If you like you’re Chinese food full of flavor and fresh you will love King Tsin. Quality meat, fresh vegetables and full flavored sauces are served here. You will not experience soggy sweet and sour or one noted offerings that plague many Chinese restaurants. Also, the family who works here are kind, fun, and will remember you forever. The best meal to share: Moo shu pork Pot stickers Cherry Pork Mongolian Beef Lemon Prawns Garlic green beans White Rice The key to enjoying a meal here is diversifying the sauces… get a sweet one, a spicy one, and a salty one. If you’re goal is a great meal, rather than glutinous portions of mediocrity this will become your go to for Chinese.

This is my favorite place to go when I have a hankering for take out, it is really good. I am not a fan of the cherry chicken it is too sweet for me, but I love the kung pao here.

I get the cherry chicken every time and it is one of the best dishes ive ever had. There is always room inside and the service is pretty good. Not the best ive ever had but it is definitely good enough because the food is amazing. Also the take out is just as good as the dine in options and the staff is always very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Went to King Tsin with a party of four on a Saturday night. The restaurant itself is a rectangular room in a strip mall with sturdy furniture and minimalist décor. Service was excruciatingly slow, probably due to a very large birthday party of 20+ people who beat us in the door by a few minutes. The food was, for me, a throwback to California style Chinese of the 50s and 60s. Vegetables were fresh, the sauce was brown, the sizzling rice soup sizzled, and the whole fish was unavailable. The old school menu includes pre-selected menus for parties of different sizes with all the old favorites. Blast from the past!

Love this place! I had been here many years ago with my family but since then I have started a gluten free diet and Chinese food has pretty much not been an option for me. But I found out that King Tsin has gluten free options for a lot of there entrees including cherry chicken and lemon chicken which are my favorite! They said to just call ahead and give them like an hour heads up so they can prepare the accommodations including making sure all of the pans and kitchen items they use don’t cross contaminate! So awesome and appreciate them going out of there way and not to mention the food was so good! Seriously taste just like the original :)))

Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! The best recipes — it always tastes like we have a personal chef. In fact, we do — it’s all cooked when we order, not ahead of time. I got to know the owner, Teresa when they were on School Street years ago. This location has much better parking! She cares about the quality of the food and it is consistently excellent. It’s not a fancy place and the service is prompt(not overly friendly unless Teresa is your server). The best mu shu pork!

The best Chinese food in Lodi, without a doubt! I love their Chinese Chicken Salad, and the Chicken Chow Mein is amazing too! Definitely recommend.

This is a gem of restaurant! Amazingly fresh, perfect balance of flavors! The staff is super, and they customize food easily. We found this because they offer dedicated prep gluten free(important for those who are Celiac). However, I would guess that most patrons would be unaware. By far this is the freshest and most flavorful Chinese food I’ve had! We drive from Sacramento, and will certainly continue to! Everything we’ve had has been great. However, I have to say that the Walnut Shrimp(which can be COMPLETELYGF) was unbelievable! I don’t say that lightly — literally the best I’ve ever had(GF or not!). To add in, I have traveled to Asia more than 2 dozen times; this is still the best I’ve had! I’m not typically a fan of tea; however, here the tea is such a nice balance of mint and green flavors, that it was enjoyable on a cool winter’s night. Circling back around, it is the staff(which included one of the owners), are clearly wonderful and engaged in what they do. This, in my experience, is what the secret sauce really is. Suggesting a nice blend of sweet, spice, mein and vegetables; the result was undeniably excellent. Thank you to our friends at King Tsin!

Three words… First and Last. We were wondering why there are no Asian people in this restaurant. And now we know.

I give 2 stars because the food was average/good; however the service was to be desired as one of our waitresses was rude and acted as if she didn’t want to be there let alone wait on people. The portions are too small for the price. As much as I like to support local small business… get your act together King Tsin or may not return

THEIRVEGCHICKENISNOTVEGAN, it has eggs. I never really asked, I just assumed because I thought I knew that protein, but it has eggs. It is still vegetarian and very good but I will try my dishes with tofu instead. The mongolian dish with sauteed tofu is still really good. I tried the cherry fried tofu and that was still good as well. If you’re vegan ask for tofu or veg beef but if you’re vegetarian ask for veg chicken! I’m sure the veg beef is vegan because I’m familiar with that protein, I don’t prefer it but others do like it!

GREATCHINESE! My wife and I get the KINGTSINDINNERFOR3. It is just right for two people to have a filling dinner and have a little left over for later. The Mongolian beef is spicy, but we ask for mild. Best Mongolian Beef I’ve ever had. Same with the sizzling rice soup and the cashew chicken. Now– for the«desert». Prawns A La King Tsin. I’ve never had anything like it and I wish all Chinese restaurants made this. SO good. keep that sauce and pour it all over that white rice they give you. It’s the only way you’re going to finish all that white rice. In addition, order the Cherry Chicken. I don’t think it’s on the menu(but cherry pork is). Again– so good and have never had anything like it anywhere else. You won’t be sorry! If I ever drive through Lodi again, this is where I will eat.

I eat here about twice per year. I’d say that 6 months is about how long it takes me to forget the quality of the food and service, and to give them another try. Then, I am quickly reminded why it is that I wait the 6 months before I visit again. I was torn between giving two starts or three, so I thought I’d be nice and round up instead of down. My recent visit was better than my past visits. I went during lunchtime and the place was moderately busy. We were seated quickly and our order was taken right away. The waitress was nice and our drinks were brought out right away. If I go during lunch, I always order the same thing: Mongolian Chicken with«filet chicken»(aka, white meat chicken and no mystery pieces). The flavor is pretty good but the dish is really oily. The large side of white rice that accompanies the dish soaks up a lot of the oil, but beware of this oily situation. It will likely make itself known in the form of a rumbly tummy later that afternoon. Yikes. My favorite part of the lunch special is the sizzling rice soup that is served before the main dish. Note that they sometimes substitute sweet and sour soup for the sizzling rice soup, so don’t get your heart set before asking your server. Anyway, back to this soup… It’s really not that impressive but I do like the flavor. It’s clear broth with little floaty pieces of sizzling rice, and if you’re really lucky you may find a sliver of a mushroom or green onion in your soup. The soup really shines if you place a separate order for the soup itself. Then you get lots of delicious, crunchy rice pieces, mushrooms, green onions, and sometimes even little pieces of shrimp. Much more impressive. Like I said before, my recent visit was much better than my last. Service was friendly and quick, food was served fast and it was piping hot. Not a bad visit, just not the best Chinese food in town.
