Disappointed. Pizza delivered 30 minutes late and our pizza was cold. Had to pay 50 cents for ranch dressing but when driver didn’t give us Ranch upon delivery my husband went out to his car to get it and the driver was rude and told us we didn’t order Ranch — even though it was clearly written on our receipt. Driver was irritated and had several other cold pizzas to deliver after us. I believe there has been a change in management and I won’t be ordering pizza from here anytime soon. It was an overall disappointing experience. Called the manager about our negative experience and he apologized but seemed rushed to get me off the phone. He said he would call back to discuss the situation in detail and see how they could make it up to us. I have yet to hear back from them.

Let me start off by saying I applaud that they have gluten-free pizza. It is annoying however that they don’t have a dairy-free option. We ordered two pizzas and bread sticks on a Sunday evening at 5pm. One gluten free pizza, one regular peperoni pizza… not complicated… right? WRONG. An hour and a half later the doorbell rings. Finally, right? WRONG. Only one pizza… we ordered two… The guy calls his manager, says he’ll be back with the other pizza in 10 mins. Okay he just forgot it… right? WRONG. At 7pm he comes back in 10 mins with wait for it… a second pizza… Finally, right? WRONGPIZZA. The guy calls his manager again, we will have to reorder the pizza, he will come back in 30 mins… great. 5 mins later, he’s at the door AGAIN the manager wants to talk to us and he asks«What can I do to make this better?» and my husband responds with«get us our pizza!» DUH By 8:30pm I’d given up, we called and just said forget it, we ordered our pizza 3 ½ hours ago. BUT the«driver is out, there’s no way to cancel it» says the lady. UGHGRRR $(*%&%$*(@@)!!! 8:40pm the pizza finally arrives, and IT’S F*&^INGCOLD. Lesson learned… NEVERORDERPIZZAFROMHERE.

I used to eat here all the time when I worked downtown. After eating here a couple times, and getting sick afterwards, I got the message… I won’t be coming back here, ever. If I could, I’d give 0 stars.

Oh man oh man, on a Friday night after bar hoping around Livermore’s downtown, you gotta end your night with a slice of everything pizza from Mountain Mikes… I mean it was like the best piece of pizza that I had had since Vegas that I wanted to repeat the night the following night — but we missed it(NNNNNOOOOOOOoooOOoOoO… damn)… well it doesn’t mean that I won’t stagger here again. Note** That this might be the alcohol talking** but late night eats(besides donuts), decent price, great flavors and toppings… I know it’s a chain, but man that pizza was good… I was reading the other reviews and trying to figure out why the poor reviews, but nothing stuck to me… maybe it depends on the chefs on any given night… well Friday night chefs are F***king great! Enjoy a slice!

I felt compelled to write a review today not necessarily because of the pizza(which is, of course, always good) but rather because of the service I witnessed. After I bought some slices the gal who helped me out at the front, Amy, was approached by a Vet who had lost his wallet in the city. I watched as Amy went to the back and took money from HEROWNWALLET to pay for this gentleman’s slice of pizza. He couldn’t see from where he was standing that she had taken money from her personal wallet and used it to purchase his pizza and she made no mention of it which makes her act even more noble. Seconds after he was given his pizza, she was approached by 2 extremely rude and demanding customers who refused to wait 10 minutes for some fresh slices of pizza and handled the situation with more grace than I ever would have in a similar situation. I tipped her all of the cash I had in my own wallet(which was not much) but her acts are not lost on me. I hope at least this post is seen by co-workers and management. Its going to be a cold cold holiday here in the Bay but her actions certainly warmed my heart. She deserves a raise, bonus, promotion, SOMETHING!

Disappointed. It is not like the other Mountain Mikes Pizza that I have tried. Skip this place. There are plenty of better place to eat on that stretch.

These slices of pizza are amazing! The are huge and not very expensive at all about 34 bucks for a slice of pizza about the size of 3 normal slices! It’s the best late at night after the bar because they are always the freshest. Love this place, they do have there off days when business isn’t as fast there slices do sit under the warmer and they arnt as good as when fresh! But I would recommend them just make sure to get a fresh slice you won’t be disappointed!

3.5 stars. Pizza is hit or miss. I really like Mountain Mikes pizza, but the slices location doesn’t have the same consistency as the sit down locations. Last time we went in, the bottom of the crust tasted burnt. I looked at it and it wasn’t, but made me wonder if they burned a pizza, tossed it and then made a new pizza on the same pan. Can’t explain why else it had that charred taste. Customer service is always good. They are very gracious about refilling drinks and giving out ranch for pizza. When I went during the heat wave last week, the poor cashier was dying. It was VERY hot in there and I was in the dining area. I felt bad for her being sandwiched between the pizza warmer and the oven. Cool it down a bit! Happy employees are better employees. Thankfully she was still really super sweet. My kids love the high tables. We will be back. It’s awesome to have a pizza by the slice location in town!

as a former Chicagoan — I take my pizza pretty seriously(usually homemade with own sauce and crust) … I do stray occasionally to get a «pizza fix» — but REALLY — «you call this pizza?». I’ve had MM pizza from this location several times before — usually make the stop between midnight and 2AM on the week-ends and it’s has been passable — not great but commercially acceptable — not causing me to rant on Unilocal … but however the owner/manager is … you better look into preparation and quality control … it was ssooooo bad …” I WOULDN’T EVENFEEDITTOMYDOGS!”

