First time dining here. Were greeted and seated immediately. Nice ambiance; clean, & tidy; tastefully decorated. Awesome service: super quick and courteous. Ordered the Hong Kong dinner special for 2($ 9.95 each — DEAL!!!) All dishes were served hot, very fresh, not oily or heavy, and portions were HUGE! Very glad we stopped in and will absolutely be returning!

I went to California to help get my Grandmother get ready to move last week, so we needed to get take out because all her stuff was packed away. I found Dragon Palace on line and it was nearby. We ordered a few dishes. First lemon chicken, it was a VERY large portion and tasted great. Next was sweet and sour pork, very good as well. Pork fried rice was good. Ginger beef… was so so, the chunks of ginger were too large and when you bit into one it was overwhelming even though the beef was tasty. The egg rolls dont come with meat in them and were awful and greesy. I will say the food was good, not heavy or oily for the most part and i would recommend giving them a try. I will comment that you need to ask for hot mustard and extra soy sauce and sweet and sour to dip you egg rolls in. The gal who took my order is not overly friendly and is stingy with the condiments lol. But $ 27 for all the food was a good deal.

The food was absolutely excellent. We ordered the Golden Dragon dinner for 2 people and everything was really hot and freshly made. Especially the fried rice. Many Asian restaurants make one big batch of fried rice for the day and it gets dry. Their fries rice was hot and steamy, fresh from the kitchen. The service was prompt and I had an overall good experience. The food was very flavorful.

The Dragon Palace was my favorite Chinese restaurant in Lodi, and I’ve recommended it to many people. I recently had a negative experience, which surprised me as the restaurant has been consistently good. We arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed and were the only 2 people in there. The initial contact and subsequent service took forever and the 4 dishes we ordered did not arrive at the same time. I requested the first dish be reheated as it was not hot enough. We had almost finished eating the other 3 dishes when the first was returned to us, still not hot enough to eat. In fact, none of the dishes were really hot enough to eat, and we were not asked at any time if everything was ok. We thought perhaps this negative experience had clouded our judgement regarding taste, but after reheating at home the following day, we concluded the food was still really bland. We did notice the take out side of the business was busy and food was prepared fairly quickly. After my own experience and reading the other reviews, both good and bad, it seems take out might have been the better option, and we’d have had much faster service. This business should be take out only. Sadly, it’s highly unlikely we’ll go back again for dine-in or for take out.

My favorite in Lodi and the best price too. Order it for take out and get 20% off? Sweet. Meal for the whole family for $ 20. Love it

The food here is fresh! It is a smal place for sure. Been quite a while since I’ve been here. But e and the wife wanted to try something different Lodi. well as far as a different Chinese place and we both remembered this place from way back. Glad we did food wasn’t greasy and like I said very fresh. Ordered family style and took the rest home.

The food varies. Sometimes it’s ok, and sometimes it feels like a waste of calories. Sometimes they’re decent paced, and sometimes they’re super slow even if it’s not busy. The waitress isn’t too friendly either.

This was our first time at Dragon Palace. We have never heard much about the place so never gave it a second look. We ended up here after an attempt to eat at King Yen Café in downtown Lodi. Let’s just say we were scared to get out of the car. We may try it again during daylight hours. Anyway… back to Dragon Palace. We arrived and saw only one table occupied. This initially made us worry we made the wrong choice. After waiting a few minutes for the one single waitress working to seat us, we looked over the menu. They have a traditional Chinese Restaurant menu. We ordered 4 appetizers and 4 entries for four people. The fried green beans were amazing. The lemon chicken was fresh, crispy and full of flavor. Our waitress was very polite. We will definitely go back. My 12 and 14 year old sons are already talking about going back soon. BTW… Our bill was only $ 55 and we left with a ton of leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

I normally get good service here for lunch but, for the one day my family decided to have dinner there(which happens to be tonight) we waited for at least 15 minutes for a server. Which in fact never came. So … we got up and left.. . Which was very dissapointing. It was easily more than $ 100 transaction. So we decided to go across the way to OZ who has never disappointed us.

I eat here at lot during my lunch breaks but the last time i came the waitress was sick. Sneezing and coughing. Few hours later I started sneezing. I hoped I didn’t get it from her. So I’ll wait a little before I start eating there again. One thing I’ll suggest don’t order water. Their water taste so nasty. I’ve always wondered why they put it on red cup? Dirty water? Idk.

