I was excited to try this place because I love crepes and escargot. I was disappointed with my food. The escargot wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better. I got the chicken crepes and the sauce on top looked like the poured it on and then left it for several minutes before brining it out. And the crêpe was just meh. My fiancé had the Monte Cristo and said the bread was almost burnt. Needless to say we won’t be going back. Good selection but the food was just ok and I’d rather spend my money on a place where I know the food is good/great.

My family dined at this establishment for the second time today, hoping that our second experience would fair better than our first. Most unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed. To sum both experiences up, different members of our multicultural family experienced treatments of welcoming and unwelcoming degrees during both visits. Glaring glances from a couple employees(even thought to be the restaurant’s management) towards a couple members of our family as well as our table’s order taken in a highly unusual and suspicious order are a couple of things our family caught on to, and it made our entire table very uncomfortable. We will not be patronizing this establishment in the future. There are plenty of restaurants that treat ALL their patrons with the respect every human deserve.

My husband and I have been here twice already. Both times we were disappointed with the food and service. My husband ordered a burger which was not seasoned at all and overall bland. I ordered the pasta scampi and it came out really bland as well. While we were eating, we noticed an elderly couple was trying to make it out the front door and they were struggling to open the door and get a walker through it. The manager just watched them and didn’t even help! My husband got up and helped them. Our service was awful as well, they weren’t busy but people were standing around while tables could’ve been asked how they were doing or if they needed anything else. When we finished eating we decided not to tip since the service was awful and so was the food. The manager FOLLOWED us out into the parking lot after we left trying to get us to tip. We will not be coming back to this place.

The Bistro at Aspen Grove is a cozy spot perfect for lunch, especially on a cold day. I really liked their soups. We tried the potato soup and French onion soup. Both were very good and simple. The caprese salad was huge and also very good. The Monte Cristo sandwich tasted just as it should. Overall, a nice spot for some classic American food if you happen to be nearby.

Been in for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and always a great atmosphere and tasty food. The staff was fast and friendly, even when we occasionally show up 15 minutes before they close. I definitely recommend the pasta with blackened chicken, one of my favorites.

Rude and unwelcoming. I make a point to only write reviews for places I like, but my experience at this place warrants sharing. Owner dropped the smile and refused to seat us when we asked him if we could come in for coffee and a snack. 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, dining room half full — we wouldn’t have been taking up a higher-paying group’s spot. Even so, I would have gladly respected his house rules and considered coming back(or even ordering more food this time) if he had communicated this politely… BUT he just glared at us and turned away. Won’t give my business to a place that isn’t respectful and polite as a baseline. No thanks.

Food was good, French dip sandwich and Veal Parmesan. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Food arrived quickly too! The temperature in the restaurant was quite cold, myself and others kept our winter coats over our shoulders. Numerous tables commented on the chill in the restaurant — the wait staff said the heat was turned up… too late, we ate and are ready to go. It’s too cold to sit here any longer for another drink or desert. It is 24 degrees outside but that should not mean we have to be in an ice box inside…

They have an amazing menu at the Bistro. I have not eaten there but there breakfast was awesome! We had the three egg cheese croissants and biscuits and gravy and they were delicious. The owner Barry stops by every table to ask if everything is fine and our server Becca was wonderful. A very nice bistro!

Breakfast was awesome! I had the eggs and sausage! Eggs were cooked to perfection! My husband had one of the many Benedict’s and said that he really enjoyed his breakfast! Service was great! The wait staff was polite and owner seemed very polite as well. We will definitely be back again…

I wish I could share a better review, but simply can’t this time. A client(new to the area) of mine requested we go here for lunch, and so we did. I recalled going here several years ago, but didn’t recall much about it. The service: The server was pleasant and patient. I believe the owner was present also and was also pleasant and accomodating. The interior is also warm and had an inviting feel — that fit the middle aged to older crowd. They were busy for a Monday lunch. We had a beer to toast the year… They had a weak Coors /Anhieser Busch selection. I had a bottled Stella– which was fine. I ordered a Quiche and soup. The onion soup was marginally acceptable and the Quiche was equally as good. It’s not often that I eat the garnish, but the sliced oranges were good. This is concerning because both are easy to make. They have been here for some years so I suspect I ordered the wrong items, but find no compelling reason to return.

