It’s such a shame I had this experience here. I’ve been coming to Crema Café for almost 10 years. I’m not a regular but I come a couple times a year. Today, the food was unusually bad. The crêpe that was supposed to be savory was too sweet, the hollandaise sauce tasted like mayonnaise, and their typically delicious breakfast potatoes were chewy and soggy. I asked for the manager and he said that people love the potatoes, love the hollandaise sauce and that they only have one crêpe– which is sweet, and they use that for the savory crêpe dishes. No apology and he seemed more annoyed than concerned. Oh well, there are other places I can go to get breakfast.

I was so excited to finally try this place out, I’ve heard such great reviews. To my disappointment it did not even come close. I got the eggs Benedict with potatoes, I usually love this dish. It was mediocre at best and the potatoes were burnt. My boyfriend got the veggie breakfast burrito, he said it was ok but nothing to write home about. He also got an americano, of which he stated was the weakest he’d ever had. We shared one pancake… It was eh. Service was poor as well. They dropped off the americano and the pancake, we asked about creamer and syrup. The one server responded to my boyfriend as if he should’ve known, it’s over there… The server I asked about the syrup didn’t even respond and just walked away, to her defense, she returned 10 mins later with syrup. Overall, I won’t be back. I’m the least picky eater you’ll ever meet and even I was not impressed.

Very yummy and casual restaurant. There wasn’t a line when we went so we were able to order pretty fast and our food was served promptly. I ordered one of their fruit ice tea beverages but it was a bit sweet so the staff quickly exchanged it for a new drink(Thai ice tea). I ordered the banana pancakes and I split the apple and banana crêpe with a friend. They have outside seating and it felt wonderful outside so we enjoyed the patio area. It was a great way to start the day

Very disappointing. The one star is for the savory crêpe by itself, was delicious. The fillings not so much and way too much melted butter on top and I asked for grilled veggies and cilantro added for an additional .75 each. The cilantro was so scarce, I think I might have seen three tiny pieces. The potatoes on the side were plentiful enough but rubbery and over salty and not good. The texture was like old potatoes that should have been tossed in compost. Expensive and Overrated place. Go somewhere else.

Inside seating is limited. There are a lot of patio seating and they have heaters on a cold morning. I wouldn’t mind sitting outside, but it was the day that it was misty, so we preferred indoor seating. It depends on how busy they are; sometimes you have to wait to be seated and sometimes you find your own table and order at the counter. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict with a choice of fruit or potatoes. The Eggs Benedict was really good and tasty. I would like to go back and try other dishes such as the Breakfast Crêpe and maybe the lunch items. They have free coffee for you while you wait for a table. Next door is the bakery and the French macarons are pretty good. They have muffins, scones, and cookies in the bakery.

This is by far the only brunch spot I would wake up early on a weekend. These days, early is wake up at 8 and head on. By the time 9am ish rolls around, there’s a line. Bearable state. The later you go, the longer the wait coz it is just that good. They do have an app to tell you how long. Smoked salmon omelette is our staple and I always get their mocha. Actually I think all their coffees are r-illy bomb. I just noticed today that they have specials. The word pork belly surely captured my eye and my rumbling belly. My gut instinct(see what I did there) was once again right on the money. Imagine a slab of pork belly with feta cheese topped with fried eggs drizzled with green sauce on an open face sammich. Yup, my breakfast was ayayayay heavenly! The salmon was, as usual, superbly delicious. The salmon, eggs, cream and caper just gave enough flavor to satisfy the tastebuds. To end, not all great food comes with awesome service. But Crema is an exception where both are quite shown and presented to even the sleepiest bedhead customer who just rolled in their pjs.

FIVESTARBREAKFAST Go-to when company comes along. The wait is long but the food is worth it. Especially the Eggs Benedict. They bake their own bread and serve you free coffee while you wait. They text when your table is ready. Most of the seating is outdoors. Inside is super small. Only open for breakfast and lunch. I’ve tried it for lunch but I prefer the breakfast menu.

