Great service an great wines! Wine keeps getting better an better as they grow. Merlot tasted had grapes grown on the property. New Zinfandel was fabulous as was the Cab an cab blend.

Caddis Winery has just dirt parking. driveway was also dirt.

barrel tastes:
–2013 cab. no tannin (so not the usual harshenss in cabs)
smooth
–barbarba, chardonnay tastes passed.
not so fond of these varietals.
vine notes:
–the dust and dirt was a turn off.
–presenters impressive, friendler, just not into their wines.

Livermore native making Great wine! Open this weekend 12 – 4:30 Recent double gold awards at the largest American wine competition in the world. You’ve got to check this winery out. And as far as the review dissing the winemakers fly fishing ability. I know he’s caught some great fish at Heenan Lake right of the shore. I’ll be honest I’m the winemakers Mom but I can totally produce pictures of the fish he’s caught! Come see us this weekend. We are a fun bunch of people and the wine is fantastic! No doubt the best and most exclusive winery in Livermore. Love, Love this mans wine. We went here on the holiday in the vineyard event and fell in love. Friendly people, very small shop, but a nice lab setup. Livermore fruit. He even uses a really, really old wooden grape press.
I am definitely kicking myself for not signing up for the wine club. I should’ve bought more while I was there.

Although Caddis is new it is quickly becoming one of my favorite wineries in Livermore. The winemaker Chris has had years if experience in the Livermore valley and it shows in his wines. It’s no surprise the Caddis took home a number of Chronicle wine awards, their wines is phenomenal! Caddis is located next to Wood Family and are only open a select amount of days throughout the year. I suggest checking their website before heading over. Their wine is something you won’t want to miss.

Wow, I’m impressed. When I was there (I think he is only open on special occasions and by appt) he only had 3 wines. But man were they good. 2 reds and a white. Not cheap, but you definitely get more than what you pay for. He just one some big medals too. Bottles start at 35 and go up to about 45 if memory serves. I’ve had $ 90 bottles I didn’t like better.
I met the owner and he said he actually teaches the wine class at the local jr college.
He said many of the grapes came from local estates. How cool!
My only complaint, after talking to him he didn’t know much about fly fishing. HE NAMED HIS WINERY AFTER A FISHING LURE! –½ star.
