My fiancé and I got engaged here. The view of the lake is here is phenomenal! As far as picturesque goes I could not possibly ask for more.

Amazing beer. The guys were super nice, too, when they were asking what we wanted.(I’m not very decisive). Their IPAs are amazing and they have such an awesome view with a HUGE deck/patio. Really an awesome brewery and a must-stop on any wine or beer tours, without a doubt. Loved it. X’s and O’s! J

The view here is beautiful. My husband and I arrived just after four on a gorgeous day. I wish we’d arrived earlier, because the staff had a vibe of impatience and annoyance that they couldn’t have shut up shop at four. It is a shame, because the wine is quite good. We had one tasting and then enjoyed a glass on the large back patio. We walked to the grapes before settling at a table, and they looked vibrant and healthy. It was a charming scene. Then, at 4:42, the music stopped. We still had 18 minutes of this lovely escape! Suddenly those of us left out there could awkwardly hear everything each other said… the bartering about who would drive home, the getting-to-know you sweet nothings of a younger couple. I get it, 5pm is quitting time, but they don’t know what people have gone through in order to get there. We have three kids, including a wild two year old, and this to be a pleasant hour of respite. Our tasting bartender was sweet and helpful, but she also seemed distracted and tired. I would recommend that the management consider adjusting their staff shifts so that, by the end of the day, whoever is working can muster a bit of convincing conviviality. It’d make a big difference to visitors. To conclude, the wine is tasty, and we bought some to enjoy in a leisurely atmosphere elsewhere.

Staff in the store were very friendly and helpful. Great tour with our guide Anastasia! Our 2 children 11&13 enjoyed the tour. Great story & history behind this vineyard. Bartender in the beer area had no personality and looked miserable.

Went here for a wine and beer tasting. For the winery was a flight of sweet or flight of dry, I tried a flight of sweet and my boyfriend tried the dry. All the wines were pretty good, my favorite was the semi-dry Reisling. We shared a beer flight on the deck which had a great view. Beer was not as sweet as the others in the area.

My wife and I stopped here during a long weekend on the Finger Lakes. We went to Wagner after visiting a winery and enjoyed having a brewery experience right on the lake. You can do a tasting inside or a flight of beers on the deck overlooking the vineyards and deck. Great experience and good beer. The triplebock costs a few bucks extra but is worth it. They also have a very delicious root beer pint for those that are driving the rest of us around. Great stop on the Senaca lake Wine trail. Highly recommend(there is also a restaurant with a deck, but it closed at 4pm and we did not get a chance to eat)

A rather large complex — winery and brewery on site in two different areas, each with separate prices to sample. Also a large store to buy whatever you just tried. I did not find the customer service representatives who worked there particularly friendly — probably a given with the large amount of people that pass through that place on a daily basis. If you want a good view of vineyards and the lake, go here.

Nice views and really friendly staff. Did the beer and wine tastings. Beer tasting was $ 3 for 6 tastings and most of them were all good! The wine tasting was $ 4 for 4 tastings, but they give you a $ 4 coupon if you buy more than $ 20 worth. The unoaked Chardonnay was our favorite!

*Pasta & Wine Weekend 2015 Review* One of my favorite pasta dishes in the trail! Their Tortellini Carbonara was made with their Wagner Reserve White. It was just a delishiz slice of pasta and white sauce heaven. If only I could ave this for take out every day :-( Wagner never disappoints as one of the few places on the trail to enjoy good reds and a variety of micro brews. For this visit we stuck to the trail event and just did the flight of dry wines. Amazing service with generous pours… ONGLASSES! Mark this stop as a MUST on your next tour. Something for everyone!

My husband and I headed to Wagner on a Tuesday afternoon and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was really nice and you can taste wine, beer, or both. The tasting fee is $ 4 but if you purchase wine, you get a coupon for the $ 4 off. We headed back to the tasting room and found Bill. I have to admit that the wine was good but I think that Bill made it really good. Every wine had a story and you could just tell he was really passionate about offering these wines for tastings. After tasting, we went to make our purchases and found that the wine was really inexpensive. Around $ 8 – 13 for the bottles was a lot cheaper than we had been seeing around the lake. They have a beautiful view out of the back of the tasting room and we will definitely come back during the summer.

This is cough syrup wine. They invented«Lake Country Red»…aka The Anytime Table Wine… with the screw off cap. Trouble is most of the other stuff they peddle isn’t much better(even what they call«dry»). Tour bus winery… lots of douchebags with palm tree shirts and their Syracuse poodle-doo floozies.

The best deal we came across! 7 wines(starting from dry to sweet) for only $ 4! Our consultant was very bubbly and knew her wines. There is an outside area, where you can sit and relax or just take in the view. The also offer beer tastings, which we did not try. There is a gift shop area, with other various items for sale. Pleasant atmosphere & there is a café onsite if you want to stop in for food.

