I walked in with my family and the first thing I noticed was that it is obviously an order crowd hangout. Not a bad thing, just an observation. Looking at the menu you realize this is going to be an EXPENSIVE night. I had French onion soup to start which was good, it had some of the best cheese I’ve ever had on a French onion soup but it was missing that subtle sweetness you want from the onions and instead was more peppery(if you like that more power to ya). I had the tornado ala marsalas which is a nice cut of steak in a almost sherry gravy sauce with mushrooms and onions. It was pretty good however the big issue I had was almost the EXACTSAME sauce on two other dishes the table ordered besides mine. I don’t know about you but that bothered me a lot. I expect each dish to be different and unique at a restaurant or else what’s the point if half the dishes taste the same? We also got desert, I ordered the NY style cheesecake with strawberries. It was ok, it was a little grainy and not as smooth and creamy as NY style cheesecake should be. All in all, pretty good food, but overpriced for the quality. I don’t think I can get passed multiple dishes using the same sauce though.

Owner sat the bar drinking. Choice of words sometimes not the best. Food was average. Décor was outdated. Server was average but lacked menu knowledge

Not very fancy but service is efficient. There is something for everyone here. My favorites are their house salad dressing(so good), stuffed hot peppers, filet mignon, salmon, and chicken parm.

While looking to shake up our normal Friday night dinner restaurant rotation, my dad threw out the idea of taking a little road trip to Lockport and checking out Cammarata’s Restaurant. I’m sure glad he did. It’s just a small Italian restaurant, a little outdated on the décor but has very reasonably priced food and friendly employees. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs — I could not believe the size of the dish of pasta I received. It was HUGE… And came with a side salad(try the hot bacon dressing — yum) and garlic toast, for $ 8.99. It’s a steal. Their spaghetti sauce is slightly sweet, and reminded me of my Grandma’s homemade sauce that she made while I was growing up. I really enjoyed my dinner. My folks enjoyed their dinners too — my dad liked his lasagna a lot and my mom was very happy with the chicken Marsala that she ordered. I think it’s definitely worth checking out Cammarata’s if you’re out in the Lockport area. I can’t wait to go back.

While on a trip in Buffalo during August and September for a class reunion, I had the pleasure of dining at Cammarata’s for lunch and a few weeks later for dinner. The food was suburb. For lunch I ordered the chicken salad sandwich recommended by my server and it was delicious. I had dinner on a Friday evening and ordered the lobster bisque and shrimp that were outstanding. I would highly recommend dining at this restaurant. Don’t miss this!

Ate here with the family. I hadn’t eaten yet that day, so I was happy to have some decent chicken and pasta, which three others in our party ordered, but the dairy-based coffee creamer was not cold when I put it in my coffee. Big mistake. Let’s just say it’s a good thing my parent’s house has two bathrooms, because I had to occupy one of them for the rest of the night. Definitely not going back after that experience.

I called to get pasta maybe its just me but I find very disrespectful to ask is that it ask if I would like a appetizer be friendly sound like you want me to eat your food don’t sound like I am bothering you with my order even if I am this was a to go order 1 star cause of that rudeness over the phone

Let’s be honest: this place has been around forever, and they last updated around 1993. But their lasagna is awesome. Food is consistent, every time I go, and service is typically good. However, they totally blew off customers(me!) at the Taste of Lockport a couple of years ago– stood in line, girl walks up to us, then walked away!– even their manager was yelling at them. Last summer was almost the same, but I remembered previous experience, so I ended up waving my hands in the Air and saying«hi». As long as I don’t have to do that in the restaurant, it’s all good.

Food is good at dinner but fabulous for lunch. Daily specials very creative and yummy. Salads huge and fresh. The Cammarrata sandwich must be experienced. Pasta, soups, sandwiches. All good eat there once or twice a month. 4 stars because the decode really depresses me. Unchanged forever

The food was OK. The funny thing was my wife had a glass of water with a slice of lime at the start of the meal. Later in the meal, after a refill, the man at the next table had the lime and my wife did not.

My husband and I enjoy dining here on special occasions. The food is very good, very reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is friendly. My husband likes the steaks here. I like the pasta dishes. We usually order an appetizer and, sometimes, dessert. There are good beers and wines to choose from, too.

Had Easter dinner here — great lobster bisque. My wife doesn’t like to do a whole turkey for the two of us, so we let Camararta’s do it — delicious dressing, as was the entire meal. Bob Camaratta is a gracious host!

Another Lockport restaurant with poor food, poor service with an attitude, a building that has seen better days, and high end prices and yet there are always customers in there. The only thing I can figure is tradition. I lived in the are for 38 years so I know what I am talking about. If you find yourself in the area, drive over to the Village Eatery. It’s close by and you will have an amazing dinner, at a good price in a nice atmosphere.

Came here on the suggestion of a friend who lives in these parts… was just looking for someplace I hadn’t been before. Cammarata’s is completely average in every way. I don’t mean that as an insult… it’s just a basic family restaurant. No bells, no whistles… just a regular American place. I had a good dinner here… eggplant parm… I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. Portions are large, there’s a standard beer and good wine list(MANY local wines — nice!), and friendly staff. They’re doing something right… it looked like there were a TON of regulars in the dining room and the décor looked alittle dated, so they’ve probably been in business for awhile. I’d go back if I was in the neighborhood, I suppose.

Probably one of the best long running mom/pop Italian restaurants in Lockport, New York. Good service, and good food. One of those local joints where all the guys come in to sit and the bar till close. They have a full menu with daily specials. I enjoy being able to have my spaghetti and meatballs with a bottle of ice cold Heineken. Large parking lot, and plently of friendly waitresses. Support a family run business and eat your next dinner at Cammarata’s.
