OMG, so good!!! I was totally suprised! I chose this truck because of the short line. I was asking a question about the Diablo Chicken and you thought I ordered it. Oh well, $ 10 later and I am a happy girl. That ish was bomb and it was healthy too. More Sriracha would not hurt either. I like it spicy! The brown rice and zucca noodles were awesome too. I can’t wait to try the rest of your menu!!!

A guilt free paleo food truck that caters to my workplace once a week! Awesome concept. My coworkers and I always the Diablo Chicken or Tri Tip. My preferred sides are the spaghetti squash, sweet potato mash or zucchini noodles as sides. Yum!

Thank you«Out of the Cave» for the support of NPD’s finest. Your participation in our fundraiser was amazing. Absolutely wonderful food. I had the tri-tip bowl with brown rice and zucc noodles. Perfectly seasoned and prepared. Real food — real delicious!

10÷8÷15(update): Tried a new item today. Please read the previews reviews for notes on other dishes. 1. Chicken Curry $ 10(no tax): Pretty good. They use dark meat thank God, cause breast meat almost always is way overcooked and dry when stewed. And there’s quite a bit of it too, at least enough meat to completely cover the whole box of food. Their version of curry is something between sauceless dry and some sauce. There’s a coating of sauce on the meat, but no real sauce left to drench your food, which I think with their substrates works out. The flavor is very good – lots of spice and strong curry. Very nice. I like this a lot. 8⁄10. Got my usual of brown rice and zucchini noodles. Good stuff. 4⁄5 #truck #curry #chickencurry #healthy

I had the Diablo Chicken with Sweet Mashed Potatoes and Brown Rice. I was extremely happy and can’t wait for them to be at the Stoneridge Mall again. A+

I went adventurous today and tried the Kahlua pig with cauliflower rice and zucchini noodles. These guys have mastered the art of grilling. Meat is super moist and loaded with flavor without feeling over salty or too heavy. I go on a Paleo diet for a few weeks at a time, but I’m pretty sure I can go months if I can find a way out to their truck more often. Need to ask if they do a meat sampler…

I didn’t realize I was eating«healthy», till after reading all the other reviews. Huh? Who would have thought eating healthy could taste good? I opted for the Kalua Pig and selected brown rice and the zucca noodles as my two sides. The pig was tender and moist. The brown rice was al dente and the zucca noodles were really good. I would have liked to have more of that. Maybe I’ll double-up on that the next time. Portion sizes are good and the staff were very friendly. We talked for quite a bit and I got a chance to learn more about his truck and culinary background. I would have preferred more smoke with the Kalua Pig, but otherwise, it was a good meal.

I tried this food truck for the second time with the kahlua pig with cauliflower rice and zucc noodles. I put some Sriracha sauce on the side. The pork is moist and complements well with 2 sides of choice: Cauliflower rice — mashed and finely chopped cauliflower that is seasoned well with salt and pepper. The zucc noodles are good too. The food here is mostly Paleo except for the brown rice. Portions are huge but well worth it. They specialize on what they do best american barbecue with amazing veggie sides full of flavor and meats are cooked, flavorful and they are moist. The tri-tip — you can have it «cooked your way». Alex is the owner and operator for this food truck — great guy with a sense of humor. Food is 5⁄5. Service is 6⁄5.

I love that they go to my Crossfit gym! Gives me more motivation to go to Crossfit after work and then order dinner to go! Haven’t tried much but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the kahlua pork and sweet potato mash. My husband also loves the zucchini noodles.

I highly recommend this truck! Everything is so good, it’s hard to believe that it’s healthy. The portion is just right too, so you don’t feel tired like you usually do after splurging. The gentlemen in the truck were friendly and efficient with a hint of humor… what more can you ask for. Only thing keeping them from a whole 5 star rating, was the lean drink selection. I understand trying to keep it healthy, but there are a ton of healthy drinks. Kudos! Keep up the awesome work!!!

Came to my work today, I reviewed the menu and thought«meh, healthy food.» I was totally wrong to be so judgmental, it is delicious. I had the Diablo chicken burrito bowl, it was a great serving size, filled with brown rice, lentils, grilled seasoned chicken, salsa and cheese. There is nothing about this that is boring or bland. The guys working the truck are quick and efficient, and very pleasant. I would be happy if they came to my work every week.

Tried Out of the Cave for the first time at Norcal Masters. Had the ground turkey with zucchini spaghetti, so amazing! I have never liked zucchini but this was absolutely amazing. It was a little spicy for me but flavorful and worth the heat. Would love if Out of the Cave went to Off The Grid in San Anselmo and could offer meal delivery options. Such an amazing find, would eat paleo 100% of the time if it could be this good.

I have been ordering their food every week for a few months now. SO delicious, convenient and healthy(paleo) I have a few favorite ones: Korean Short Ribs, Diablo Chicken and Tri Tip. The sides are yummy too. Spaghetti squash, and Zoodles are my faves. Good portions and tasty. I found them thru my awesome CF Diligence Box.

I should have gone with my gut and done the tri tip. But when i heard porchetta, i veered. now this is pulled porchetta… get it? Pulled pork-chetta. Unfortunately its sauced and what you normally get in porchetta, crispness and saltiness. The sauce they use drowns the taste and texture unfortunately. The sweet potato mash however is solid. Next time tri tip it is

I love the idea of this truck = Focusing on healthy eating! Not often you get a food truck that offers up healthy foods. Out of the Cave is mainly Paleo and Low Carb. I don’t go in for all this low Carb nonsense(Carbs are not evil!) but I can totally get down with the ”eat like a caveman” way of living. Out of the Cave came to a local food truck meet up in my town and I was pretty excited to try them as not only being different but the menu fit in perfect with my meal plans for the week. The line was long but moved quickly and I ordered the Curry Chicken with Spaghetti Squash — $ 10( ). I really wanted the Carnitas but although on the menu they hadn’t actually made any. Boo. The portion was a little smaller then I expected for the price and was a little sad that it wasn’t all that warm but it was tasty. The Curry has a bit of a kick to it so if you can’t tolerate spicy foods it’s probably best to give this one a miss. The Spaghetti Squash was tasty but a little over cooked and mushy(not much like Spaghetti at all). If they were to come out to my town again I would definitely give them another try, probably not specifically seek them out though. 3.5÷5 stars.

I love Out of the Cave. Awesome food nice guys. I am very happy to have found them because I like to eat healthy food on the low carb side and these guys offer a variety of good food. I have tried the chicken curry, my favorite, have also tried the bbq chicken, tri tip, porchetta(I may not have spelled that out right) and the Korean short ribs. Each dish has a distinctive flavor. Soooooo delicious. You gotta check em out. You will be happy!!! Oh yeah they have great sides too. My favorite is the cauliflower rice. good stuff. They also have mashed sweet potatoes, brown rice and a few others that I can’t remember but it’s all good. Happy Eating :)

Out of the Cave satisfies cavemen/women lusting a steady diet of proteins. here it comes either on a plate or in a bowl. plates have a few side dishes included(10 – 12) bowls(8) proteins: tri-tip, carnitas, korean bbq(i think), chicken, and a bunch more locale: san leandro street eats(3⁄26) eats: carnitas bowl(8) –has salsa, tender carnitas, chewy rice, pretty tasty small portion, smaller than chipotle *to get full, order the plate 3.5 stars leftovers: –no grunts here, friendly, helpful service –good tasting food costs $$, not pelts.
