Quick and easy Chinese restaurant that all the local staff members of all these big corporate offices come to during lunch. They are usually very busy during their lunch hour but work very quickly to get all of us in and out of the place to get us back to work. My friend ordered her soup with the chow fun thick noodles and I ordered the Singapore noodles. The noodles I got was delish and had a kick of spice to it with their house hot sauce. They have a great lunch special and will be returning with my co workers here for lunch.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants! I often stop here after work to pick up dinner for my family on the way home. The chow mein is very good. The staff is friendly, the prices are low, and the food is delicious! They also have nice lunch specials during the day if you eat in. My kids absolutely love eating here!

If you’re looking for a good meal, look no further. The food and service at this establishment is A1. Decided to stop here today for the first time and I am very pleased with my experience. The food was great and filling, will surely be going back soon.

I owe this restaurant another review, after experiencing some«attempted theft» there. I’ve noticed the wait-staff here«routinely» takes/keeps your change, as their tip. They«assume» you don’t want $ back for change. I’ve had it done on 2-occasions(so it must now be policy?). Both times I had to ‘complain’ about not having my change returned to me(I actually had to ask for it back). It is outrageously ridiculous, having to do that? And the main reason I am never returning to this establishment. I believe this is an «inmates running the asylum» thing because I used to see the manager all the time(during lunch) and now he is not there during that timeline(so, technically, you have no one to complain to — just the wait-staff?). There are so many decent Chinese restaurants in this area, I will choose one of them when I want CF for lunch. I refuse to «ask for my change back» at ANY restaurant.

great menu, great service, great prices. been here a few times for Friday lunch with my coworkers. lots of items on their lunch menu with each dish having soup, salad, and fried wonton… all for $ 8-$ 9 each. sometimes, you have to wait a for a table if their Friday lunch crowd is big… up to 10minutes. parking can be a little tough. again, I like this place so I keep coming back.

My friend just had some dental surgery and was in need of soft food and soup. Thinking soup, I think of Chinese won ton or egg flour soups. I wanted to get her something without too much solids in the soup and just soft noodles or something. So, I Unilocal for something Chinese and close by. We didn’t really feel up to driving very far. Good, I found this place Ming’s Garden. I didn’t see any garden the place lit by florescent lights but what’s in a name? right? We find the place in a strip mall(what isn’t in Livermore?) and go in. It’s a pretty small place, doing mostly to go and deliver orders I suppose. Delivery is $ 25 minimum and a $ 3.00 charge. We dined in. I looked at the menu on line and the website is pretty slick and functional which is more than I can say for most small Chinese restaurants. I think this place used to be Lo’s Chinese restaurant as they even still have the same menus with the old name! Most of the menu is all the usual familiar American Chinese foods, fried rice, chicken chow mein, egg rolls and sweet and sour anything you want. Well, we wanted soup and maybe just something else. We settled on the Egg Flower Soup, small($ 5.95)…easy to eat with no teeth and filling right? I also ordered some pot stickers($ 5.95) and an order of the Curry Singapore noodles($ 8.50), since my friend was gonna have most of the soup to herself. The soup arrives… hmmm, not exactly what I was expecting, like I wanted a plain soup with egg and some maybe tofu pieces in it. This was all jazzed up with green onions, mushrooms and other do dads. If I didn’t have a friend with out the use of her teeth, this may have been a better example of the plain egg flower soup served at every Chinese restaurant in the US. Trouble is, we just wanted the plain version. Well, my poor friend made do and slurped the broth and did the chipmunk chew with her front teeth on the solids. I felt bad for my friend sipping the broth and trying to chew using her front teeth. The pot stickers arrive with a dipping sauce. They look pretty much what pot stiucker should look like, but upon my first bite, I ran into a somewhat thick doughy outer of the what should have been a thinner delicate dumpling. The filling was just OK, but that thick dough a bit under cooked was not good… and worse as leftovers the next day! I think the Ling Ling frozen ones at Costco are better! Oh well! The Singapore Noodles were better though, although missing the scrambled eggs that are suppose to be in here. Shrimp is suppose to be in this dish as well… yeah alright… I found 2 freakin shrimps in the whole mound of noodles! Comm’on you guys, ya don’t gotta be that cheap… really? Other wise the noodles were OK, not the best but edible. We were desperate to just get some food my friend could eat, so I felt bad her soup was not as good as I’d hoped for her, but the rest of the food didn’t really stack up to most Chinese food standards. It was food and that’s about it. I’d not return here again.

I eat here atleast once every two weeks and the food is fresh and delicious. My favorites are the seafood chowder and garlic chicken. They only use white meat in their chicken dishes so that’s a plus. Overall, it’s good Chinese food and you won’t be disappointed.

