Very glad we stopped here today. The wines were very good, got to try Dornfelder for the first time, and the hospitality was even better than the wines. Also check out the jellies, proceeds go to the humane society! Definitely recommend this spot!

Wonderful wine and a wonderful couple as well. Wines are worth the stop and they also make their own jams and jellies and use proceeds(100%) for a local no kill animal shelter.

This is a small, boutique winery. It is not fancy. It is not pretentious. It is not the place where you will find tour buses of bachelorette parties. It is owned by an older couple, who make some fantastic wines. I enjoyed every wine that was poured. The Pinot’s were delicious. I would have bought a bottle of each. They were a bit different and yet delicious in their own way. I bought 2 bottles of the Dorfmunder. Not sure if I’m spelling it correctly, but wow, really delicious. I have not seen this anywhere else. We finished up with a dessert wine that was delicious. Truth be told, I do not really like dessert wine, but this one I like. Oh, I forgot to. mention the jellies that were available to try. One was a jalapeño bell pepper one. I know what you are thinking. Stop it. This was delicious. We bought a jar of this one and also a Dorfmunder wine jelly. Why not? If you like small, interesting wineries off of the beaten path, this is the place for you. Actually, I may just delete this review and keep this place to myself. Disregard everything that I said above.

Love this winery! The owners are hospitable and the wines are fantastic. Their dessert wine and the Dornfelder are excellent. I keep coming back for more. The dessert wine makes the best gift!

Huber Cellars is not for everyone. It’s run by an old couple who pour wine out of their house. It’s not fancy, it’s not stylish. It belongs somewhere in Solvang. The wines are named after their dogs and their children– production is small so the bottles aren’t cheap. But the wine is unique and highly rated. It’s just very country here, no frills and no limos showing up with bus loads of people.

Such an amazing couple and story! Part of their home is dedicated to wine tasting and their PINOTS were delicious! It’s at their home and they have some of the most sought after land. Their dog was beautiful too!

Sheesh the 1-star review was uptight and waaay harsh. Tara C., my advice to you — drink more wine. IMO, this is a nice winery with a quaint tasting space and the owner, Traudl, served snacks such as guac and chips, sausage, cheese & crackers, chocolates and jam/jelly with crackers. I loved the 2008 steel barrel Chardonnay, and the dessert wine Hafen And, they have the sweetest greeter«Heidi» a merle Australian shepherd. Relax, drink wine, eat snacks. Enjoy.

What a gem! Don’t let the outside of the house fool you .It’s not impressive but when you walk into the winery tasting area, you will be so amazed at how wonderful and magical the owners are .You will have an awesome experience and learn all about the history of the area and the wonderful people that make it up don’t miss out on this one. The wines are superior. The Hubers are the sweetest couple I have ever met

This is at someone’s house and I would be embarrassed to have guests over in the condition it was in. Dirty and unkept, the yard was a mess. First of all, when we pulled up we were greeted by a port a potty, not pretty, and those are the facilities for guests to use. Next, their dogs had to be put away because some of the guests were scared of them, so they barked from the back room the whole time we were there. That part is not what matters… they poured the SMALLEST pour I have ever seen in my life. There was no way you could get an idea of the wine because there was not enough! Besides, their wine is so expensive that we wouldn’t have purchased a bottle because we couldn’t tell if we liked it since the pour was so small. This place was a complete disappointment! With so many other choices in this region, don’t waste your time at this dump!

Such a gem! Huber Cellars is the perfect destination for a weekend wine tasting adventure. The tasting room is located in Santa Rita hills on the gorgeous Huber estate. Norman and Traudl Huber are such a charming couple that own the winery and often serve delicious sausages and jams to accompany their wines. They pour chardonnay, pinot noir, dornfelder, and hafen. The barrel select pinot and the charlotte’s reserve dornfelder are my favorite.
