We’ve been enjoying the fabulous cakes at Creative Cakery for years now. Last weekend we stopped in to get some cakes for a special occasion and Laurie totally made our evening! She was fun, engaging and very complimentary. Excellent customer service and a great product — yes!

Purchased 2 small cakes today! As a surprise after dinner treat served and was shocked BOTH tasted old & dry. I am assuming only custom made cakes are fresh. Very disappointed!!!
We will NOT purchase again and tossing the rest of the cakes in trash can! Unable to eat and embarrassed served. Just plain awful!!! Greedy when the cakes are old discard don’t sell to customers! WASTE $$$

So delicious! Such amazing service from the nicest people! Highly recommended! Especially the Poppyseed flavor, which is basically Cherry Almond flavor… SO GOOD

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed them before. I’ve been getting cakes here for maybe 15 years (from when they were in old location on Redondo), and they are just always delicious! My fave is carrot but the chocolatey chocolate is great too. And some people swear by their lemon. The decorations are amazing; they can come up with something cute for any occasion! BTW the cakes ship very well too. We have sent them to our customers for many years.

Our company, G.S. Levine Insurance Services in San Diego ordered cakes… many, many cakes for our clients for Holiday presents for over 15 years. The company has been sold, but we continue to send cakes for G. Levine to his current clients. We always send chocolatey chocolate chip… the cakes are fantastic… Laurie and the bakery elves are so organized. One year, we spent over $ 15,000 sending cakes. The clients love them!!! I got a red velvet bundt cake for my daughter’s Halloween party at school. the lady’s were very nice and attentive at the bakery letting my greedy daughter sample the different flavors of cake. I didn’t get a chance to try the cake but it looked scrumptious. everyone was so helpful in the bakery. I love little gems such as these

I had the leopard heel and bag bday cake made for my mom and it was ready at the time i asked to pick it up
They’re SUPER SUPER FRIENDLY ! The bakery is clean, cute, very welcoming
The cake was so delicious (french vanilla) Literally every bite my mom took she would keep repeating how good it was and how you good taste the quality of it and again super cute decorations

Not only do they have the best cakes, This place has mastered customer service! Every time I purchase a cake from here, they treat me like a VIP.
Each cake is a piece of art. The employees put their heart and soul into each cake to portray superb presentation.

This hidden gem is located in the shopping center adjacent to Trader Joe’s. You blink and you’ll miss it! They have a very nice variety of sweets, and the nice thing about their sweets is that they’re not TERRIBLY SWEET! I personally love the Red Velvet cake and the vanilla cake. They are also very generous with their samples. They will let you sample almost every flavor they have, so when you go by, don’t be shy to sample away. Their cakes are decorated by hand and custom made for your event, so order in advance is required. Either that or just buy a personal size or a slice of any favorites. My son and I love this place!

Natalie, was so sweet and helpful making sure I was going to be happy in what I decided for my decorations. I love ordering these cakes for special themes ! Great Conversation statement !! I love the decorating options… And the cakes taste delicious…

I have to say this has been one of the best experiences all around I’ve received in a very long time. First of all they had delicious samples ready to try. Then upon entering we were greeted by a very sweet kind hearted lady, found out later she was the owner:) that was a sweet surprise. You can tell the company not only produces a great product but really cares about their customers experience. I was really excited to check out the store as I’ve ordered a cake online for my mom, but never been inside. Well I’m glad I stopped by and will continue to come back!

My experience this evening was so amazing!!! I walked in after my long day of work to get one of their to die for chocolate chip cakes, and I ended up getting a slice of carrot cake too. These are the best cakes in the world, and the ladies there are angels. Thank you for being so kind. I will see you again…

FINALLY! I have searched for this place for TWO years and finally found it! When we first moved here my husband bought me the most delicious dairy free lemon bar and carrot cake from «some little bakery off PCH.“After asking him where it was and the name he says it’s off PCH. (!!!)
Now I realize there’s Unilocal,google and everything but when you have nothing to go off of, it’s kinda like a wild goose chase! In any event I decided today would be the day I would find this place even if I had to walk along the whole plaza! My search proved fruitful as we walked in and told the whole story to the wonderful lady at the counter. She is the nicest ever, and even found the crust side of the lemon bar for me (my favorite!) She was extremely helpful and more than generous in my treasure hunt! And now the devouring can commence after my loooooong wait! Thank you again! I’ll be backkkkkkk!

