We decided to replace the carpet and tile throughout our first floor great room, kitchen, powder room and laundry room of our home in West Bloomfield while we were still living in California. We had to work from memory, old photos, and trust in our contractor. After several conversations with several contractors, we selected 1 Wood Floors. Ed spent the time to educate us on the options, Installation, scheduling, and care of wood floors. We took a big chance, having not met him or seen his showroom, but this chance paid off! We have completed several renovations in our home, and no other contractor has ever exceeded our high standards to the degree that Ed and his team did. We receive so many compliments on our new floor… and we want to repay those compliments to 1 Wood Floors. They are professional, pleasant, trustworthy, and could give lessons in customer service to Nordstrom and Disney. Their attention to detail made our friends with hardwood floors jealous, and they went far above the call of duty to make sure we were completely happy… even offering to help us correct mistakes made by other contractors. It is rare to see an unequivocal positive review for a contractor, but 1 Wood Floors certainly deserves it!

And their team went beyond the call of duty to ensure 100% satisfaction. The level of quality you will receive cannot be beat by any other hardwood company around the area. I have received stellar reviews and praise for the condition of my floors from everyone that comes into my house. They feel like polished marble and look like a picture perfect glass surface. In addition, they provide excellent trim and other wood finishing services which also turned out amazing. We hired 1Wood Flooring to put in new hardwood floors over most of our main level last week. The job involved ripping out carpet and laying down flooring in the family room and kitchen. We had a great experience with this company. Ed really helped us with the process of determining exactly what type of floor would work best in our home and the specific rooms which was something the local competitor did not do when we tried there first. We’re not design people and he helped us figure out what would look the nicest style wise.
He explained to us in detail exactly how the quote would breakdown so we understood what we would be looking at before getting the bottom line. In places where he could save us money, he was able to do so. He offered us what we felt to be a very fair price for the product and labor.
Four guys came out and did a really nice job on installation day. Nothing unexpected happened, they took great care of our belongings and left no mess behind for us to clean up. They arrived when expected and completed the job well in the amount of time expected. They were professional and courteous. A week later we are loving our new floor and would highly recommend them.

Working with Ed and his team was an absolute pleasure! I needed the job done fast. Ed managed to get me on the schedule right away.
