Thank you for returning to this location! Between Von’s, Albertson’s and Foods Co. we have the whole grocery list covered! Love your store! Excellent variety of quality goods, well maintained and friendly staff! It’s nice to see the chamber of commerce didn’t screw this deal over. Every once in awhile we win one

Welcome back — brilliant business move to get a restructured store. The layout is somewhat different that the old store. It’s cleaner yet, still cluttered and more up to date. The produce section is aight done looks good but seriously we live in CA. and maybe it’s the drought maybe it’s the central coast but recently the produce we’ve seen not just at Albertson’s but Vons as well has been a bit subpar. at not low end prices. They seriously underestimated the amount of business they would get with their recent sales and twice at least sold out of deli fried chicken. They were out of the bottled water today. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come. It’s too bad they did not put the seating area closer to the the deli rather than the floral it’s an awkward layout unless they plan to bring in something later. It’s still a very cluttered store which was something nice about Haagen not so much clutter. Gone is Graeters Ice Cream. :( Still trying to determine how much natural and organic products they have but on initial looking it appears to be the minimal typical chain in that aspect if you want natural organic products you will need to travel elsewhere for real variety. The employees all seem very happy that it is back to Albertson’s. Honestly, they seem to have less product variety in store now than before I may be mistaken. No self check out when we were there. Not sure why maybe they had theft issues or technical issues which the quick check. It is beyond so spelled comprehension. Ooh I’m snarky tonight. Hey not much to get excited about since it’s a Von’s store by another name. It would have been so much nicer had this been competition. For the local stores like a Winco or Ralph’s or something. Now we can can shop at at either of the Von’s owned stores in town. We will see how it is in a month when things settle down. Happy shopping.

Welcome back Albertsons. Everyone is friendly and happy to be there. The selection is still very good, and the produce looks fresh. Maybe it’s because they’re still a little young, but I found it disappointing that the strawberries weren’t local to the county… they were labeled from L.A. The store is a little confused: they have a lot of Safeway brand food, but cleverly marked inconspicuously(maybe because of the merger?) There’s a café area, but hardly any prepared meals, nor is there a coffee stand. It’s truly disappointing that they did away with the self checkout section. That’s the Achilles heel of the Vons down the street. Old Albertsons had them(I can’t remember it Haggen had them) but this small convenience would be extremely nice. Perhaps they’ll come back in the future?

I needed balloons for an event and got a lot of them, the next morning they were all on the ground already so I had to go back so someone who actually knew how to blow them up do it correctly.

This is the WORST market I have ever been to. Their customer service is horrendous… the management is unimaginably rude… not to mention their lack of fresh food. We have, on multiple occasions, purchased food only to get home and find out it is spoiled. Today takes the cake. Bought a head of garlic. Opened it up at home, to find mold, rot and maggots. Live maggots. How long does a garlic have to be rotting to have maggots? As we walked back into the store the manager, with whom I have had words with before, just watched me walk by, and then I stood at the service desk for about 5 minutes. Not one employee, including the manager, payed any attention to me. Finally a girl came to help; she offered me a free garlic, to which I vehemently declined. She was nice enough, but had the nerve to say we have fresh produce. Obviously not you twit. I will NEVER walk into this store again. I pray it closes — or has a complete house cleaning… of food AND management.

I love the Albertsons in Lompoc. After shopping pretty much only at Von’s for the longest time. I was surprised at how much more I save when I shop here, I love the people who work there and the quality of the food… Meat and Produce is good and much cheaper, plus they have local foods. I even won the $ 100.00 gift card for completing the online survey. I would recommend this store !! Diane Lompoc, CA

My In-Laws and I were on a road trip with my 7 month old and stopped in Lompoc, while there my FIL stopped into this Albertsons to buy some Similac formula for my son(the ready-made bottles). After returning home to Los Angeles, I notice the expiration date on the bottles were Feb 12012… how is it legal that we were able to purchase these in APRIL?! I’m so glad I hadn’t given one to my son yet. I hope other parents who buy formula at this location check the expiration dates!

Years ago I did my weekly shopping here, including the food I would take to LA for the workweek. But no longer. They used to have a fantastic produce section but when the store was remodeled the produce section was reduced in favor of more high margin trinkets and junk. All of the bulk SLO decaf was gone as were several other common items . My last visit on July 4 was the final straw. Most of us in the store were there to get final dinner items and the lines were forming. Not a bad line until our checker ran into a problem with the price code on a $ 3 deli item. The line stopped for the next 10 minutes while she tried to get the correct price code. The customer was happy to pay anything reasonable, but he was on instructions from higher authorities to get the item. With about 6 people in line and approaching 15 minutes the checker then explained that she needed to get the manager to approve the over-ring. The manager finally arrived, eyed the line and offered no apology. If I worked for the organization we would have had a brief chat. When I suggested to the checker that she needed to bring this up at the next staff meeting she treated the comment with all of the respect due a wayward cockroach. She’s a union checker making double time on the 4’th of July . My comment that she might want to see what Walmart pay greeters since this store was likely to close with service like this and an approved Walmart expansion a few blocks away she explained that she suddenly noticed all of the customers in line. Although it is a longer drive the Vons becomes more attractive with each visit.

Oh what a sad little store. The deli was way understaffed when I stopped by. And the prices are pretty high. Now I remember why they were run out of San Antonio. Once I found Von’s down the street I never felt the need to go to Albertson’s again.

After pretty much avoiding this store for my first 6 months of living here, for no apparent reason, I finally went in and thought, «Hey, this place is pretty great!» There were some neat items tucked in the shelves I haven’t seen at other stores, and the store was fairly clean and attractive. And then that was that. I pretty much don’t go there very often. I think it’s a «locals» store with a very loyal customer base. These customers know where everything is(good for you!), and don’t mind that the one-person restrooms are in the industrial section in the back of the store. The store has a large and decent selection, but I don’t get the helpfulness from the floor-level employees like I do at Fresh & Easy and Von’s. There’s nothing uniquely appealing to draw me in more often.

Ah, Lompoc Albertson’s. Being right across from our cheap hotel and all of us having various needs, we visited you three times in 24 hours. You served us well: cookies and candy on sale for our snacks, cough drops and cold medicine for my flu, a gift bag for a wedding present. Sure, doing things like entering in codes for apples at self-checkout takes a bit long, but that was our choice, and it’s the price we pay for the amusement of swiping our own groceries(you can tell I’ve never worked retail). You’re not a very big store, but that’s ok, you had my basics, and your sale items with club card were very reasonable. Should I ever end up in Lompoc again, which, admittedly, is unlikely, I’ll at least give you a wave from the car. Good times.
