This was such a great find on our way to the Syracuse Airport(only about 15 minutes from the airport). We had time before our flight and preferred to not eat airport fare and really landed on a gold mine at Café 407. The salads and panini sandwiches were clean and delicious. We loved that the ingredients were fresh, and sourced from local farmers. Pour-over coffee and chai tea latte were both such a welcomed comfort on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We loved the feel of the café and the service was outstanding. The barista personalized our visit with on-the-house chocolate chip cookies as we headed on our way to the airport. We also love that it supports Ophelia’s Place, a non-profit in pursuit of helping others love their bodies as they are.

I love Café at 407! They have awesome farm-to-table food and great coffee. Plus it all goes towards an amazing cause. This is my go-to place to work outside of my office!

Usually very good and even somewhat creative food and pastries, but very very sleepy service. There was one person ahead of me when I came in and I spent 15 minutes there just getting one coffee drink.

I really wanted to have a 5 star review for this place but considering all factors at play I am unable to do so. The space, décor, atmosphere and mission statement all generate an automatic 5 star rating. The menu is fine– not a ton of options BUT that is ok. When done well a small menu can be a beautiful thing– a welcome change from overwhelming choices. I had breakfast items so eggs and toast. I like that the toast is homemade. But it was just eggs and toast– nothing to knock my socks off about. I would love to try lunch options– esp. the kimchi and PB sandwich– very intriguing. As for the coffee, they offer full range of classic café options. But my americano tasted burnt, so that put me off a little bit. I will definitely go back and give the menu another shot, if not to just have regular coffee and socialize.

In the Syracuse area there are so many options for coffee or pastries that sometimes it can be daunting. What I can tell you, is that very few of them are as unique and have such a great back story as Café at 407! They opened about 6 years ago in order to support their non-profit: Ophelia’s Place. Which is a very important cornerstone in the community. All that being said, you are going to love their food and their drinks! They have some of the best pastries and coffee around and their prices are very fair. I really love coming here and always enjoy see what new specials they come up with. It always feels nice getting my coffee or tea kick knowing its for a good cause.

I really love this café. The service is friendly. Cozy seating is very welcoming. Their chai lattes are awesome. The chicken salad panini is excellent. Breakfast and lunch are offered, along with coffee, teas and smoothies. Baked goods are also available, even gluten free options. On a recent Sunday it was packed and there is no surprise why.

Café at 407 is a decent place to pick up a good cup of coffee and maybe sit down for a chat or do some internetting. It features several pieces of stuffed furniture in which to relax. Pastry offerings are sparse. It closes at 4pm on Fridays. As a non-profit, it lacks the urbanity of somewhat more upscale shops, but it is an asset to this Syracuse suburb.

Delicious! I ordered the Beet & Goat Cheese Panini, which came with a side salad. The beets were supremely sweet and the goat cheese was creamy and fresh. The housemade bread was AMAZING! The side salad was not a bland afterthought, as it is in so many establishments. This salad had super fresh greens and chickpeas, tossed in a heavenly dressing. My husband ordered the Pork & Pickles Panini. His sandwich was equally delicious… we’ll definitely be back many times!

Good coffee, nice environment to sit down and chat. Open and airy. And the proceeds go to a good cause; it’s a non-profit, basically. What’s not to like?

Everytime I come here the staff is always friendly and the food is great too. The menu is always changing so you don’t get bored with the same old choices. Tea. Coffee. Pastries. Food. Relaxing atmosphere. My to mention their mission is great too. They are fighting against the struggles of eating disorders and body dissatisfaction.

Had my daughter’s shower at the Café and it was awesome. Carole and Shauna made sure everything was perfect, couldn’t ask for two more wonderful people. The staff, the food, the atmosphere all made the shower memorable. I could not have picked a more perfect place for such a special event. Thank You!

