Was in a few weeks ago and the food was great! The wings were outstanding! Kid-friendly and well staffed! Loved our server!

This place is great. My family and I have become regulars. It’s not«traditional pizza» from your local pizza shop but the taste is not foreign. You know you’re eating quality Italian pizza. Do not be discouraged by the«well done» style, it doesn’t taste or look burnt. The restaurant is well run, great staff, nice family atmosphere with a cool bar. My favorites are the traditional pizza, salad & meatballs.

I’ve been there a couple of times, and have been impressed with each meal. Consistently good pizza and salad — good portions for both.

You cannot go wrong here. This is the meal deal of the century. Delicious food cooked by hot coals. Even their simple green salad is great. Calzone. Yum. Wings. Yum. Meatballs. Yum. I love this place!

I love this place. A cute full bar inside and small outside patio and tables for the warmer months. The service is excellent. I love their meatball and ricotta pie, in fact I’ve been dreaming about it since I last ate here a few weeks ago. Great craft beer and cider selections. Drink specials like a great champagne cocktail I enjoyed. Plenty of apps like salads and wings, nice choice of toppings on the brick oven pies. Only thing you won’t find here are pastas, which some people may want on this menu as an option. They take reservations and we have had great service from their manager and wait staff the two times I’ve been here with groups.

Today my team had a farewell lunch for a colleague and boy did we eat well today. First I must say that the staff was AMAZING especially the manager… He knew right off the bat what we should have as a group — he recommended FAMILYSTYLE since it was a big group. That was not such a bad idea… The food was presented as follows: 1. Mixed Salad… the salad knocked my socks off — it had the right spices with dressing, chick peas, olives, red onions, and tomatoes… almost every one on the table had seconds and thirds… LOL! 2. Wings… get this — the wings are baked and served with caramelized onions… so so tasty… 3. Cauliflower — it was sauteed in oil and garlic — this dish was unexpectedly really good. 4. Meatballs served in Marinara Sauce with Foccacia bread — OMG out of this world… the meatballs were so good… the group attested to that… 5. Eggplant… it was lightly sauteed with Marinara sauce — very good 6. Lastly, 4 different thin crusted pizza pies(pepperoni, meatballs, plain, and cauliflower) Lunch was OFFTHECHARTS and I too am proud of myself because I was able to contain myself and not over eat — Well KUDOs to me for that… hahahahahahaha… Happy Eating!!!

I like Anthony’s pizza. They char it(it’s their specialty) and if it’s not your thing, then go with their wings and salad. The wings are oven roasted with tons of onions. Unique and delicious. Salads are hearty and crunchy. All their pizza’s except the cheesesteak one are worth ordering. One pie is enough for two. Their sandwiches are eh. Beer options are ok. A couple of seasonal. Service is always good with the exception of one visit and the bartender was MIA for long stretches… Not many bar options in the area. Tends to get busy on the weekends because of this. ENJOY!

Cold beer and pizza that is totally different than anything in the area… Anthony’s Coal Fired has quickly become a Friday night(and pretty much any other night of the week) hot spot in town for good reason. We love their variety of tap beers and their meatball pizza is highly addictive! Also a huge fan of their house salad.

Not bad. Came here in July with the family. The food was decent but extremely pricey. We all had pizza and got an order of the wings. I thought the wings were pretty good. Not sure if we’ll be back just due to the price.

I couldn’t wait to try this pizza so I decided to just do takeout since no one wanted to go. I ordered two small 12″ and it came to 42 dollars !! I was shocked I should have for the large for $ 22! I am far from cheap but that is crazy for a small Pie I don’t care what you get on it and really it’s ok nothing for that price to keep going back.

Went to Anthony’s last week when I was in NJ at a friend’s parents’ house. They live right down the street from Anthony’s and we wanted pizza, so what better place to go than here! We waited for about 20 minutes outside and then we were seated. I started off with a glass of cab; we also ordered a family size salad for the table. It was tasty, laden with olives, tomatoes, onions, and chickpeas, along with a classic vinaigrette. It was easily enough for 5 people– maybe even 6! We also ordered 20 wings… They were soo good. I love trying different types of wings and you could definitely taste the«coal fire» on these ones, while being juicy inside. They came with carmelized onions and focaccia bread, which were both nice additions. These were my favorite part of the meal. For our pizza, we got a large between 5 people. We ordered a traditional pie, half mushrooms and the other half ricotta and prosciutto. The ricotta and prosciutto was an amazing combination… WOW! The pizza was pretty tasty, crust was good, but there could have been a bit more cheese. Our service was great, but Anthony’s could get a little more light in their restaurant. It was super super dark inside and there were no candles on the table or any form of additional light. Not for the«faint of sight…»

