Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria

I haven’t had pizza from this place that often, only because I just don’t eat that much pizza, but the handful of times I did, I am reminded of how I need to eat more pizza! Not just any pizza, but THIS pizza! It’s just fresh and delicious and I want a slice right now as I write about it! I also like that it’s a small business, and it’s tying it’s best to provide their customers a delicious product. If you haven’t tried it, do it and thank me later.

Buono’s pizza is delicious! I love the sausage they use on their pizza. Last night I ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza, it hit the spot! Best pizza in Long Beach!

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. The pizzas and pastas are good, but customer service is horrible here.
I just called 5 minutes ago and I asked if they had any specials, the guy was not in the mood to help assist and look up their own specials because he «didn’t even know them and I had to look online for whatever is there.»
Two things:
1) You’ve gotta hate your job if you’re gonna run a business, and not put in the effort to make money. How do you expect to get compensated and paid well when you aren’t even showing any interest in my money by being lazy and not wanting to assist.
2) You’ve just lost a loyal customer for years. I haven’t came across a problem until now. You guys can thank the one who is answering your phone right now with the bad attitude and poor customer service.
I still say 2 stars because I actually enjoy the food.

Maria and Tania were excellent waitresses. Very attentive and kind… however, The dine– in experience could improve (chefs take way too long) but take-​out is very quick. Im giving it a 4 star because of the waitresses made the best of it.

We have eaten in, picked up, and ordered delivery from this location. We live less than half a mile away. Tonight’s delivery took over an hour and I was pretty disappointed in the food. The online price and the price the delivery man brought me were different as well. For 30 bucks for some pasta I kind of expected it to be better sizes and quality.

My wife and I come here when I need to get my pizza and pasta fix, you can actually taste the authenticity of Italian food, there lunch buffet is the best time to go cause it is really worth the price. Although it’s no hometown buffet for selection it sure is worth it for the taste and the the hidden location by my neighborhood. I give it 4 stars cause it will be very difficult for me to give out 5 stars, I will only give out 5 stars if I ate a food and it makes me scream for mama!

Talk about great service!!! We spent sometime in LONG BEACH and couldn’t wait to have lunch. Unfortunately they weren’t open until 11am it was about 930am, we decided to park and wait. A gentleman came outside to let us know they didn’t open til 11 and as we explained that we were from Las Vegas, we were willing to wait til they opened. He offered to let us in @10am… So grateful and appreciative of their excellent service. We were greeted at the door and got to place our order to go. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli BEST EVER!!! Minestrone soup just as yummy!!! Can’t wait to come back and enjoy a gourmet pizza!!! So if you are in the neighborhood and want some authentic Italian food BOUNO’S is the place to be!!!

This review is based on the pizza alone. I have not dinned or picked up at this place before. We have had them deliver to our work place for lunches many times. Their pizzas are well made and have a pretty good selection of toppings. I like the crust its soft with a little tiny crunch to it but tasty of course I’m very simple so pepperoni and cheese are good enough for me and I like theirs very tasty they cheese all doesn’t slide off on the first bite like some other pizzas. Over all I recommend their pizzas.

My first experience eating here was wonderful. The pizza and especially the spaghetti was delicious. I could really distinguish everything was made purely fresh and not artificially can made. Anyway I was quite impressed to say it was one of the best italian restaurants I have ever been to. Too many restaurants that I have gone to were a disappointment and I would highly recommend individuals to try dining here. Moreover, customer service was very good and i enjoyed their salad bar :)

Had a craving for good pizza. Came here and got smiles and alot of help. I had a few questions and they were answered. The staff was friendly and some was cleaning. So they take care of the place. I want to come back and dine in.

Finally got around to trying Buono’s which is pretty much walking distance from where we live. It was really good. Our waitress Maria was really nice and attentive. They brought us some bruschetta as well as we waited for our meal. My wife had the spaghetti and I had the Chicken Parm with pink sauce. The chicken was really flavorful and crunchy. No doubt we will be back.

So I came here today to have a nice Valentine’s Day dinner with my family. Everything was going good. The food is always fresh and good. If you like garlic get the garlic fries. The mozzarella sticks are cheesy. And the fettuccine Alfredo always get shrimp & chicken. Well as we were leaving my hubby dropped my shrimp Alfredo on the floor and I was beyond pissed. The manager had them make me another for free. I love this place.

Man, I’ve never written a Unilocal review but after going to this place dropping 15 $ for a single serving of fettuccine and waiting half an hour, I just wanted to tell them fuck you too. I walked in and they acted like they’d never seen an African American before, then after I waited 30 minutes, got my food, I asked the lady at the counter would it be better to call in? She replied your food was there I don’t know what happened. No apology or anything. Maybe if you’re white or Hispanic they’ll appreciate you as a customer but I’ll never go back. I’ll do another separate review for their overpriced food, ugh !