Dog friendly patio, self serve ordering and good for brunch. I highly recommend the roasted vegetable omelet and the roasted chicken artichoke sandwich on artisan bread. Very popular with the locals.

Came here with some friends, Had the seal beach omelet It was fluffy however lacked bacon and not enough cheese. Had to season it with salt and pepper to be able to eat. The toast was fine. The potatoes looked amazing but we’re barely edible as most were uncooked and hard on the inside which you couldn’t tell from the cooked browned looking outside– they definitely weren’t fresh judging by how fast our food came out– I should’ve ordered the fries which I tried from my friend!!! At least my dog was happy with leftovers! The staff is nice, you order and then seat yourself. Very busy. If there ever e is a next time I’d order something from the bakery and different food to give it a second shot.

Such a great place to have breakfast on a chill Saturday morning. We got the breakfast crêpe and the chorizo Benedict. Delicious! We got a choice of fruit or potatoes for our entrees. We also got a vanilla latte, hot chocolate with whipped cream, and an oatmeal banana pancake. Vanilla latte and hot chocolate were yummy. The pancake was ok. It tasted plain. I thought the pancake would contain the banana, but the banana was only on the side. We should’ve just gone with our original choice — Nutella and banana french toast. You can never go wrong with Nutella. As far as the service, the wait wasn’t that long surprisingly. We arrived at around 9:45am. We waited 20 – 30 minutes for a table. There were only two of us. Our server took a while to get to our table to offer us drinks. He only checked up on us once after he took our order. Some other server took care of us after that, and I wondered where our original server went. I thought it was cool that this café mainly served outside. It was a relaxing environment and very pet-friendly. A lot of people had their dogs with them. 4 stars because the food was great(minus the oatmeal banana pancake)!

Cute cafes are my thing, I love them! Went paddle boarding nearby and decided to look up somewhere to have a nice brunch with my hunny because you know I have to feed him so he doesn’t complain about everything else I was trying to do right after. Anyway, I stumbled upon The Crema Café & Artisan Bakery and knew we had to check it out… Chorizo Benedict WITH roasted papas?! I’m there! We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful day out, so here’s my breakdown: DRINKS 1. Lemonade(thanks Bey, this is my current go to drink) — I was totally expecting to drink some fresh squeezed lemonade… WRONG… don’t get lemonade it was just weird(beyhive come regulate!) 2. Orange Juice– same as my lemonade experience, it tasted like Tropicana to me which is not my top pick for orange juice but hey, it is what it is I ended up sticking to water afterwards. FOOD 1. Chorizo Benedict– this is where it starting getting good because I started to GRUB. It was delicious, I loved it. I’m not a huge Benedict fan because it’s either a hit or a miss, but I’m glad I took a risk because this was crack! Then add some roasted papas and I was SOLD. 2. Nutella French Toast– must I say more? It really came down to how they cooked the toast because anything with some Nutella and fresh strawberries and banana you know is going to be good. Well they cooked it just right, no complaints. 3. Extra side of roasted papas!- why? they were that good! My hunny and I were quiet once we got our food, we were busy getting our grub on. I’d be back again, next time I’ll check out the bakery!

Had the Chorizo Breakfast crêpe. Better than I thought it was going to be. Generous portions. Couldn’t be more pleased. It’s a nice little set up with outdoor seating and indoor seating. I may like it just because I was able to take my dog with me. It’s pretty casual you have to order at the counter and then take a number and go sit down. I went on a Tuesday and it’s been pretty steady so I imagine that the weekend must be super busy.

Nice place with long lines. 1 hour wait this morning but worth the wait. Our server came right away to take our order. and within 5 – 10 minute, we had our food. We ordered the Seal Beach Omelette, Breakfast Crêpe Chorizo, Benedict Chorizo, Mini Pastries basket and Avocado Toast. The Servers kep our water and coffee cups full. All was good.