As a frequenter of Chinese food restaurants, I must say this place is pretty decent for Lodi. I placed a huge 15 dish order over the phone and so surprised that everything I ordered was actually made! They did not screw up at all! I did find the dishes more bland than other restaurants but it still satisfied my cravings. I did enjoy the honey walnut shrimp dish the most because of the unique combination of ingredients, which then made the dish more flavorful. I will not order any beef dishes again because I found the beef rubbery and the Mongolian beef dish was very oily. I was disappointed in how small the take out portions were. I didn’t realize they would be in the cute little white Chinese take out boxes with red writing. I was expecting them to be in the rectangle aluminum take out boxes with the detachable white paper lid. Basically, the portions seemed half the size than other Chinese restaurants. I do appreciate the 20% off the total bill when you’re picking up your order vs delivering costing $ 2 more. I scored considering the short trip basically gave me about 3 dishes for free!!! My bill for 15 dishes came out to around $ 76 this time around. I say that’s pretty good for an authentic Chinese restaurant. Staff were friendly, very accommodating and especially patient with me ordering the food.

Here we are, three years later. Was excited to come here for Lunch. I had Lunch Special 1, which consisted of Garlic Chicken, Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein. The flavors were decent. Big portions, took about half of it home. Daughter had Lemon Chicken, which she liked. Son had the Three Seafood Delicacy, I suppose he felt adventureous. The Man had Lunch Special 5, which was Broccoli Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein(barely any chicken in that) and BBQ Beef Sticks(very chewy). He was left feeling very underwhelmed. Egg rolls were good. The Man and I got our food about 5 minutes before the kids got theirs, which felt a bit awkward.

After finding out Chop Chop is closed on Sundays, we decided to try this place and we are so glad we did. I ordered take out(25% off for all take out orders!). The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The lemon chicken was served with the lemon sauce on the side so it did not get soggy. The beef and veggies had a great balance of both. The fried prawns were crispy and not greasy at all. We will definitely go here next time we want Chinese food.

After reading the reviews, we ordered for delivery at an impromptu family gathering we weren’t prepared for feeding. I think my list of items was 8 or 9 long including appetizers x 3; Sizzling rice soup; a couple of entrée’s; Chow Fun noodles; and two kinds of rice. All of this came in under $ 60 including the delivery fee of $ 2. Food quality was as good as any other average place, the delivery was fast even though the order included pot-stickers which traditionally slow down the prep of the order and we fed 4 adults and a 2 year old with plenty to go around and quite a bit of left overs. I’ve ordered this much food before and spent way more We’ll definitely order delivery here again if we are in the mood for such.

Ok, so a month ago we visited one of what I thought was the best Chinese food in Lodi. Once again we decided to try dragon palace even after our previous nightmare. I cant even begin to tell you what a huge difference it was. The service was on key. There were actually 2 staff helping. Our food was hot and fresh. Not window cold, and we actually got tons of refills. Plus napkins without asking. It was once again our favorite Chinese restaurant in lodi. Fingers crossed that next time will be as delightful.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here on the 4th of July before the firework show at Lodi Lake. We were the only customers there for a while, but another couple came in and their phone was ringing like crazy for takeout orders(25% off takeouts). We were acknowledged very quickly and was asked what we wanted to drink on the spot. The waitress gave us our menus and seated us in front of the TV. We decided on the dinner combination plates each($ 9.95) and we substituted one side with another for $ 1 each. I had the fried prawns, garlic chicken, and chicken chow mein. He had broccoli beef(but gave us broccoli chicken), chicken chow mein, and sweet and sour pork. Large proportions and everything was great, but the broccoli chicken was not a part of our order and we had to put a lot of soy sauce on it – one star deduction for that. Next time, I won’t get the prawns because they were tiny and plain. All in all, it came up to $ 25 with drinks and we enjoyed most of our food. Service was quick and pleasant. The place appeared clean and nicely decorated. I probably will come back when I’m in Lodi.

My wife and I absolutely love this place! It has become a weekly ritual for us to go and have sizzling rice soup here for lunch(YOUSHOULDTRYIT! ITISAMAZING!) The atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. Menu prices are very reasonable, and I have yet to be disappointed by food ordered here.

Oops ! My wife and I made the mistake of dining at DP, rather than ordering take out. Last night was a Friday night, around 6pm, so the place should have been crowded with diners. After a party of four left, we were the only customers in the restaurant. Not a good sign… It took forever for the cook to plate our orders. My ordinary Chinese dish was unremarkable, but my wife detested the half-order of duck she had requested. She reported it being tough and rather tasteless. Our two dogs seemed to like the remains, though… Service was friendly, but not too efficient. The waitress should have encouraged the cook to speed it up, but, instead, she waited to do so until I had complained about the excessive wait time. Since there are plenty of merely average Asian joints in Lodi /Stockton, we will not be returning to DP. What a shame…

It’s been a while since I first wrote a review on Dragon Palace, and since then our family has dined there or got«take out» dozens of times since. I would gladly rate them 4.5 stars if there were .5 ratings, but I’m very close to almost giving them 5 stars as it is. Their service is always spot on, and they have been very accommodating when we’ve ordered for take out right before they’re closed at times. I highly recommend Dragon Palace for both dining in or taking out. Their food is always fresh and tastes great, and prices are fantastic in my opinion.