I love Mountain Mikes pizza but when I stopped by here to try their pizza by the slice I was greatly disappointed. Way too much sauce for my taste. I will say however it was an enormous size slice enough to make a meal out of.

Recently within the last week, it was late(after midnight) I had just gotten off work and was hungry. Usually fast food for me includes In n Out… but no… craving pizza and what better convenience than a slice of cheese pizza at that hour?! Awesome… not really. Customer service was fine. Pretty gal at the register, took my order, passed it off to the«cook» who appeared to not speak english but he warmed up/boxed my food just fine… Two country-bumpkin’ drunk women were like«Hey youuuu! what pizza ya gettin?» I ignored them, of course. Not here to chat. I’m hungry drunken-fools. … but the pizza was bland. sauce tasted off. just had a really gross flavor… and the CRUST. Is crust not the best part of pizza? Had no texture to it, no «mountain mikes» goodness. Nada. So for that«pizza by the slice» you get 2 stars. Generous I would say.

Service is hit ot miss… depending which kid is working that day. Usually the girls are nicer. Their slices are pretty big and freshly made. Very filling so one will do ya good. Pretty cheap as well! I like their cheese pizza and sometimes I asked them to add mushrooms and they do!

I am crazy surprised at the low ratings on here! I fell in love with Mountain Mike’s Pizza when I was in college. The roomies and I would have a Mountain Size Pepperoni & Olive pizza delivered to our dorms and basically devour it like a pack of wolves. Mountain Mike’s Pepperoni is absolutely ridiculous delicious. So then I moved back to Livermore and frequented the 1st Street Mountain Mike’s whenever I had a hankering for pizza(now I always order a Pepperoni or the Pineapple Chicken Luau, both hit the spot!). And then Mountain Mike’s Slices opened, it was almost like an answered prayer that I didn’t even know I prayed for. Now I can get a quick massive slice and a soda for under $ 5! No need to call ahead and wait for the pizza to be made or argue over what type of pizza to get. Now we just walk in, get our slices. bada bing bada boom! And I love that they stay open super late. So on the rare occassion that I’m out at night and in one those ‘I need to eat something RIGHTNOW’ moods, I can stop in to get a slice of my favorite pizza instead of driving through Jack in the Box for 2 tacos and a curly fry that I’m totally going to regret in the morning, ya know?

I ordered two slices, different variety, but the sauce was really not great, and neither appealed to me. I ended up throwing them both out after eating less than half of each. The slices are a good size, but thick and soggy. I’ve been told that the other Mountain Mike locations are a bit better, but I am not tempted to try. I did get to sit outside on their patio on a sunny day, and that was very pleasant.

I dont know why this place has such a low rate on Unilocal because they are fabulous. I work at a nearby shop and myself and all of my coworkers have enjoyed a slice from this place on numerous occasions. I myself find the slices to be a bit big but I just cut one in half and have something for later. So i end up with two slices for the price of one! lol The slices are about the size of Saborro pizza, which everyone seems to know because theyve been to a mall before. The cheese pizza itself was definitely big on the cheese but things like the hawaiian, are just perfect. I say give them a chance if you are hungry for a slice and make your own opinion

Husband and I really wanted pizza and this was the perfect spot. Sure they don’t have a ton of choices but you get your standard: cheese, veggie, pepperoni, hawaiian. The slices are BIG and cheap($ 7.60 for two slices and two small drinks). Perfect if you want a quick slice, they heat it up for you before serving… will be going, again.

I had a very gross slice of pizza from this place. Do not go here! I should have known better after seeing the pizza on the tray in the display case, but I was so hungry and wanted pizza(which by the way is very hard to find by the slice in California). Anyway, it was a thick crust, slightly soggy, not nearly heated up enough, and way to much cheese on top slice of pizza. I did not finish it. It also cost $ 3.50 for a slice, which is a bit pricey for a slice. Also, since the place is technically a pizza place, and not like a sandwich place that happens to do pizza, I expected better quality. Also, while I am from the East coast, I expect if I walk into a pizza place and say I want a «plain slice» your cashier would know that means a plain slice of cheese.

I tried this place for the first time last night after the bars closed, it was great that it was open that late and the pizza was pretty good.

A slice and a soda for less than $ 5? Great deal. Nice that it’s located in the heart of the old downtown. Mt. Mikes makes traditional pizza. It’s nothing fancy, but hits the right spot when your feeling the hungers for a slice. Nice staff that is always friendly. Open late too. And the people next door at the wine bar don’t mind if you sit in their patio (as long as your drinking a glass of wine or a beer)…