Mothers Day breakfast with my sweetie! Dad had to work but left me in good hands. This place is GREAT! Service is great! Food is FANTASTIC! Love the Breakfast Crêpe which has chorizo in it! Yes chorizo! Yum yum yum!!! Abram was our server and was very hospitable and accommodating making sure to give suggestions on the menu and making sure we were taken care of! Recommend this place to everyone. Suggestion though: on special occasions such as Mothers Day. Use the NoWait app. Basically you check in virtually and avoid long waits. Life saver.

What a wonderful place for breakfast in the springtime. The wait was a little long, but not the kind where you would want to walk away for an opportunity for a nice meal. There’s a lot of outdoor seating and it’s a little crowded, but somehow you’re not overwhelmed. It’s dog friendly which is definitely a plus! Plus at the right time, there’s free coffee while you wait by the entrance. Another touch of going out of your way for customers. The breakfast selection is pretty amazing. I myself don’t have the sweetest tooth for breakfast items so luckily there was an extensive list of omelettes, sandwiches, and crepes for your choosing! As I was sitting down I noticed almost every table had the roasted potatoes, so I figured it had to be good. Ended up ordering the pesto chicken crêpe with roasted potatoes and I must say it was everything I thought it would be. Their was a lot of pesto so be prepared. It’s delicious if you love pesto like myself. The chicken wasn’t overpowering either. The potatoes was pretty amazing as well and their portions are generous. Picked up a big of granola from the bakery as well and it didn’t disappoint.

This is one of my friend’s favorite breakfast spot and we all got to try it Sunday morning! I believe on some days you go inside to order and then they bring your order to you but today we were seated by a hostess. There was no wait for breakfast around 9:30AM. I’m not sure how the wait is during brunch hours. I definitely love that this place is pet friendly — I saw so many cute dogs and will come back next time with mine! The outdoor seating and nicely shaded and spacious. I ordered the Croque Madame. I love eggs Benedict but I’m not a big fan of English muffins so when I saw I could get a crispy flaky croissant, I went for it! It comes with two sunny side up eggs, ham, hollandaise sauce and your choice of seasoned potatoes or fruit. I chose the seasoned potatoes and do not regret it at all. The croissant was a nice change from the English muffin. Everything about the Croque Madame was delicious. I was afraid it would be on the salty side because of the ham and seasoned potatoes but it wasn’t. The potatoes had a crispy exterior and was seasoned generously! Parking isn’t so bad if you arrive early and not during peak hours. But even then, I’m sure the walk isn’t that far from the place.

Cute café with a nice al fresco dining area. The menu was huge and had a good variety of all the major brunch items but overall, everything was extremely salty. It’s a place you order at the cashier and find a table kind of place. The food: Chorizo Benedict– Poached eggs, chorizo, hollandasie. When you look at the pic, it looks amazing, but overall it was just OK. I did love the twist on the Benedict, the idea of doing homemade bread was very unique. The chorizo had good flavor but was on the salty side, and it had a look similar to a Sloppy Joe. The poached eggs were great, they were cooked nicely with a nice runny yolk but the Hollandaise was a little lacking, there was no sign of lemon in the sauce. The potatoes were bad, they were beyond salty and not even served hot. Breakfast Crêpe– Scrambled eggs, potato, cheese, chorizo, avocado, sour cream, side of pico de gallo. The ingredients make the dish seem like an instant winner but I thought the dish was just OK. The crêpe was kinda one note and with the first bite, you get a really strong butter flavor but in a bad kind of way. Chorizo Burger– ½lb angus beef and pork chorizo on homemade brioche bun, with caramelized onion, jalepeno jack cheese, avocado, tomato, butter lettuce, Thousand Island dressing. This burger was such a big burger it was on inconvenience to eat, but the flavors did all work really nicely together and I liked the homemade bun. The side of sweet potato fries were excellent. these are a must side. OJ– Means poured out of the cartoon into a plastic cup, left in the refrigerator and picked up and handed to customer when ordered.

