Pretty good Mexican food but little pricy. Close to my house so it’s not too bad but nothing special.

I just had to reply to this last review regarding the food at Piccolla Casa. I don’t know where this guy went but it most definitely wasn’t wasn’t here. To begin with the prices are very fair and secondly they don’t even have Crêpe’s on the menu. They are currently closed for remodeling hopefully they will reopen soon and folks can judge for themselves

While off the beaten path in Livermore this place is far better than any other restaurant in the area and we have tried them all. My wife’s Caesar salad and my crab cakes were both excellent starters. The raviolis and eggplant parmesan were both delicious served piping hot. I can’t believe that after all the years of stopping in Livermore we had not discovered this restaurant. While we love the charm of First Street, we will definitely eat at Piccola Casa every time from now on on our way to the downtown movie house.

Definitely over priced. Awful. Crêpe is the worse one I ever had, over priced, not worth paying at all. Just get coffee if you like the view, but just DONOT get any food there. We will never come back here again.

If you are looking for a great location or nice room, this is not it. If you are looking for good food look no further. It was virtually empty on a Sunday evening. The service was friendly… but the language barrier was a bit rough. Prices are not low. Food came out very slowly… and this surprised me, we were literally the only ones there. Not much of a wine list, many choices but all ho-hum. We had: Herb Salad… fresh greens, walnuts and yummy cheese Mahi Mahi and mashed potatoes. Wonderful crust on the fish and the spuds were the real deal. Only complaint is there was a bit too much butter/oil in the dish. Profiterole…not your traditional choux paste… crunchier. Were OK, but I missed the real deal. Some things were OK and some were very good.

My mother and I had yet another FANTASTIC dining experience at Piccola Casa last night — where I took her for her 83rd birthday. I do not go there that often, but was very pleasantly surprised that both our server(Jose, I think?) and the bartender remembered me by name(welcome back Mr. Alex) !! Great service, EXCELLENT presentation and taste of the food. YUM!!! Highly recommended for great dining in Livermore.

Amazingly good food with great wait staff in a restaurant that belongs in the center of town, or out in the beautiful vineyards, instead of in a little strip mall that is not downtown. This is our favorite restaurant, and even though we want to scream«Location! Location! Location!» every time we go, once you are inside the door and taste the food, you stop thinking about how their clientele would quadruple if they moved downtown… you can only focus on the incredible taste journey you are having and be grateful that you didn’t have to wait to get seated, which is what would happen if they ever decided to find a better location.

I really wanted to give this place five stars. They try really really hard. I’m just not sure why the service was so difficult for them. The place was not crowded in any way on a Sunday night. But: –Making reservations took three phone calls. They never answered during business hours. They would call back but inexplicably would not leave a voice mail on my phone saying they called. –It took 30 minutes just to get three appetizers– the crostini had a hair in it which they graciously took off the bill. It had that rancid fishy smell of old cooking oil. –They could never get straight who had what dish and three times brought the wrong dish to the wrong person. They got the drinks wrong too. –My scallops, which otherwise were really wonderful and perfectly cooked, were not washed properly and had sand in each one– for $ 25! –My nephew fished a random clump of hard sticky rice out of his linguini. –The place looks like it was decorated from a thrift shop. I tried the ravioli and it was fantastic. My BF loved his Saltimboca and had no problems. Over all the food is surprisingly good and the servers, though very confused, are incredibly nice. It’s the general experience that is totally overpriced.

Five of us met here for dinner. It is definitely not in an obvious(or ideal) location. The restaurant was pleasant and Jose was an excellent waiter. All of food… bread, soup, salad, Filet medallions, Ribeye, Chicken Parm, eggplant and Halibut were very tasty and enjoyable. Desserts were great as well. We will add this to our list of preferred Livermore restaurants. Definitely worth a visit. Delicious food and great service., a great combination.

If you can ignore where this restaurant is located, you will have one of your best meals in a long time. Tucked away in a rather industrial area and a little hard to see from the street. Thank God for GPS. But the menu!!! I’ve been in 5 star restaurants in London and Paris that didn’t have as great a selection. My wife and I had the heirloom salad with motzarella and balsamic. She had the Filet and I had the duck. Both were excellent. The service couldn’t have been better — but that may be due to the fact that we were the only ones there that Wednesday night. My only knock is that their wine menu could be a little more extensive, especially being in wine country. We’re going back!

Great food every time! Good service. Our only complaint is the décor etc needs to be cleaned up and updated. Oh, and the prices are a tad high. But we still go anyways!

Love the fact that this place had no wait for seating on a Friday night. A bit turned off as we approached because the exterior and strip mall it is situated in leaves a lot to be desired. It was a nice surprise that the place was charming inside, with table cloths and well dressed servers. I liked the décor and the bar had a nice look to it. The food we had was really good but we had eaten earlier so we ate light: Starter sampler platter-smoked salmon flat bread was yummy, bruschetta was also tasty. The beef skewer was a bit like barbecue. Roasted Vegetable Napoleon-so delicious. Roasted veggies perfectly cooked and presentation was beautiful. Food takes awhile but that tends to be a good indication it is freshly made. If you’re not in a rush and tired of chains this is a local’s hideaway worth paying a visit.

Pros: –Unassuming location and look, so it never gets crowded. –Beautifully laid out foods and desserts –Great service from start to finish –Food was great –I will come here again because it is a casual place to get high quality, top restaurant food without the wait or dress code. Cons: –From the website and the pictures of their food, I thought it was a fancy place and I dressed accordingly. It is NOT a very classy place. It looks run down with cheap décor. But the waiters look nice and professional! –Although the food sounds and looks great, the taste is a bit bland. Mashed potatoes just have butter. The Mahi-Mahi just tastes like fish. The artichokes taste like artichokes. There is no extra flavoring to make the food unique. If you like the food as is, it’s great. –I have to idea why this is considered a Mediterranean restaurant.

