Over the years I’ve eaten her many times and it has always had decent food with very good service. However the last time we ate at Strings the food was a bit bland and luke warm but we gave it no thought being a very busy Friday night. Well, we decided to order pickup this past week and it was NOT good. I’d say horrible, but the salad & dressing is so damn good. Our two meals were lukewarm at best. We had to microwave our entrees. My wife said the artichoke raviolis were maybe 5 of 10 stars. I had the baked lasagna and it was thee worst lasagna I’ve ever had. First, the serving size is tiny for $ 14. It was cold. The sauce and meat had no flavor, no spices, nothing. Browned ground tasteless beef. I will not be going back any time soon. I’d rather pay a few extra bucks and have a great meal down the street at Pietro’s.

Usually we enjoy the food here. So that is why I give it two stars. But first time I have ever been in there waited almost 20 minutes and not one acknowledgment that we even existed. So left and went to get Chinese. Granted resteraunts tend to short staff anyway hope you exp differs.

This place is my all time favorite, no question. I’ve tried other Strings Italian Restaurants located in the area and none of them are as good as the one on Kettleman Lane. Customer Service is always phenomenal, food always tastes amazing, and overall just a great environment. The restaurant does get busy from time to time however I never see a drop in service.

Thank you to Strings so very much for their wonderful service! And thank you to whoever so generously paid our bill this evening. We spent the evening at Strings with our wonderful 96 year old friend, Art, who is a WWII veteran and were so pleasantly surprised when we went to pay our bill and were told it was taken care of. Your generosity is so very much appreciated by myself, my husband and Art!

My family & I went to Strings for family pasta night(Wednesday). They offer an all you can eat pasta dinner(with soup or salad) for $ 9.00. Our server greeted us pretty quickly. Since we have been here several times, we ordered right away. My husband & I both ordered Spaghetti; he chose marinara sauce & I chose meat sauce. We also ordered a kids meal(spaghetti w/marinara sauce) for our son. Our server brought our food & drinks right out. The salad was more than enough for the 3 of us to share and their bread is delicious. I was surprised at the quantity. My husband’s plate was full to the rim with spaghetti, my plate was only 2⁄3 full and my son’s plate was so small that it kind of caught me off guard. Although we order the all you can eat dinner, we have never been hungry enough to ask for seconds. We typically take the leftover spaghetti home to have the next night(you can only take leftovers home if you order one plate. If you request seconds, they don’t allow you to take the extra to go). My husband had enough to make a second meal but my son and I did not. My husband asked if we could have another piece or two of bread to take home and for the first time ever we were told that we could have one piece of bread free but additional pieces were $ 1.20 each. I thought this was very odd. Like I mentioned earlier, we have been coming on Wednesday nights for years and this was the first time we have ever been told that there is an extra charge for bread. We ended up ordering two pieces of bread to go. I am sure the next time we go to family night, we’ll hoard more of the bread during dinner so we have enough for the three of us to take home to enjoy with our leftovers.

This place reminds me of Olive Garden. You’re not gonna get traditional Italian food here, but the food isn’t necessarily bad. It’s just not particularly good. Even the bread they bring out in the beginning seemed like it had been frozen and reheated. I would recommend sticking to the specials. The tortellini was good, even if it was a little like frozen pasta from a bag. However, the other people I went with did not like their meals. The calzone was apparently not very satisfying and the artichoke hearts on the pasta seemed frozen as well. In general, the ingredients here are not fresh and the meals are pretty standard, not very exciting. The service was great though which is why I gave it two stars.

Strings is one of my favorite restaurant in town. Food is delicious and the quality never changes if they are swamped or have a few table food and service are always consistent. Atmosphere is family friendly and Strings does a great job with large groups. Servers are quick, quiet, and kind. Try the Pasta Sienna it’s my personal favorite!

Strings has always been a go to for my family. We love the food, friendly service and and overall enjoyable atmosphere. That being said, I would have given them 5 starts anyways. However, the icing on the cake was the private birthday party that they allowed us to host there this past weekend. Mark and his staff were EXTREMELY helpful, accommodating and attentive during the entire planning process as well as during the party. The staff made all of our guests feel welcome and taken care of and Mark made sure that everything ran smoothly and that everything was to our liking! I am so grateful to him for making this event flawless! Although I was pretty much impressed with everything, one of the standouts was of course the food! I know sometimes when restaurants convert their dishes to buffet style some quality is lost. This was definitely NOT the case! The food was great if not better than any other night at Strings! We had several appetizers to start with during our first hour(they were kept warm and fresh the entire time, thanks to the staff’s attentiveness!!) and four signature Strings dishes and salad and bread for dinner! For desert, we brought our own cake which the staff helped cut and distribute. It was an amazing and special event and all of our guests were super impressed by all aspects of the evening from the food to the impeccable service to the great space that they allowed us to accommodate our almost 90 guests! I really can’t thank Strings enough for making this event so special!!!