We had brunch here on Sunday around 1pm after spending the weekend in Long Beach. The wait was about an hour long, which is pretty standard for popular brunch spots. The café is located on a really cute street that is very similar to Larchmont street in LA, with a lot of cute little boutique shops. I would definitely eat outside on a beautiful sunny day in So Cal. Parking is a bit difficult to find because it is pretty much street parking and first come first serve but fortunately we got very lucky and found a spot near by. I believe the parking is 2 hours max per spot. My friend and I both ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedicts with potatoes and I had the vanilla chai latte. The salmon eggs benedicts were delicious and I really like the choice of bread that they used instead of the standard english muffin. The potatoes were too salty for our liking so we didn’t eat much of it. The service here was really great and all of the staff was very friendly. Oh and this is a random side note. My friend really wanted to redeem a free muffin for checking in on Unilocal that she attempted for like 10 minutes but after trying to redeem it at the bakery area, the staff said that she had to Check-in 2 more times to receive the muffin LOL! I would definitely come back.

It would be a disservice not to review and share this place with the Unilocal community. It looks like your standard café, but the flavor is out of this world! The veggie Benedict had the most appetizing seasoning — mouth watering, in fact. I ordered the hollandaise on the side and barely had to use it because the flavoring of the veggies were so inviting. The English muffin underneath was a beautiful fluffy and crisped on the outside. Hot Americano was delivered steaming to the table. Get ready for a potentially short wait for seating. It’s walk in only, but definitely worth the wait.

Came here on a week day around 1ish and there wasn’t a wait yay us! Been to this establishment a few times and it has always been consistent with customer service as well as quality of food. There is seating both inside and outside in the back/side of restaurant. Pay first and find a seat type of place inside. I almost always get SALMONBENEDICT and the MULTIGRAINFRENCHTOAST. SALMON BENEDICT-comes with two salmon Benedict pieces and choice of side I always go with the potatoes. Perfect Benedict with just enough hollandaise sauce that is greatly flavored and not salty. 4 ½ stars*** MULTIGRAINFRENCHTOAST– regular order comes with 4 pieces kids order comes with 2 topped with powdered sugar. Comes with their amazing citrus syrup and whipped butter. 4 ½ stars**** Will be back of course.

Definitely one of the must visit café if you’re in the area. You’ll have to make difficult decision when you’re here because«everything» looking incredibly amazing! Ordered: 1. Nutella Crêpe — perfection! The sugary edges are extra crunch and delicious where the centers are gooey, soft, and tender. This is definitely a must order dish if you like nutty, chocolaty and sweet concoction. 2. Sunny Side Up eggs & Corn Beef — the corn beef were tender and favorable, but the eggs were over done. I’m not the type of send back my food, but I had to this time because I want my eggs perfectly yolky for me to eat it! Eggs has to be done right or it’s just not right 3. Chorizo Egg Benedict — Spicy, salty chorizo goes perfectly with the eggs and the fresh bake eggs. A side of sweet potato fries is a must on this guy. The sweet potatoes were crunchy, sweet and perfect Tip: Wait can be long, so be prepared to wait a minimum of 30 minutes to get seated. Inside seating are also extremely limited, so recommend grabbing a seat on which ever seat comes first

Flies, flies, flies. Took my mother-in-law here for the first time, while she was visiting us last weekend. Flies landed all over our cups, plates, and food. But don’t worry, there are pigeons by your feet that will brush up against your ankles to make you feel better. Not a good impression. We were all grossed out and couldn’t finish our food after the 10th-or-so fly landed in our dishes. Waiter was super nice, though. So there’s that. Other establishments have figured out solutions to fly problems; cmon Crema Café, start Googling.