Chinese food is such a hit and miss. Was tired and had an urge for some Hong Kong style noodles. Stopped here despite the 3 star rating. Got to say it was one of the best I’ve had. If you want great service and all that you should go to an expensive place. This isn’t it.

First time here, ordered the Mongolian chicken(not on the menu) it was just the right amount of spicy. The service was great and the food came quickly. I will return

Great food, we got food delivery last night and even though we are across the city, the food arrived hot and fresh and very delicious. We will be using this business from now on.

The woman who takes the orders is very rude but the food is decent. I didn’t like that I ordered duck lettuce wraps and the stuff to put in the lettuce was mostly vegetables. Not enough duck to actually feel like it was worth it.

Bad bad bad. Those are the only 3 letter words that describe this place. I went there today with my two children. Service was Horrible. We ordered chow mien, a wonton soup and Mongolian beef. Pretty to mess those dishes up. Chow mien noodle was not cooked and very greasy, Mongolian beef came out with hot spices after I requested that we don’t like hot stuff because I have kids with me, the wonton soup looked and tastes like dishwasher water. Yuckie. Never again and diners please be on the alert! Ah another thing I think they under cooked the chicken in the chow mien, I had stomach problem and so did my kids.

If I could put zero in this review I would! I came to this place called«Ming’s garden» like a four times. First time I was by myself and I had a bad experience. They seem to not care if you are eating by yourself as they are losing a table for two or four. The second and third time with my buddy and family(just to give them a second try) and we were fortunately treated better. But the fourth time by myself again today, waited and sat for 20mins and not even water was provided to me like I was invisible. The crew doesn’t even seem like they want to be there. I was ready to order but no one came to even acknowledge that I was there. I was right in the middle of the eatery they surely can’t miss me. I don’t usually post reviews but this place just deserved this and surely will help people decide where to have quality meals and time with friends or family.

Food is good and prices are reasonable but one thing that made me angry is that we went there for lunch with my family and our order was about $ 40. I paid with credit card and when I had to sign it I saw the owner/manager had filled out the tip section by him self and put a 15% tip. I usually give 18% but it was his loss trying to be a smart one. Will be looking for a new place for Chinese food.

This place used to be a Lo’s Bistro. I see that it’s now a Ming’s Garden and the reviews were good so we decided to give it a try. The sign on the outside said Ming’s and that it was new. We walked in and were the only ones in the place at 6pm on a Saturday. The lady greeted us and we sat down. We were handed menus and opened them to find out that the menu said Lo’s. I asked the waitress if this was Ming’s or Lo’s and she said its the same thing. This restaurant is owned by the brother now, so he put his name on it but otherwise it’s the same thing. I felt a bit odd about that because I was expecting a new restaurant to try. Anyway the food was good and they give you a free dish if you order $ 40 or more. Our kids got a free mini banana for desert and they loved that. I liked it too. We ordered mango chicken but they were out so we got string bean chicken which was really peppery. So just be warned if you are looking for something new this isn’t it. Same place, new name, new owner.

For a Chinese restaurant in a strip mall in Livermore, this is pretty darn good. I can’t vouch for all the dishes they make but the two I’ve tried during lunch were both good. The lunch specials come with a cup of hot & sour soup and a small lettuce salad. The salad is nothing special but the pre-made soup is decent. I’ve had the Singapore style noodles and the Snow Peas Prawns during my visits. They were both flavorful. Ming’s is also very generous with their portion and the prices are reasonable. Average lunch specials are between $ 7.25 ad $ 7.75. Parking is very easy, the restaurant is clean, and the service is excellent.

Went to Ming’s for the first time yesterday for a late lunch. I had to order the Mongolian Beef since it’s the plate I always use for an initial evaluation of any new Chinese place. It was terrific! Not quite as good as the fancy(and $$$) place downtown, but better than all the others I’ve tried in Livermore. We also had the Chinese Chicken Salad, which was good, with crispy white meat chicken, but not remarkable. I’ll definitely be back.

Ate here on Labor Day for the first time. The good was great! Chow mein, pot stickers, sweet and sour chicken, all soooooo good! The staff(ower?) was really friendly. The place was clean, including restroom! They even had a spend $ 40 get free plate deal! Definitely going back.

Had the Kung pao chicken lunch special. came with soup and salad. Soup was good but a little cold. I ordered steam white rice and the served me fried rice. They quickly brought me a cup of steam white rice. The food was hot and very tasty. The egg roll was ok lacking filling. They filled my water glass and checked on me which I like. I would return.
