Family favorite! We were shocked when the Champps in Schaumburg closed. We love sharing an order of the nachos and washing it down with a few beers. The menu has changed and looks delish but will have to go back to try it. If you are looking for a comfortable place to meet friends and catch up, this is a great option as the patio is nice & tables are big! Enjoy!

I ate at Champps last night, mainly because all of the other restaurants in the area had long wait lines. We were seated at a table that was sticky and had puddles of water on it. My Dad also got a dirty fork– these things happen. We asked our waiter to help us clean up the table and replace the fork and he met our requests with a lot of sarcasm. Our food took a long time to come out and the quality was pretty terrible. I ordered chicken tacos and there was one strip(about an ounce) per taco. The waiter also forgot the guacamole I had ordered which I had to remind him to grab. My sister had also ordered fries and was given chips instead. My mom’s tuna tacos were not fresh and she wasn’t able to eat her meal. Beyond the food and the service, the upkeep of the restaurant is getting pretty bad. Corporate rebranded and took away the American flag from the logo outside, but the holes and dirt from where the old sign was is still there. The dirty silverware, the sticky table, poor food quality, and lack of upkeep on the outside of the establishment are obvious signs of cutting corners.

Been here a couple of times, mostly for holiday work parties. The place is fairly large, and it’s more of an upscale sports bar than your typical suburban sports joint. There are plenty of TVs for viewing the game and are placed high up so nobody gets in your way. Menu is decent, pretty much your typical sports bar fare but there are some tasty salads and some other higher offerings. The few times I’ve dined there nothing really jumped out me as a must try, but the burgers and wings are decent. Beer list is fairly pedestrian, just your typical InBev offerings with some craft brew offerings thrown in. Service is pretty spot on, and I’ve never had any issues or long wait times. Nothing else really too memorable to say about this place. It’s your typical suburban sports bar chain, but slightly nicer.

Decent place. I come here when I’m in town for business. Close to Hyatt Place. I love the staff, attentive. I don’t care if it’s dead here sometimes, prefer it that way late at night to just decompress. Above avg beer selection. Tues and Thurs are best nights for beer specials.

So, there is a reason why this place is dead on a Thursday night during hockey playoffs… place sucks! NOATMOSPHERE! Better yet, spend 10 min at the bar top and all you here is the staff slamming the patrons and making fun of different tables forehead they order, how they dress or what they’d sing if they came to karaōke night.(Way to bring in, out of town guests… uhhh not!) So weird, as this place has a great selection of beers IMO, but over the last 10 years it just doesn’t get the traffic you’d expect. They totally miss the customer service mark. The manager came out once and asked how my meal was.(I was eating chips… so my MEAL(genius) was delicious. So was my appetizer lol. I guess when ur a restaurant and u miss the mark with the wait staff, the come by it honestly. The manager had all the best intentions, but whiffed on the delivery!

Not impressed at all and WILLNOT return. There was no greeter at the front door, nor any if the times I walked towards the entrance while dining. It’s very loud, especially during sports events, but that’s to be expected, it’s a sports bar(more than anything). When my food arrived, my vegetables were refrigerator cold… I had to send them back. My scoops of potatoes were luke warm… but the salmon was great! My guests chicken was grilled to a charcoal bit & tastes like it! We were only able to eat because I had to go to the greeters podium and retrieve our utensils. The service and food was so lackluster, I hated to pay the $ 75.00 tab as it was definitely not worth it. This place has no business being in such a nice area amongst the other restaurants.

Coming from a former server who used to work there: filthy. Don’t order sodas because the valves haven’t been cleaned in almost a decade. Don’t order anything with ice because they have super bad fruit fly problems and they use chemicals to kill the fruit flies and the chemicals, WITH the dead fruit flies, fall into the ice well! Seriously, health code means nothing here. Oh, and you also might not want to support a place whose general manager probably has about 50 complaints about him personally in the corporate office. Why is he not fired? Well probably because the entire company just does not care at all. He also says inappropriate things to the female servers. When we got new uniforms he told me my shirt wasn’t tight enough(I had asked for a small) and he promptly gave me an x-small instead. Not okay. Don’t get me started on the other ways he verbally abuses everyone… OH! And did I mention that every single restaurant Josh(the GM) has managed at has closed down since? He is the reason the Champps in Schaumburg closed! I wonder… is this a pattern I see??? Too bad Eric left. He was a great manager but he was brought into the restaurant to make changes and left when he realized nothing was going to change and it wasn’t worth it. Waiting for this place to crash and burn so they can build a nice seafood place or a steakhouse or something in its place!!! One star because location WOULD be good for a Devon’s or some other restaurant actually worth going to. And also because it doesn’t let you give zero stars.

