to a large drink in a reusable cup is nice too.

I go to the original slims in Fayetteville often and I must say this location in LR is up to par. I go here about once a week and I have not been let down by the food quality yet.
I always get fresh hot food and the service is top notch. Would certainty recommend to others.

I cannot say enough about the amazing staff at this location. They are always tending to their customers and cleaning. This is one of the cleanest restaurants in all of Little Rock! The food is always fresh and hot. There are only a few restaurants I frequent and along with Ashley’s at the Capital this is one of them.

This is really good chicken. They cook it when u order. I’ve ate here 5 – 6 times. I get the chicken slider plate with ranch and it never disappoints. It’s 2 large slices of toasted bread with a excellent tasting chicken tender in it with lettuce, pickle and ranch (but u can choose whatever sauce u want, I just prefer the ranch). It comes with fries and a coke for just under 8 bucks. This is an Arkansas original chain according to the commercials I’ve heard. This place is very good!