I’m a little surprised by the high ratings this restaurant has received. I visited for the first time this week, and found the place terribly under-whelming. The«atmosphere» is lacking and the food was okay, but not great. It didn’t have the rich flavors or interesting presentation that I look for in a non-chain restaurant. I’m not sure how this restaurant is «Mediterranean», as it says on the sign. My friend had a shrimp po’ boy… I’d give it another try because of the other positive reviews, but having also just tried Terra Mia, which was much better, it will likely be a while before I visit again. On a positive note, the service was good.

I’ve been here 3 times and am impressed each time with the service and food. Today, started with the Heirlooms Tomato Salad and my wife ate the Classic Caesar Salad. Both were crisp and fresh. The tomatoes were thickly-sliced, firm, juicy red and yellow tomatoes with mozzarella cheese and lettuce. My wife said her salad was excellent. For the main course I had the rack of lamb over penne. Exquisite. My wife had grilled filet medallion. She could not finish her portion, so I did her the favor. She raved about the sauce and the waiter came back with the chef’s ingredients. I’ll return again and again.

Definitely not a Mediterranean restaurant … more like«Strip Mall Chic» but in a good way. Finally made it to the restaurant last Saturday night… working in food service myself makes a Saturday night date a tough one to find… but hey I’ll take them when I can get them. Restaurant was bright, clean and nicely appointed. A very limited menu(would make Gordon Ramsey proud) but there is something for everyone… vegetarians included! I had the Soup of the Day(Shrimp Bisque) and had the Seafood Paella as the entrée. My lovely wife enjoyed the Bruschetta with Mango and Heirloom Tomatoes and had the Low Carb Salmon entrée. The wine list featured many Livermore Valley Wines and are attractively priced. When leaving we met friends who were also enjoying dinner… say they dine here at least twice a week. Raved about the Roasted Garlic Prawn Appetizer(don’t order a serving to share … get one of your own!) We’ll definitely be back soon. Kudos’s to our server Eduardo!

This Restaurant is a hidden Gem in Springtown of all places! Food is a-may-zing.I’ve never had a bad meal or appetizer here — crab cakes-awesome, bruscetta-awesome, bread with vinegar oil mixture-awesome… They have an appie platter that is definitely worth trying as it give you a taste of many different yum yums. My personal favorite entrée is the Volcano Skirt Steak… mmmm Service staff are attentive without being too in your face :) Prices are reasonable for both the food and wine. They also do catering — I’ve yet to use them but will definitely try them out this summer! I would have given 5 stars if not for the ambiance/décor and location. could be improved :( I love this place!!!

This is a really nice spot for a dinner out. Their pours of wine are very generous(and they have a great selection of good local wine). They have really contender worthy calamari as an appetizer. I have been strictly warned that it is dangerous to turn down their specials of the evening(entrees), because they are uniformly delicious. I tested this out when I was here, going with the mahi mahi over spinach risotto, and it was delicious.

We just had the most FANTASTIC dinner we’ve ever had within 60’ish miles of home. We’ve only had better food on vacation. WOW! The service was amazing our drinks never emptied(we had iced teas) and they even picked up all the little sweetener packets every time they refilled our glasses I’ve NEVER had a server do that. We ordered the appetizer sampler plate it was great the best thing being the Volcano marinated skirt steak. Other items included two different delicious bruchettas one had heirlooms tomatoes, Mango relish, and fresh mozzarella cheese, the other had mushrooms, goat cheese, and heirlooms tomatos vinaigrette(I liked the second one better but they were both fantastic), calamari rings cooked to perfection(no nasty chewy rings), salmon on a small slice of the same bread the bruchetta was on with a creamy dill sauce, scallops on a slice of yukon gold potato, and crab cakes. It arrived very quickly, as SOON as we finished they cleared our plates and brought us bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar that was the best balsamic I’ve ever had! As soon as we finished that they brought our beautiful meal, not only was there an empasis on presentation but everything tasted AMAZING. I had the«Pan seared day boat scallops, new potatoes, sweet corn, baby spinach, tomatoes, Meyer lemon beurre blanc» and the handsome man had the«Combo» which had beef medallions with… a merlot reduction, garlic mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, and shrimp in a Meyer lemon beurre blanc“ We shared tastes of everything and were in food bliss by the time we finished. When the dessert menu was brought i thought«I can’t eat another bite», but I saw crème brule with grand mariner and I couldn’t pass it up. I’m glad I didn’t it was the best crème brule I’ve ever had, and I’ve even eaten in very expensive places in Napa and even their crème brule didn’t come close to what Piccola Casa offered. I don’t really think this is a place for kids, which is fine for us we’ve been looking for a «date night» place and this is it.

Last night was our second time at this place. We were taking another couple out to dinner so wanted to go somewhere we thought would have good food. After our first experience being a good one, we decided to try it again. There aren’t many good restaurants in Livermore so it’s a little dangerous sometimes. Anyway, it was very quiet, almost creepy, being the only customers in the restaurant. There was one other gentleman dining alone, but that’s it. First course was an appetizer sampler. The chef put together a nice platter w/crab cakes, a combo of two different kinds of bruschetta, skirt steak skewers, stuffed mushrooms and scallops. Everything was very tasty. Our main courses were all delicious! I had the lamb dish, my hubby had the salmon and our friends had the scallops and the special. We were all very satisfied w/the quality and taste of the food. After all that you wouldn’t think that we would be brave enough to squeeze in dessert but we went for it anyway. We had the banana split and the crème brûlée. Both were yummy. So nothing bad to say for our second time around. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable as well. Will come again.