I’ve visited café 407 on several occasions and each time was a unique and enjoyable experience. It has a very relaxed vibe and seems to have enough seating I’ve never felt rushed or crowded, even during busy times. I like the free wifi, super fast. I love the chai latte, but on my most recent visit I arrived heavily caffeinated and the barista pointed me in the direction of the chai teas that are decaf. Sooooo good! I believe the one I had was the dream tea, and it was brilliant. A nice loosely packed tea pillow in a large frothy mug. I also had a sandwich which was Brie on toast essentially, and I could have lived without it. It was ok, but the beverages have always been the stars of the show for me here. It’s a nice stop to visit and catch up with a friend or to grab a cup to go.

What an amazing idea: a coffee shop that doubles as a revenue source for Ophelia’s Place, an organization that serves those coping with disordered eating and their families. The food here is healthy and delicious, especially the steel cut oatmeal(though sometimes it’s a little heavy on the cinnamon). Mostly, though, I come for the coffee. Their light and flavored roasts are quietly some of the best in the area. They have soy and almond milk, along with choice of sugars. The café is a great place to study, meet a friend or colleague, or just sit for awhile and read a book. I’ve done all of these things, and the café always feels like home.

The minute you walk in, you feel the relaxing, inviting vibe. As others have noted, this is a very comfortable place to sit and read, talk, or surf the web(free wifi). Their food is of the highest quality and freshly made without microwaving or relying on Sysco. The breakfast burrito is one of my favorites — the salsa they serve with it is so flavorful and well-seasoned, I could eat it alone. They have a wide selection of teas, and even though I don’t generally go herbal, some of them are awesome — Chaucer’s Cup in particular(a berry mix — I forget all the ingredients). Great alternative to the big box coffee shops. You could argue that the prices are a little high, but I’d counter that the fresh ingredients, and the ethics of the place(they have a very positive message and are connected to a charity) override that.

What’s not to love about this great little coffee and bake shop? I don’t even drink coffee but the atmosphere, baked goods, wifi, and cause make this a weekly stop. I highly recommend the monkey bread. It’s not the cheapest, but I don’t mind because it’s supporting such a wonderful charity.

So, another review I read began«In love, in love, in love…» and I couldn’t agree more. Café 407 is so quaintly tucked away across from Onondaga Lake Park that you might miss it. Fortunately, good tea, great service and beautiful patrons draws in repeat business. That’s the nice part about Café 407: it isn’t elbow to elbow loudness and cranky coffee machines pouring over beans. It’s really nice home food(with a crafty chef) in a bright, airy friendly spot. Wins: The view of the park is relaxing. The staff pick up the phone and you almost want to reply, «Hey, hun.» It’s clean. Like, the bathrooms are clean. The floor is clean. The tables are clean. Even the neat smörgåsbord of chairs that don’t belong together but they are comfy, colorful and vintage enough to brighten up the space add to the charm of this charming café. Losses: I only ordered tea(insert sad face) which means all the more reason for me to return. I’m a lover of anyplace where I can cozy up in a corner with a book or a laptop and work while satiating my appetite. Order some of the exotic flavors they offer for tea. You won’t be sorry. See you again Café 407.

In love, in love, in love! Syracuse has such a gem of a coffee shop in Liverpool. Perfect place for meetings, delicious healthy food and to just kick back and study… and of course COFFEE! Incredible, incredible coffee. The place was absolutely packed when I came in on a Sunday morning around 11am. Breakfast menu items include egg sandwiches, oatmeal, burritos. I decided to go with a bowl of soup, which I was advised was a «lentil chilli soup of sorts.» I wasn’t sure what to expect, but when I got my huge bowl of soup and dug in, I was super psyched. It tasted like a hearty stew of sorts and had potatoes, lentils, carrots, tomatoes and was just about the heartiest and healthiest food item I’ve eaten in a while. It was served with a side of focaccia bread, which I loved cleaning up the plate with. The coffee was incredibly delicious as well. The café has a private room you can rent for meetings and conferences. All the proceeds from the café fund a non-profit. Well worth it to come here for lunch, coffee, breakfast or anything in between!

Perfect lunch spot. Soup, salads, wraps… and breakfast options. Great coffee selections and flavor shots. Got an iced coffee with maple cinnamon flavor. They had the cold brew coffee which I wish I tried. .16 hours to brew! Staff was friendly. Great find when pulling off the 90 on the way home to Buffalo.
