Danny’s Auto Painting and Body Work

Took in our Tundra Truck for minor but all over dings and scratches. Also discovered previous bodywork had been done before we purchased the truck from the dealer that was now oxidizing and cracking on the hood. Danny’s did an amazing job! Our truck looks like new! Thank you for the great workmanship, we highly recommend Danny’s Auto Painting :)

I am so lucky that I found this place! Danny and all of the workers did such an excellent job on my car, and they were very honest and reasonable with prices. I scratched the paint off of my metallic silver car, and Danny had it fixed as if it were brand new in less than 24 hours. If anything else were to happen to my car, I would certainly go out of my way to make sure that my car were at Danny’s Auto Painting and in Danny’s hands. I am very impressed and happy with the job, and I was not at all overcharged for the great work. Thanks, Danny!

If I could leave zero stars I would!
I recently used Danny’s after a friend had said they took great care of him at a great price. I live in San Diego but I am willing to pay and drive for great work.
I called to get a verbal estimate and spoke to the owner Danny, he was incredibly rude and very unhelpful, but I decided to ignore this and at his behest took the car in for an evaluation. when I was there the price was double what my friend had said what he paid but there were factors that I thought might warrant that. So I left the car.
I never received any update as to when the car would be completed. I had to call for information several times.
When I went to pickup the car I was aghast at the job performed. parts were taken off the car and never put back on, just thrown in the trunk. There was painters tape still applied to the car that I had to remove. There was making paper wadded up in the car. There are runs in the paint and the body work was very shoddy.
I was so pissed off that I just simply didn’t feel like dealing with it and left.
When I got home to put the parts in the trunk back on the car I found that not all of them were in the car. I called and Danny answered, I informed him of the situation and he said he would be able to look for the parts until the following week and hung up on me. I called back and got another employee who said that Danny just left and I had to explain the situation again. This employee did find the parts and mailed them to me.
This weekend I tried to use the windshield wipers and found that the tech had not put them back on correctly and had to fix that.
In short; this shop is sheisty, and dirty. The owners are unprofessional and rude. The customer service is terrible, and the workmanship is awful.
Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible!!!

Friendly and trustworthy. Good price and quality work. They did not try to find other work that needed to be done. They just did what we agreed on for the price we agreed on.

These guys are amazing. They’re quick, and listen to what your needs are, and aren’t trying to push you into having additional work done (even when your car obviously needs it, which is why I dread going to auto repair shops, lol.)
Very professional and great at what they do. They make sure they can find a solution that works for you and your financial situation. Which is much better than having places tell me there’s only one way of fixing something and giving me a huge price, and then telling me I should have a couple of extra body works done on my car.
All in all, they’re incredible. Def. going there from now on.

Danny’s delivered with perfect paint match on my old classic Volvo. And this was a hard to match specialty paint with no color code available. Excellent customer service and surprisingly quick turnaround time. Highly recommend!

I ran into a car mirror on my way to work which left a huge black mark on the left side of my Toyota Highlander. I called Danny’s Auto Painting because it got good reviews and was not too far from my house. I brought my car in that afternoon, hoping to get a good quote before telling my husband the bad news! The guy at the desk told me to wait on the sofa while he checked it out. Within 10 minutes he told me to come and take a look… the mark was completely gone and both doors looked brand new! And the BEST part he didn’t charge me a dime! Actually said I was lucky because it didn’t scratch (would of been a couple grand because i have the pearly white kind of paint). Very nice man and I was sooo happy! I even ended up telling my husband! Thank you so much Danny’s. If I ever need body repair your my place (i hope i won’t ever need to see you again though)! :)

I woke up to orange spray paint all over the passenger side of my car that I bought two weeks ago. Took it to Danny’s and before I could even finish my sob story, he already was trying a product to see if he could remove the paint. Worked like a charm and I couldn’t be more relieved. Everyone is incredibly friendly. The place isn’t a snazzy shop, but who cares if the service and quality of service is superb? They even scrubbed every nook and cranny with a toothbrush! Couldn’t be more relieved or satisfied. I showed up at left with a perfectly fixed car 30 minutes later.

