Extra Space Storage

Very clean and professional establishment despite the poor location. The storage facility seems to be very secure. Hopefully this season at this storage will meet my expectations.

In my line of work, I must always have a storage unit for keeping my supplies. So, in the past six years at my job, I’ve experienced three storage facilities. This one, a Public Storage and the other privately owned Liberty Self-​Storage in Jersey City.
You can tell by my star rating, I’ve experienced better, however, I would not totally write off this location by any means. I have just had exceptional service at the facilities.
Pros: The location is convenient to a number of major highways (17, 46, 80) and common areas are always clean of debris. I have never felt unsafe.
Cons: On a number of occasions, there haven’t been carts available to haul my boxes (from the 3^rd floor to my car) which is a total pain in the you-​know-​what. And unlike other locations where I’ve rented, they do not allow you to throw out anything, not even broken-​down corrugated boxes. Lastly, they recently increased my rent by more than 10% without any notification (they just submitted the auto payment to my credit card). I understand an increase but more than 10% in one shot is a bit much in my opinion, especially without some type of heads up.