This restaurant is pretty good. I really enjoyed the pizza but I do think the wings are a bit hyped up. They were pretty salty and my party was disappointed that they didn’t have any kind of sauce for them. We all wanted to cross the street to 7⁄11 to pick some up! But anyways, although the restaurant is big, they really don’t utilize their space in the best way to seat as many customers as possible. Also, I’m not sure if it’s because of the high ceilings or what, but the acoustics of the restaurant seemed to elevate the noise level. I’m in my early 20’s and can totally handle loud environments, but I had the worst headache while in the restaurant. Although the pizza was seriously good, it took forever! It wasn’t very crowded when we went, so we were surprised that our one pizza that we ordered took 45 minutes. Furthermore, the wait staff is basically non existent since we saw our waitress twice the entire evening. I think this restaurant could be a really good place if they would just adjust some minor issues.

I went to Anthony’s for a bridal shower. They kept the restaurant open to the general public and had us off in ½ of the restaurant. The food was excellent. Everything from the salad, to the focaccia bread, to the chicken wings(omg), to the pizza itself. It was very delicious. Their margarheita pizza was to die for. Being an Italian American, having good brick oven pizza can be hard to come by, your grandmother would be proud of this place! I would return with my husband for a casual meal, a drink or to watch a sports game. I’m not sure if it was the party that coordinating the timing or the place itself, but it took a long time for the pizza to come out. The service was just OK as well, but it could have been just a blimp on the radar, and would not deter me from returning. Anthony’s is one of those pizza places that smells so good your mouth starts watering immediately entering the place!

A restaurant bar style place similar to a Friday’s. Ordered their wings and enjoyed them. The caramelized peppers on top of the wing go well with the garlic bread served with the dish as well. I highly recommend them for lunch or just the 10 to split as an appetizer. The wait staff was very engaged and attentive. The beer prices are extremely high with a beer like Peroni(Italy’s version of Bud light) costing $ 6. Solid location and I think it has lots of potential if they diversify the menu and decrease their drink prices.

LOVELOVELOVE Anthony’s and coal fired pizza! I’ve been a long time customer of the Clifton, NJ location and will probably ONLY go to the Livingston one again. Not only was the hospitality friendlier, but parking is SO much better. I came here for dinner with my boyfriend about a week ago on Friday night. It was busy, as any other restaurant is on a Friday night and the staff was extremely courteous. 1. FOOD!(The best part) –I recommend the wings. They were good! –For pizza, I prefer my pizza to be well done and I like it dark. Some people don’t and will send it back here if it’s «too dark», that’s what happens though when you get coal fired pizza and there are signs all over warning this. However, this pizza doesn’t taste«burnt», you can really get a taste of the coal and it makes the flavor SO much more savory and delicious than regular pizza. 2. THESTAFF! –VERY friendly. The girl up by the front door who put our names on the list to wait was very friendly, easy going and made you feel like your business was welcome, unlike the Clifton location. –There was a nice waiting area with a small couch or two and the servers came by and offered bite size pieces of pizza while you waited. I enjoyed this nice touch, being that I was STARVING! –Our waitress was also very nice and while we were eating our dinner, the manager came by to ask how our meal was and if we were being taken care of. He also did this throughout the restaurant. You definitely have to come here! :)

My family is so excited that Anthony’s is walking distance to their home. We arrived at 6 on a Friday night and had a short wait. I liked the little patio with heaters so we got drinks and waited. Inside it was packed and not a lot of space between tables. We had 4 adults and 2 high chairs and got a table meant for 4, but we made it work. Our server was friendly and on top of refilling drinks and clearing plates. My family now has the menu memorized. We started with their wings. I thought they were just ok. Kind of burnt tasting. We got 2 pizzas– one with cauliflower and mushroom. I did not care for the cauliflower pizza at all, but the mushroom was really good.

I think this place is awesome. I grew up near here and was back home visiting my parents. There’s hardly anywhere else to go for Pizza on-demand unless you go down to Calbria’s. So my dad gave us a $ 5 off coupon and told my brother and me to go there if we wanted to, when we were visiting home to help our parents move away. We loved it! I decided to order the Broccoli Rabe, Sausage, and Italian Bitter Greens. in a large pizza for lunch for me and my brother. He didn’t like it that much, but I thought it was wonderful! I wish I had this place near where I live. It is odd that it has a full bar but if you oder a coke, they bring it to you in a bottle.

This place is great! I’ve been waiting for a nice spot to open up in town that serves a good selection of craft beer and this is it! Livingston is not known for having any bars or restaurants that serve alcohol other than Landmark, which is great for what it is, but can tend to get uncomfortably packed since it’s so small and a dive. Anthony’s has the atmosphere of a more upscale sports bar that’s also great for families. There is also an outside area that’s heated. As for the food, the coal fired pizza and meatballs are pretty good, but not spectacular. The service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back and I will definitely be a regular. The only downside is they don’t have NFL Ticket.