What a shame. It is apparent that no one cares anymore, the restaurant is filthy, it smells as you walk in, there is obvious signs of lack of maintenance and the food is mediocre at best. I don’t see it lasting longer with out a MAJOR remodel and a change of Attitude by Managment. Considering you got other restaurant near by that are 100000% better. Skip it and go to Kona or Don Julio’s PF Chang. Don’t be surprise to see a McDonalds in its place like you see now in Schaumburg.

Back to Champps to watch the Hawks. Champps did a lot better than the Hawks tonight — they are losing 5 – 0. But the bartender Stephanie is winning! We tested her mixology skills tonight ordering drinks, shots, and food all night long. We ordered drinks to test her knowledge and she impressed all of us. Definitely coming back to watch the Hawks and watch Stephanie own this bar. Come in and ask for her. Aside from no real drink specials(meaning standing specials, every day it seems like it’s a surprise to the staff what’s on special) their food is back to their regular menu(they got rid of that Fox and Hound faux pas) so their food is on point(albeit a little more expensive, again no regular specials any more). Come back in for the old school Champps experience. They are making improvements on the regular. Go Hawks!

A great sports bar with all your typical food items and so much more. I’ve come here for lunch several times and have never been disappointed in the service or food.

Great place for grabbing late night drinks! Came in after midnight and received fast and friendly service! They’re open on most nights until 1am(Friday and Saturday they close at 2am). Great selection of craft and draft beers! Beers were cheap($ 5.50/bottle). I would definitely come back!

Yay stomach flu! My mom went to this fine establishment for a teacher’s appreciation night, ate some chicken fingers and was up all night with SEVERE stomach flu. Pretty much all of the other teachers who attended were out sick too. Shame on this restaurant for feeding their customers poisoned food. Makes me wonder what goes on in that kitchen. AVOID.

I love the happy hour specials here, but they end too soon. The patio is also very nice to sit at. The food is just standard American.

Horrible service. Our food sat on deck for 18 minutes under a heat lamp while the waiters chatted, when it was delivered it was ice cold. Had to be remade. Didn’t get a single water refill the entire meal, and had to ask multiple times for the check. Restaurant was near empty with plenty of waiters doing nothing. Overpriced for what you get. Also saw the waitress wipe her nose multiple times while delivering other people’s food.

Is it cooperate office or management that should take the blame for this establishment being what it is? Don’t all raise your hands at once. Came in and set at the bar at 11pm. Bartender told me they had $ 3 drafts(guess they finally raised it from $ 2 but still a great deal considering its local craft) Took almost 10 minutes before asking what I wanted the 2nd time.(2 bartenders, 1 waiter, 1 manger) Both bartenders were literally all over the place as I would think one would tackle one side, the other tackle the other side, but then notice the waiter wasn’t handling the tables outside the bar. As both bartenders had to walk to some of the individual tables. I ordered the mile high nachos and mozzarella sticks.(appetizers) 25min later my food was brought out to me COLD! I got the attention of the manger who had just walked behind the bar for the first time. She took my receipt and told me should would replace the items… left cold items in front of me. Mozzarella sticks came out first and replaced cold ones. Nachos can up about 4 min later. Only took 10 minutes this time for the items to come out to the table. Manger during this time started helping out bartenders pouring beer/hitting the cash register. Got the new bill and notice the extremely discounted bill. If I had to guess I want to say it was about 40⁄50 people already there when I got there. but most was just drinking.(heavy I might add)(usually with an establishment like this waiters should only be dealing with 5 tables. While I was sitting there at the bar about another 15 people came in all walking up to the bar getting their own drink as the bar was already full. I’m happy overall with how things were handled fast and prompt when I had a complaint. The manger took care of it with no questions asked and on top of that gave me a major comp to the point the food was almost free. As person that also works in the food industry I feel like I’m giving my two stars more for the corporation and general manger for not having enough people on hand and better training.(notice bartenders carrying 3 – 6 drinks spilling beer and not having a better table arrangement on which bartender/waiters deal with which guest. who would get the food etc) The manger only helped out at the bar for about 15min. She didn’t mention anything about the discount so was hoping she would pass by me again so I could thank her. When I got up to leave about 12:30 I notice she was seated behind me by the patio chatting it up with two police officers. Also, when I walk into an establishment I want to see the today’s special, something about what’s new on the menu. NOT your hiring for all positions. Seems like corporate has placed more concern about margins and less so about customers.