Strings is one of those restaurants that very much matches the vibe of the community it’s located in. Casual, simple, a little outdated in appearance, middle of the road in terms of most of its food quality, but with a few hidden gems here and there on the menu. Oh, and with lots of friendly people. Yeah, basically its a restaurant of the people, by the people, for the people. :) The food is something that people with average palates will appreciate, but that food snobs would probably look down upon. I try to be as objective as possible even with my somewhat snobby background, so that’s why I add that part. If you are looking for super fancy, «I want to impress my date» kind of place, this may not be the right place. If you are looking for mind blowing Italian food that you could never dream of cooking at home, probably not the place. That being said, my husband loves it, and I always enjoy my food when I come even if its nothing super spectacular, and the service is always very pleasant and attentive. As others have mentioned, they have very good, simple salads(well portioned too which is great!), and a great salad dressing. Snobs might look down upon it but I love that they add raisins! Its a nice change of pace from most Italian joint salads. Pastas/sauces are solid, although at times have tasted a little less than fresh to me. Same with the bread and soups. But I can’t find it in my heart to give them less stars because this place has kind of worked its way into my heart as a place my husband and I can go and have a relatively low cost, simple pasta and wine meal together. Cheap and romantic, and quieter during week lunch hours.

Always great and attentive service! When the family comes into town we rally them up here! Enough variety on the menu to enjoy! Fresh bread is so good! Their salad has their house dressing lettuce, onions, carrots, croutons, raisins, & sunflower seeds! I personally enjoy the soup and salad combo. However, I took a plunge n tried the tortellini alla panna! My new favorite! My hubby always gets the veal parmigian which is a huge serving!

Did you know that you can buy Strings dressing to take home? It doesn’t come bottled, they just fill up a 16 oz. styrofoam cup and throw a lid on it. It’s about $ 6 for 16 oz, not too bad. I had a special request from a good friend for Strings salad, so I made my own at home and added their dressing. Voilà!!

This is our go-to Italian place. We come here for dates, or even with our extended family for a group meal. The interior is not too crowded or noisy, and the décor is pretty. Very clean and simple. We’ve never had to wait long for a table. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and we always enjoy our meals. Our favorite is the cheese stuffed shells! The salad and bread that comes with every entrée is also delicious. Very satisfying italian food at reasonable prices! No complaints here.

Surprised to see some of the bad reviews. I have been coming to this place off and on for the last decade. I don’t usually like Italian but here I will eat it. Restaurant itself is clean, well decorated and staff is well dressed and polite for the most part. It can get a bit loud and the prices are slightly high but if you fill up on the bread and salad(which is delicious btw) you usually end up being able to take some or all of your entrée home so you get your money’s worth. I can’t give it 5 stars but it definitely doesn’t deserve less than 4.

Not bad, not great, but I’m willing to come back. Upon walking inside the place appeared clean and the décor was surprisingly nice(except for the ugly table cloths). Our hostess and server were both attentive and neither of us felt rushed as we looked over our menus. I got the seafood Alfredo, while my husband got their spinach pepperoni Alfredo. He was very satisfied with his. Mine had a good amount of shrimp and scallops in it, and they were perfectly cooked, but the sauce… I’ve been spoiled by a place in So Cal… it was ok. A bit thin but ok. Their bread was good and they were generous with it. Worth a second try, and I hope that I can give a better rating.

The Groupon deal I got was super duper! For about $ 45 worth of food, my receipt came out to $ 3.06 and my date and I were super excited and took pictures of the receipt. Our server was a sweetheart and came back to our table at all the right times so he got a good tip. To get(among artichoke dip, tortellini alla panna) + Free bread + Pasta Siena + Molten chocolate cake The dress is very casual — flippy floppys and short shorts allowed. In fact, if you wear anything fancy you will look out of place. I probably like this place because it’s so cheap and I wouldn’t mind coming back.
