Taco Roco

We were the only people in the restaurant so I thought they would be pretty quick. This was incorrect. The chips weren’t very good, kind of cold and tasteless. I ordered a cheese enchilada and carnitas taco. When it arrived the cheese enchilada was «warm» not hot and the cheese wasn’t even melted inside. The taco was bland and tasted like the carnitas was boiled. The carnitas was super fatty and I actually spit out my first bite because it was all fat. The beans and rice were ok but I have to say the best part of the meal was the soda… I left still hungry and smelling of grease.

I love this place they deliver and I go there during lunch time, and we make it back on time!!! Awesome people!

Food was horrible, service was ok. They burnt my taco shells and the chicken. Only thing that was good was the unlimited chips and salsa

I just had lunch here a few days ago with my mom and my aunt. You walk in and order and then grab a seat. They had all you can eat chips and salsa but the chips were cold… the salsa was really good though. I ordered a bean, cheese, and rice burrito which was alright. I believe my mom ordered some cheese enchiladas and something else and she said they were alright, nothing special. The only downside was they forgot about my aunts order. She sat there for like 10 minutes waiting until we finally asked the waitress. She apologized and brought her plate out about 5 minutes later. She even offered a piece of cheesecake for the inconvenience and then she forgot the cheesecake… If you want some GOOD mexican food I highly recommend Café San Martin but overall this place is okay.

The best Tacos EVER! Every single thing on the menu is AMAZEBALLS! The green salsa is top notch and the Habanero salsa is fire! Asada Fries, Chile Rellenos, Bacon wrapped Jalapeños…Wait, this isn’t Florianos?! I’m going across the street!

Girl taking our order by phone for delivery could not understand me because of loud yelling and singing in background. Had to repeat most things three times. She even called back to confirm the address she could not understand. Order promised for delivery in 20 – 25 minutes. After an hour, I called and was told it was on the way. Two minutes later I get a call from driver in my driveway who says she has been in my driveway for 5 minutes and unable to get in my gate. Why she did not call sooner I don’t know. Side note… the gate is kept locked but is 3 feet tall. All she had to do was reach over and open it from the inside. I was kind of frustrated, so did not notice until she left that she did not deliver my drink. Called back and told she would come right back with it. An hour later still no drink. Called back and was offered a store credit for the drink, but no credit card credit. I declined since I did not plan to order from them again. Manager offered to refund all money, but I told her I only wanted the drink or refund for it only as food was otherwise OK. By this time, it was just the principle. About 25 minutes later driver returned with full refund, the drink and a free order of churros which was nice.
My previous order with them about 6 months ago resulted in a double credit card charge which took me a full week and three visits to the store to straighten out. So sadly, I will probably order from someone else in the future even if I have to pick it up.

Twice this week we drive over the hill to Lompoc to our favorite Thai restaurant which was closed, again. Starving and vegan in Lompoc & 4:30 pm, is a challenge. Popped into Roco Tacos, thinking we could grab a bean burrito and be done with it. But, three perfect crispy potato tacos, a «healthy veggie burrito» and a sope loaded with fresh vegetables and tasty guacamole later, PLUS the adorable and helpful server, we already know we will be back. Reasonable prices, salsa bar and lots of good beer, this place was a find!!! Olé!!!

The women who took out order key messing up. Menu online isn’t the same as what they actually carry. The lady didn’t know how to take a credit card over the phone. It took almost 10 mins to order 2 things because she wasn’t listing.
They forgot our drink and the nachos I ordered had stuff I did not ask for on them. Both me and the bf got sick. Despite reviews we thought we would give it a shot. Will not waste our money here again for over priced food that isn’t good.

Good tacos, but a little pricey for tacos. Seems like other items aren’t too bad. Nice and clean place. Services was great.

Absolute worst food ever! Cold food. Beef taco barely had any meat in it and tha5 was cold and mushy didnt look like shredded Beef at all. Nevet again. This place sucks!

What a JOKE only gave 1 star because it wouldn’t let me leave it blank worst food I ever ate.

Best service we have had in a long time, we went in with only 30 min left to closing and were treated like royalty. Food was just what we expected from a authentic Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa were excellent and they have 805 on tap. Try it, I think you’ll like it!

I went in for a take out order, while ordering I told the cashier I was allergic to tomatoes, and please make sure there was none on my food. When I got home I opened my food and there were tomatoes every where. I also asked for no sour cream, no pico de gailo, and guacamole, my carne asada fries were covered in it all. My burrito also had pico de gailo in it. I called and complained and they were nice and brought me new food which was now covered in sour cream. I looked at my receipt and they charged me for extra tomatoes, pico de gailo and sour cream.

There are much better Mexican Restaurants in town. The only time I’ve been here is for the 99 cent tacos on Tuesdays. They were worth the price. You have the option of adding a «salad bar» trip for $ 1.99 when you order 3 of the 99 cent tacos. Don’t waste your money. Poorest excuse for a «salad bar» I have ever seen. You do get to grab your own chips and salsa which is cool, I guess.

Horrrible food. I ordered the chicken sopas and theu were dry and blan. the chicken was so dry and was probably left out. So disgusting. And the sopas meal didnt even include a drink or the rice and beans. Never come back here again!

We pass thru on r way home and want to let people know it’s a good place has great food! Authentic, don’t be discouraged by bad posts or Mexicants cuz I’m a MexiCAN!

There isn’t a shortage on Mexican restaurants in Lompoc, so I would expect that there were businesses in serious competition. This one isn’t. It might be a local favorite; I’m not sure. I just personally don’t care for it. I found it overpriced for the quality. ALL of the meats are marinated in beer. I bought one of each taco – steak, chicken, pork. The meat was overpowering with beer, quite bland, and tough. The tortilla was terrible. The tortilla chips with salsa would have been better from the store. The Giant Burrito my husband got was terrible. It was also soaked in beer. Just a real disappointment for the price.

Don’t GO… I got the worst food poisoning and when people asked about where I got it, EVERYONE said, «Oh, that’s the worst place» and many more stories of food poisoning.
STAY AWAY!!!

I was in the area for a business trip and this was across the street from the Embassy Suites. I went a little overboard and ordered three tacos, nachos, and either a chile rellano or enchilada to go. They give you a huge serving of nachos! The food is pretty good and surprisingly, I finished everything and was pretty stuffed.
They had a live musician playing near the door when I was there. He eventually got up and walked around with his guitar. I will come back if I’m ever in the area again.