We showed up with a party of 26 after a baseball game– no reservation. I should have gotten the waitresses name but she did a really nice job. I heard no complaints about the food– I had a Cobb Salad and teh ingredients were fresh, with good salad dressing. I guess I could complain about the food taking a long time but I actually will upgrade for that since we were so many. I will give them a thumbs up for their ability to handle a crowd.

Way better than Buffalo Wild Wings they have $ 2 drafts on Tuesdays but my favorite Matilda is not included unfortunately. They also have darts and shuffle boards for free. They have have technoish music and karaōke which can be fun but annoying sometimes. Service and prices are what u except at a sports bar chain. They do have a loyalty membership which is cool as well. Unfortunately I was disappointed that they do nothing special for your birthday. They charged us full price for dessert just put a candle in it, which in my opinion proves my point not to go to champps to celebrate your birthday. Granted hope to comeback sometime for when baseball is on and patio is open.

The new Champps is a complete disaster. While we boycotted this place a little over a year ago, even then it was going downhill. The menu changed every few months, the specials were inconsistent, and you couldn’t come in here without having to worry about a random cover charge being thrown at you(sometimes in the middle of your meal!) for assorted pay-per-view sporting events. The real reason we kicked this place though, was because our favorite, long-time server was let go during the most recent company buyout. My husband and I always asked to be seated with him ever since the first time he waited on us about 8 years ago. He was kind, attentive, quick, and phenomenal with our kids. We were saddened to hear that he had not been kept on the team when the ownership of the company changed hands a while back. The reason? He did not fit the«new image» of the company. If the«new image» of your company does not include attentive, loyal, model employees, then your new clientele does not include me or my family. The worst part is that I suspect this server’s sexual orientation had something to do with his termination. If I boycotted chic-fil-a, I can sure as hell boycott this joke of an establishment. I can only hope that when this place inevitably goes out of business, they put something nice here. That outdoor patio really is going to waste…

Champps is back to Champps. Seems like around the country, they’re having an identity crisis. The menu is back to what it was about a year ago, and the atmosphere is a bit of a hybrid, with free foosball and pool and whatnot. It’s all perfectly fine. I do like the ahi tacos and the flatbreads. Service is usually pretty good. It doesn’t excite me, but I know my meal here will be good enough.

What the hell happened here?! The menu has completely changed, and it sucks. Also, the layout of the restaurant has drastically been altered, and not in a good way. Lots of tables were taken out to accommodate things like… a pool table… dart boards… foos ball games. Why would you take out seating when that’s what makes you money? Even the open kitchen has been closed off by a wall. Then there was the giant Jenga game sitting on the bar stool in the middle of the bar area. Who’s brilliant idea was this? The f-ing thing kept crashing down, pieces flying everywhere. In the middle of the bar. That can’t be dangerous with servers and people walking around, can it??? We were starving, and ordered boneless wings to start. They were over-processed pieces of crap… kinda like McDonald’s chicken McNuggets. Then we ordered the fish fry. The fish was greasy and soggy, and we had to ask for tartar sauce. So they brought a thimble sized container of tartar sauce for 2 people. The place looks dirty. The table we were sitting at felt sticky. We were close to the kitchen, so I could see servers going in and out of the door to the kitchen, and all I could see were a bunch of ceiling tiles that were hanging down. Repair your restaurant. Don’t be disgusting. I was afraid to see what the bathroom looked like, so I held it. I predict this place will not be in business a year from now. The changes that they’ve made seem out of desperation. Not desperation to improve the customer experience, but desperation to cut corners to save a buck fast. Will never, ever go back.
