They USED to be better. Food is okay and delivery takes forever. Horrible service. Not worth the wait to be honest. Might as well cook my own dinner with the amount of time i need to wait.

I have never experienced Service this horrible. The guy who took the order was rude and when delivery took 2 hrs(we live down the block) I asked why they didn’t say anything and he said it’s busy and laughed and started arguing with me. I’ll never order from here again and neither should u food is sub par– not worth the nasty attitude

Easy location. Simple and delicious — never disappoints! I love their vegetarian quesadillas. My favorite one is the Santa Maria. Burritos are amazing too.

About the most Americanized Mexican food you’re going to get before entering the realm of fast food. Crusty and cold FLOUR tortillas for the tacos, dry meat, and cheese that looks and tastes like it’s straight out of the Kraft bag, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re a taco snob(like myself). I will tell you this: An order of two tacos comes with a nice side of tasty rice and beans, and it’s VERY reasonably priced, and if you’ve been at the beach all day and you’re ravenous and desperate for a quick Mexican fix(like myself), by all means. It hits the spot. Cool seating with a wonderful breeze on a hot day.

good place for delivery — salads are fresh and delivery is relatively fast.

Won’t deliver INTHEIRZONEINLIDO to the Townehouses because it’s gated. They said they don’t want to wait for the gate to open when the guard is there. Have you ever heard such a thing? I’ve gotten deliveries from them before here and they stated that they will no longer deliver here because we have a guard gate that takes all of 4 seconds to open if we call ahead to let them in…

i love this place! this is my go to place for takeout. I must order ay caramba like 2x/week. Im very regular and normally order a chicken and black bean quesadilla and order of tostones with extra garlic mojo sauce(BTW my fAVORITE sauce!!!). when i change it up i go for the gorditas rancheras with a pineapple mexican soda. You really cant go wrong and the prices are cheap!!! The only downside is delivery normally takes 45 – 60 minutes but if you order 30 minutes before closing or an hour before closing they are like 15 – 20 minutes tops! I have nothing bad to say about ay caramba except they should have my credit card on file

I’ve been going to Aye Carumba for 3 years now. I’ve learned what to eat and what to stay away from. Some of it is great and other stuff HORRIBLE. I ordered tonight for pick-up. I ordered a Triple Cheese Quesadilla, Shrimp&Avocado Quesadilla, and Grande Nachos. I picked up the order, got home, and noticed my order was completely wrong. I got a Chicken Quesadilla, Shrimp&Avocado Quesadilla, and Muy Grande Nachos. Now as a customer that doesn’t eat meat(hence why I ordered a CHEESEQUESADILLAANDCHEESENACHOS), you can imagine I was pretty upset that I received chicken and beef instead of what I had ordered. I called Aye Carumba. I actually thought this was a mix up and an honest mistake. After speaking with 2 different people on the phone and an extended period of time later — they yelled at me that I got what I ordered and that’s that. Chicken and Triple Cheese sound absolutely NOTHINGALIKE. Maybe the person who took my order is slow and incompetent, but the least they could have done would be to refund my money or deliver the right food. I would have been a satisfied customer if they had fixed their mistake. Pointing the blame at me is ridiculous and childish. I wound up hanging up on them because I was so frustrated with their lack customer service and plain stubbornness. I will NEVEREVER be eating here again. Cancun and The Cabana are just as close. From, A pissed off and LOUDMOUTHED customer who will be spreading the word

I frequently order the Wild Texan Burrito with chicken. It’s so good!!! I also like that instead of getting one big messy burrito you get two smaller ones(that are still pretty big). Prices are good. Food is great. I tend to take out. I don’t like to eat in because it’s very small inside and gets cold easily when people walk in and out of the door. The chips have like a Dorito seasoning on them which I don’t like. It’s not the greatest flavor when you’re mixing it with guac or salsa.

The staff is really friendly and the food never takes long if you are picking up. I haven’t tried delivery yet because I live a few miles away. The food never takes longer than 15 minutes to be picked up. I’ve had their nachos, tacos(hard and soft), and quesadillas and I would get them again. The burritos are also delicious. There’s a small area outdoors(2 tables) and about 6 – 10 small tables indoors to eat if you want to dine in. You get a good amount of food for the money you pay.