Love this place — very spacious. The wines were great, the beer was good but the rootbeer that they make onsite was PHENOMENAL! Anna manned the bar/tasting area and is by far the perfect person to make your day complete. MUSTGO!

In the 1970’s and early 80’s, this was a nice little tour of their then — small facility. This in the days before the café, when there were only a handful of wineries, almost exclusively owned and operated by farmers, and very little tourism, nothing like the zoo today. Not just Wagner, not just the Finger Lakes/New York winemaking industry, but the entire Finger Lakes region was in a decades-long economic doldrums back then. Essentially still an agricultural area, the wineries that existed needed to make a living, at a time when FL wine wasn’t enough to do so, certainly, at least, not at the scale that exists today. Enter big city tourism from operators outside the region, busloads of tourists, the«fall colors» draw, the tee-hee get drunk wine tour draw… add money from outside the region for whom winemaking isn’t their family legacy it’s an investment… corporate farming… and you end up with what the region is today. Hundreds of wineries, all of them with directors of marketing, business development directors, strategic marketing plans, MBA graduate directors of operations, tourism associations, and non-farmer/absentee ownership for many of them. The tour is The Thing now, winemaking is just the draw that gets you to go there. It could be an antique car museum or soapmaking factory or the World’s Largest Ball of String. So if you aren’t expecting the California Wine Trail, recognize it’s not Napa(even that), accept Finger Lakes wine for what it’s always been, and let them earn a living… your visit should be acceptble.

We stopped here after passing by several times on our way up and on previous loops up and down the lakes in the days before. Since they offered both a winery and a brewery we decided to stop. We started with the beer. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful but the were just ok, not bad but nothing special. The craft brew scene up there seems to be years or even decades behind other parts of the country although it seems like there a quite a few breweries getting ready to open up. Then we moved on to the wine. It was a similar story, competent but not exceptional. the Niagara stood out but nothing else. Also they are somewhat stingy with the tasting. They did a pre-selected 6 wines or 4 of your own choosing. This really felt cheap compared to the other wineries in the region that generally offered at least 6 pours of your choice and many places would even give you additional pours if you asked. On the positive side it is a very large facility and quite a beautiful view. I can only imagine they do great business as an event space. But that made me think that Wagner is much more in the business of providing a wine/beer tasting experience and event space than in the business of making wine/beer. It kind of felt like a Disney version of the experience meaning that it replicated a lot of the concepts of the experience without the heart of it. It wasn’t a bad experience but given the other available options in the area I wouldn’t really recommend it.

I went to Wagner on 8÷13÷14 while vacating in the Finger Lakes with my boyfriend. We did a beer and wine tasting at Wagner. Overall good customer service and both the gentleman serving the beer and the women who served us wine were knowledgeable. The view at Wagner is spectacular. I can understand why they host events there. I thought a lot of what Wagner has created felt a little like a tourist trap compared to some of the other vineyards we visited in the area. In other words I felt like the brewery was an afterthought to draw people to visit.

Nice location, but most of the wines are mediocre at best. Unless you enjoy the sweet swill the many, many mediocre wineries in the region peddle, steer clear of this place. This is a tour bus winery.

We heard about this winery/brewery/restaurant. Nice facility, friendly staff. & pretty good service. Had the cheesesteak sub w/peppers onions etc. yum! Very good highly recommended! Wife had open faced turkey club sandwich. Wow, very good. A pitcher of the Amber Lager topped it all off. Big props to the chef!

None of us were ready for what AWESOMENESS this place had in store for us. We were already late on schedule on our Finger Lakes trip, and just made it in time before their 5 pm wine/beer tasting deadline. They had a wedding event going on, but still ushered us in for wine tasting. We got to taste a wonderful set of 7 wines for $ 4, from dry to moist(or tangy to sweet), introduced by a lovely bartender. Though beer tasting was done, 4 of us ordered two different beers each before they closed the bar at 530, for just $ 4 a piece. The ambience was simply mindblowing with the biergarten style desks, beautiful lawn, wineries stretching till the shimmering Seneca lake! Girls went for wine bottles, and we got pleasantly drunk in no time! We had a small picnic on the lawn in the shade of vines, laughing away like kids! Restrooms were a stone’s throw away for beer guzzlers. By that time, the wedding revelers had moved to the Café and didn’t find us irksome at all. Still, we did decide to move on after 2 hrs, lest we offend our hosts. A security guy there told us about the Smith Park nearby which had a swimming beach open till 8 pm! We raced to the Park and jumped in the water to our heart’s content. What a fun day!

$ 4 for wine tasting which could be used towards wine purchase. The shop had many inexpensive wines. Our tasting instructor was very friendly. Plenty free popcorn a with tasting. They have a huge deck which is awesome to hangout!