This place deserves nothing but five stars! Besides the delicious tasting cakes, the personalized decorations with and the BEST customer service. Lauren was so sweet to a little girl I mentor, she gave both of us birthday hugs!
The vanilla bean flavor is extraordinary and we also bought the chocolate, red velvet and lemon– all fantastic!

A lemon bundt cake from Creative Cakery was all my mom wanted for her birthday. She was very specific. I made a call to the store to put in an order. The lady that answered was super friendly and walked me through the cake ordering process. She asked not only what date I needed the cake & what time I was picking it up but also how soon after pick up the cake would be consumed. That way they know if they need to take the cake out of the freezer and start defrosting it before you pick up. I was picking up three hours before the party which was more than enough time for the cake to defrost.
When I went to pick up the cake I got a free sample as they grabbed my cake. I got to see how amazing it looked. They had added a bunch of purple ribbon to the top, a card with a personalized Happy bday message and a candle (on the side of the box were some matches which I thought was a nice touch!). The lemon cake was absolutely delicious; everyone at the party LOVED the cake.
I think my next bday cake may be coming from here too. ;)
Oh, they also sell other things other than just bundt cakes. They had cookies, bars and several items for those with different food allergies. Check in on Unilocal and get a discount on a specific item. They are located on the side of the shopping center with the Trader Joes. Parking can be hard to come by on the weekend.

I’m not a big cake fan, because I’m really picky. Ten years ago on my birthday my gf at the time got me a cake from creative cakery. This is now the only cake I will allow on my birthday. They are super moist, delicious, cute, and quite honestly, the best cakes ever. When any of my family members are in town on their birthday, I get a cake from here. My one request for valentine’s day is their brownie plate. Their pumpkin pie bar is divine. I could live here!
Not only is the cajery the best I’ve ever had, but the staff is anazing. The owner is sweet, kind, humble and gracious. She is always so uplifting and grateful to her customers.

What a stellar service they provide here. Customer service here is truly amazing and I have yet to find a service as fantastic as Creative Cakery! I came here looking for a cake that had to have certain ingredients omitted due to food allergies and after a few minutes of brainstorming, we found the perfect bundt cake with dairy free frosting! I sampled a few flavors and they were very tasty and moist; I was very pleased as these bundt cakes were made without certain ingredients and you can’t tell the difference from regular cakes.
My two bundt cakes were made, decorated, wrapped, and ready to go within 25 minutes and they were so cute! I couldn’t have asked for better cakes. The person who received the cake was so impressed with the flavor and couldn’t believe that it was gluten free, dairy free, etc!
The other bundt cake was a sample bundt cake which had a slice of red velvet, carrot, banana walnut, lemon, poppy seed, and chocolate chip. It was devoured by the gals in less than 45 minutes. The only thing left were crumbs and a few ribbons. The lemon, poppy seed, and chocolate chip were the most favored flavors and I agree. They were all very flavorful, moist, and had a great balanced of flavors. It was not too rich and not too bland.
I am definitely coming back as they have a lot of selection on bundt cakes and cookies!

This is a fun place to get a unique cake gift. They sell large and small cakes, with frosting and a bit of décor, or major decorations that are bigger than the cake. They can do just about anything you can imagine.
I’ve been drawn into this shop a few times, while shopping for gifts, or after going to Veggie Grill or Trader Joe’s next door. They usually have free samples available and they are confident in the taste of the product. Although I’m not big on eating cake very often, they do have some nice moist, tasty cakes!
The prices can be a little steep, but you are paying for both the product and presentation. If you buy one of these cakes as a gift, it will probably go over well, as they are memorable bundles of fun!
(Also, the employees are really nice and want to help you find just the right cake and décor for your occasion, or just your hunger if that’s all you’re there for!)