The food here is amazing — anything you get is delicious. This is what keeps everyone coming back to this spot. The price and the deliciousness of the food. I love the crab and avocado wrap(without the wrap, over a salad) and the cilantro sauce that comes with it. The chicken fingers and tostones with garlic mojo are also amazing. The problem: delivery isn’t accurate or fast at all(always an hour wait and no delivery before 5), but in the restaurant the wait is about 10 – 15 for them to prepare food. The phone service is also very rude,. The storefront is very small. I recommend picking up your own take out and enjoying.

Quick & reasonably priced. Small store front but has outdoor seating in the spring/summer. My favorites are the quesadillas & the guacamole/salsa & chips.

I’m being generous and giving 2 stars because I’ve heard the burritos are good… And I have yet to try one. The chicken quesadilla and nachos I had were pretty uneventful though. I could do better in my own kitchen

Their food is delicious… it absolutely is better when you eat there sometimes the delivery takes too long. Me and my husband love the burritos and the calypso salad is amazing… love that they have separate vegetarian options!

Don’t bother with this place– Food isn’t good, service stinks. I got a wrap that fell apart and was mushy inside. It was so bad I refuse to relive the experience any further in this venue.

If the girl that answered the phone didn’t have such a ‘tude I would have given them 5 stars. Burritos — effn huge. My friend and I were STARVING after playing on the beach all day. What did we get? Wet burritos.(snicker). they were the length of my forearm and stuffed with all sorts of vegetarian goodness, including a boat load of guac. You could probably put guac on a shoe and I’d like it, but thats neither here nor there. The burrito was so big I only ate half and saved the rest for breakie. Yum, kickin off the day mexican style. we also split the santa maria quesadilla, and it was off the friggin hook — there was some green sauce that went along with it — and I wanted to drink it, but I was sharing, so I suppose that wouldve been inappropriate. note: they don’t deliver before five. when you’re starving, that seems like a life time, and if you’re a lazy bastard, like myself, you’ll drive the mile to get there instead of walk.

I stopped going to Ay Caramba several years ago because the food is really subpar — tasteless, not fresh, and so far from authentic Mexican Food that you might do better at Taco Bell. But last night I had a craving for sweet plantains(platanos or maduros as my family would call them). I’m not at liberty to ignore cravings right now… Anyhow, I go in for 2 orders of plantains and refried beans. Typical stuff you’d get quick and easy anywhere else. They say 10 minutes… no problem. I walk around Long Beach for a few minutes and come back. I go up to the counter to see if my order is ready and the women says«I have to take their order first.» So I let the couple who came in behind me order and patiently wait. But when their done ordering she makes no indication that my order is ready so I sit down and wait. While I’m waiting I watch a whole scenario play out with a table of 6 across from me. Each of them has received their food and it’s cold. One girl is coughing all over her food as she complains about it being cold. Her mother alerts one of the staff that the food is cold and he hesitates to do anything about it! Finally he takes their plates and we watch him shove them in the microwave! After someone just coughed all over it? He hands their plates back and I stare at him in disgust. I think, «I need to get out of here fast before my plantains end up in that microwave!» Back up to the counter I go to ask if my plantains are ready. It’s been almost 20 minutes now and she says, «There’s 20 orders ahead of yours» I say, «but it’s just plantains and refried beans.» «Sorry, but we’re really busy» «But it’s just plantains and refried beans» I repeat. Mind you, there are all of 6 tables in the tiny joint and while those orders may be deliveries, wouldn’t you want to take care of the customer standing right in front of you first? I sit down defeated and think about waiting for the 20 orders ahead of me to be done, but I’m sure that would put me at a 40 minute wait. For plantains and refried beans? Ay Caramba, it’s really no wonder your bar and grill closed down after a few months. While this spot has lasted several years, I can’t imagine they get a lot of repeat business.

Chocolate banana milkshake. That is all. Okay, a bit more… Nice place with friendly people willing to answer your questions with a genuine smile even as they hurriedly try to fix the broken deep fryer in the back kitchen.(And now I know what a horchata is… well, besides a song by Vampire Weekend, of course…) Honestly, next time I pop down to Long Beach, I intend to try their menu. Looked tasty for a little take-out place, with reasonable prices to boot! And, one more time… Chocolate banana milkshake. *drool*