My husband and I went here a couple nights ago for our date night. We were pleasantly surprised at what a good time we were able to have there for a couple reasons. First we were greeted immediately upon walking in. Second our server was incredibly gracious and made awesome recommendations. It is not overpriced or pretentious in any way. The décor reminded me of a Mediterranean /fancy diner. I’m one of those people that is ok with a fancy diner. Diners generally mean variety of items on the menu without being overpriced. Besides, who doesn’t like breakfast for dinner. My reason for only giving it 4 stars is my husbands veal was chewy and I think that they can do better with certain items on the menu(freshness). The other thing is Kenny G was blaring through the music system. I couldn’t help but be taken back to the late eighties and early nineties. Please don’t date yourselves by playing Kenny G. Try Pandora, especially if you are looking for jazz options.

No. Just no. As much as I love locally owned, tiny restaurants, this place just did not cut it for me. Let’s start with the good: I came in with a friend on a Friday night and we were promptly greeted at the door. They sat us right away and service was really fast. The décor is also pretty cute. The walls are painted in a very French countryside way and provided some entertainment while we waited for our food. But the food was just not good. I ordered the Veal Parmesan and could not have been more disappointed. The veal had no flavor at all and had the texture of ground meat. There were a few slices of rubbery cheese slapped on top that were only partially melted and the whole thing was smothered in sub-par tomato sauce. I ate maybe a quarter of it and gave up. I hate leaving a bad review, but I just could not stomach this place and will not be returning.

Our first time here and we had a great time. Dinner was bistro quality and worthy of a second trip in our future. If have to say their sauce is a big standout, the wife had their cream sauce on the chefs specialty pasta and I had a butter cream sauce on my steak with blackened shrimp. The waitress was great, I even caught her off guard when I asked for menu roulette, but she came through with a good choice entrée and wine. We will be coming back for at least to try breakfast, and for sure dinner.

Best spot in Littleton for any meal of the day! We love breakfast at The Bistro because anything off of the menu is amazing… Our waitress, Becca, is always super efficient in the dining room, and the outdoor seating with Front Range views can’t be beat! Also haven’t mentioned the location, conveniently located next to a plethora of great stores at Aspen Grove and hiking trails on the South Platte River Rec Area. Thanks Bistro! Looking forward to many years of great meals at your restaurant! Highly recommend for a quick breakfast/lunch or family parties in the party room.

Breakfast was good, not great. Had the egg croissant which was advertised to come with potatoes and fresh fruit. I guess I was looking for a fresh fruit salad, but what came out was three orange wedges. More like a garnish then something to advertise on a menu. The potatoes were good, but nothing I couldn’t make at home. The croissant had cheese, egg, bacon, and ham but just was missing something I couldn’t put my finger on. My husband had biscuits and gravy and said the gravy was thin for his liking. All in all it did the trick in feeding us breakfast, but was hoping for more.

I love that it always feels like home. It’s the real life Cheers. Barry, the owner runs the place like everyone from staff to guests are family. I always smile when he gets so excited to welcome us to come in. The food is great, I have found some favorites after trying half the menu. I love the 3 cheese scramble, and for fellow breakfast lovers like me, they serve the entire menu all day. If you are more into lunch food they have a good burger with avocado on a croissant that is very nice. All their soups are fantastic. The cream of broccoli and cream of asparagus are my 2 favorites. Also, if you get anything with chips, ask for a side of their champaign mushroom sauce to drop them, it’s delicious. The restaurant has an old world European charm and ambiance and has a cozy feel. The staff is great and you can tell that everyone loves what they do. Definitely recommend checking it out!
