All I can say is, REDS! For such a small tasting room we weren’t expecting the treat we got walking in. The region is really starting to produce some delicious wine and this place stood out of the 15 wineries we went to because their Reds were delicious! Their prices were beyond reasonable as well! We also loved our server, he was the son of the owner and you could tell he knew his wine and was proud of what his fathers winery was producing! We will definitely be back!

My favorite stop on Seneca Lake by far! The tasting room is intimate and comfortable providing excellent service with many quality locally produced wines to choose from. My favorites are their Cab Francs which rank among the best wines I have ever tasted. Their prices are good with a wide range of choice. A must stop!

A guaranteed stop during my little close to home getaways. King’s Garden has quickly won over my heart and my palate. Specially when every single new red release is delishiz! The tasting room is small compared to the more popular vineyards in the region, so be patient and plan accordingly if you are traveling with a group larger than 10. It’s recommended for limos/buses to call ahead and set up an apt. New Releases and my new favorites(descriptions are from the site): 2011 Knights Blend: released early December. It is a(meritage style) blend with equal parts Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is bursting with dark cherry and raspberry and ends with an extremely smooth finish. This popular blend is that easy GOTO red for that works well with all foods and all occasions. 2012 Cab Franc/Syrah Blend: Early January was our release of the very desirable 2012 Cab Franc/Syrah Blend. This is a true 50⁄50 blend that has wonderful cedar oak nose that leads you to a rich dark berry essence and finishing with a lingering spice. This is a fabulous food pairing red that compliments well with a hanger steak and yet still can be just as tantalizing with a dark chocolate cinnamon truffle. Both are in my arsenal! I can’t wait for my next visit in February!

Small and unassuming, but don’t let that fool you! The owner was there to explain the whole wine making process, and he really seemed to are about the wines, what we thought, which ones to taste, everything! The wines were excellent and some honestly some of the best finger lakes reds you’ll find. The whites weren’t bad either. The interior is small, so don’t go there for the atmosphere. Go for the wine.

We ended up out in the porch because the tasting room was crowded with folks from a wine tour. We weren’t in a rush so we relaxed admiring the view and breathing in the fresh air ’til things cleared out inside. Then, the lady came out asking if we wanted to do the tasting out there. Unanimous yes! It’s $ 3 for 5 tastings. We opted for their reds… 2 cabs, merlot, cab franc, and Syrah. So no comment on their white options. The dry reds are the shining star — 2010 cab is good if you can believe it for FLX(an award winner too). The Merlot has a nice berry fruity body, but finishes dry. I left with a bottle of that. I prefer this tasting room to the one next door. So if you’re choosing between one or the other, Kings is the way to go especially when the weather is nice so you can enjoy their awesome porch. Bring a bag lunch or snacks and stop here to eat. It was really beautiful and a perfect break midday.

We visited King’s Garden on a Thursday afternoon and were the only people in there, but we really enjoyed it. It’s a pretty small and unassuming building, toward the north end of «the strip» if you will. The couple running the place were very nice to us and we ended up chatting a lot in addition to tasting some great wines. I think the guy working there was directly involved in the growing because he knew a lot about the grapes and the history of types of grapes being grown in this region. It was really interesting to listen to him and get some great knowledge about the region. If you’ve had your fill of sweet Rieslings and dessert wines elsewhere along the wine trail, stop here! They have several great dry reds that are a refreshing change of pace from a lot of what’s available in the area. They say the Finger Lakes are known for their Rieslings, which is fine, but one does want other types of wines as well.

The flavor of these dry red wines are better than the air you breath! Not to have them would be to die a slow death.

Very friendly and informative. They carry a large variety of wine styles. I liked their oaked Chardonnay, the Cab Franc, and their 2008 King’s Cab(Cabernet Sauvignon).

Real friendly folks and some cool wines — even a Syrah! We went home with the 2008 Merlot and the King’s Cab, both were robust, complex and damn tasty.

Great wine, the pour-ee was alone, under staffed but very hospitable none the less.

I can’t believe there aren’t more people raving about this winery! I noticed that there were only two reviews on Unilocal because I googled the winery to find the phone number so I could order another case, and I thought, I just have to contribute! My family vacations almost every year in the Finger Lakes region, and I have been to the tasting rooms of every winery on Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, and I have to say that King’s Garden’s Cab Franc is by far the best. They are small and unpretentious, but there is quality and love in everything they do. Check out their Chardonnays and also the Cab Sauv.

We visited this winery as a first stop on our way to Seneca Lake. We bought two bottles of wines — Cabernet and Merlot, using advantage of «BOGO» offer — Buy one get second half price. We were not charged for tasting — that was unlike any other winery, but most importantly the wine was excellent and reasonably priced. Afterward we visited many other wineries and found only a few comparable by quality and price. The other two we liked were Leidenfrost Vineyards on the same side of the lake and Fulkerson on the other side of the lake. We returned to King Garden to buy more, but unfortunately it was closed.

Wow! Do I really get to be the first to review? My fiancé and I really enjoyed our visit to Kings Garden. They are owned by a husband/wife team who are clearly wine nerds, they love what they do and they love wine as a whole. Kings Garden’s has everything you would want and expect from a Fingerlakes winery: beautiful views, an attractive interior, and delish white wines. They also have: very friendly and knowledgeable staff, amazing red wines, and great prices. We enjoyed everything we sampled here, except perhaps for the super sweet«jester’s juice» which was a bit cloying. That is to be expected from a sweet wine however. As you would expect from a Fingerlakes winery, the whites were very good. What was unexpected is how amazing the reds were. We both loved the cabs, merlot and the«Knight’s Blend» a meritage wine. We got several bottles. I also loved the«Wicked Wench» a cute bottle of what just might be the best blush I have ever had. It was light and refreshing, sweet with out being cloying, and packed just the right amount of kick! It has a lot of options, its summery notes would make it a great picnic or BBQ wine, and married beautifully with spicy food. I could also see drinking it with salads and fresh seafood. I shared the bottle with my parents at an Asian fusion BYOB place, and both of them thought it was a fantastic wine as well.