This place was delicious! I had a craving for pizza and boy did their food hit the tummy good. My honey and I ordered meatballs, bread sticks and a personal pizza to share. The meatballs were huge and full of flavor. The bread sticks were hot and melt in your mouth. I usually don’t even like bread sticks because they can be too hard and I’m scared I’ll brake a bracket (BRACE FACE) but the bread sticks were soft and easy to tear. :)
The pizza was perfectly cooked and they aren’t greedy with their toppings.
I live about an hour away so I wouldn’t drive to come eat here but if I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely stop by.

This place has been adding inches to my backside for almost a decade and I have to give some LOVE to Buono’s for that! This is not for you deep dish or your thin crust types. This is the perfect balance of regular old school pizza, hand tossed dough with fresh plentiful toppings. This is actually my favorite kind of crust, the kind with large crusty air bubble pockets that crunch followed by chewy soft fluffy dough. I usually eat to the point of physical pain and belly aching at this place on the regular. I try to hit the ‘small one trip salad bar’ to clear my conscience but I really do it to get ranch or Italian dressing to dip my pizza in. Because you know what makes fat taste even better? Fat. Fat on fat that’s my motto! The service is friendly but relaxed, it’s kinda more serve yourself. I recommend eating in, hot bubbly pizza is always best that way. Sometimes I actually call ahead to place an order to eat IN to save time. Or I recommend just ordering at the front and paying then seating yourself. They do have an AYCE buffet during the week but I prefer the fresh out of the oven pepperoni with olive. I’ve admittedly never tried the pasta, but I’ve seen it and it looks standard so I don’t bother wasting valuable gastric space here. Although maybe I should try something new, a special thank you to the DUCHESS who turned me on to the awesomeness of the Fried Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara. These are hands down the BEST I’ve ever had! Buono’s is definitely top two of my favorite pizza places, if you haven’t tried it you should!

I’ve come here now a few times and have had their pizza every time. It’s pretty good. It’s better than most pizza in the area, but like so many, it didn’t really knock my socks off. The meats definitely have some flavor, which is why they get the 4^th star in my book. So many places now have meats that just do not have any flavor. The pizza had just the right about of balance in the ingredients, not too much or too little sauce and as always I order with a little extra cheese. They have good lunch specials if you’re looking to have lunch near there. All in all, it’s a good pizza.

My kid had a hankering for some Italian, we were in the area so I suggested Buonos for lunch. Things had definitely changed since the last time I visited a few years ago.
Service was «interesting» to say the least. We had to order and pay at the counter, then we could sit and choose wherever we wanted. I already knew that we had to serve our own drinks from the soda machine… No surprise there. What annoyed me, was the fact that besides bringing our food out… we were never checked on afterwards.
We love their Fettuccini, no complaints. But I wanted to try something different. I ordered the Cannelloni because the description said it had spinach, Sooo disappointed! No Spinach whatsover, just meat stuffed pasta. I should have stuck to the Fettuccini.
After finishing our meal, we waited awhile and finally just went up to the counter and asked for to go containers. Smdh. It wasn’t even crowded. Two other tables, so I know that they can’t blame the neglectful service on it being a busy day. Maybe the fact that we already paid, they felt they didn’t need to do anything else for us!!!

On the recommendation of my neighbors’ we decided to order from Buono’s. Best decision EVER!!! We’ve since recommended to other friends and all have been very pleased.
We’ve never been into their location, opting for home delivery.

This place has the best pizza around, great crust and their ingredients are the finest. My fav is pepperoni and Canadian bacon. They have a very good salad bar. Their pasta dishes are great, good portions and inexpensive.
Spaghetti with great meat sauce is less than $ 9!
We drive a half hour, sometimes fighting traffic, just to eat here.
If you live nearby and haven’t tried it, you should.
They do delivery, so if you’re in their delivery area, there’s no reason to call Domino’s or other national pizza chains unless you like mediocre to crummy pizza.

We’ve been searching for decent pizza in Long Beach since we moved here a couple of months ago… just when we started to lose hope we were referred to Buono’s. Thank the heavens above!
Really good! The pizza has that nice salty taste that makes pizza standout. The crust is good, too. And, my toddler loves it. And she doesn’t even like any food!
Reheated a slice for lunch and it tastes just as good the next day.
The salad I made myself at the salad bar — it was 6 – 7 dollars, though… kinda steep for a medium sized salad. That would be my only complaint. AND they ran out of bleu cheese. But oh well. The pizza was delightful.
We had some coupons so we got a medium pizza, large salad, and liter of soda all for $ 19 — not bad!
We will definitely be going back — our new go-​to pizza place!