I needed to sell my 2008 Honda Fit. To do this my vehicle needed bodywork but not a total make-​over. Went out and got estimates. Some places never even bothered to get back to me. Danny came in with the best price and coached on how best to sell my vehicle.

I just left Danny’s shop with my car. Yesterday, an SUV ran its tire against my left rear door. I took it in to get a quote this morning. I walked into the shop to see Danny and another gentleman fiddling with a fishing pole. Danny and I went to my vehicle where after taking a quick look at the damage, he asked me to back it into the shop. He immediately got a guy working on my door and said he’d be right back with a
the time he came back with a quote, the guy was done removing the rubber and buffing out the paint with wax. Turns out the quote to fix the almost unseen dent was less than my deductible. As much as I drive this car, I am not fixing that right now. When I asked Danny what I owe, he said give me a good review on Unilocal (which is the way I found his shop,) and come back when you have a real issue. Hey Danny, I’ll be back! Fish on!

Danny’s reprinted my classic 1985 Mazda RX7 and fixed 29 years of small dents and scratches. Car looks fantastic and I get lots of compliments. When I wanted a few minor things redone Rich fixed them quickly with no complaints.

I was referred to Danny’s by my employers fleet service dept. I’m glad I took their advice. It’s a good old fashioned family business. They don’t have the unnecessary fancy lounge (that drives up the costs) and layers of service people to deal with. Just a straight forward auto body shop. I had a special request and Dan was very accommodating. My expectations were exceeded. It seemed like that’s just what they do, to do a little more than what’s expected. Work was completed by when was promised as well. They also have a good relationship with my insurance carrier, AAA and a local car rental agency. It all went very smoothly. Thanks Danny’s!

I have recently had my third car dent-​repaired and completely repainted at Danny’s Auto Painting, and I am extremely pleased with the final product. A neighbor referred us to Danny’s over 30 years ago and I have extended that referral to others many times. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. They work well with your insurance. They are a long-​term and family-​owned business. Prices are quite reasonable and the staff takes great pride in their work. They are willing to throw in final touches that I believe many others might not. I once scrapped my car, its full length, on a bush. I was devastated at the result. I went to Danny’s for an estimate and they buffed it out, right then and there, at no cost. Now that is excellent PR for continued patronage. The office aura is welcoming and comfy. And if you are very special, you might get to pet one of the little doggies. An extra treat for sure!

I cannot say my experience with this place was any good.
I had a very simple job. I had 2 small plastic bezel from my car’s fog lamp that I wanted painted matt black. I took them off my car and brought them in to get a quote after reading all the top rate reviews here.
I cannot say the staff was friendly or helpful. I stood there for some time before someone in the office ask me what I want. After I explained to them what I want, they simply told me to wait. After some time, an older man came out and ask me the same thing. Maybe its a racial thing, but I’m ok with that. At least they were not openly unfriendly, and if they were as good as I read they were, I would put that aside.
The man thought for awhile and said the job would cost $ 65. I thought it was a little excessive but again, if they did a good job, I was willing to pay the premium. I asked if they would apply a layer of clear or protectant to the finished job and the guy gave me a funny look. He said that if I wanted matt, I cannot have any clear coat on it. I ask if there was a type of matt clear and he said the reason its call clear it because they make everything glossy. Long story short, he made me sound like I did not know what I was talking about. I’m no paint expert, so I trusted his professional opinion.
I asked how long it will take and he said 1 week. Again, excessive in my mind (Its 2 small 3″ diameter plastic rings!) but it they did a good job, I will not push it. A week later and I came to get it. Nothing special. Looked like a spray can job. No protectant like he said. Paint felt real soft. I wasn’t too happy but the job was already done, so I paid and left.
I put it on my car and a week later, I can see the paint chipping off. Its been months now and chipping around the edges are everywhere. I have to be honest. I feel cheated. Felt like I paid some guy $ 65, waited a week, for them to spray can paint my part a day before I came to pick them up.
Maybe others had wonderful experience with them, but I did not. For that reason, I cannot recommend anyone to use their services. Good luck to those who still wished to.

I would HIGHLY recommend Danny’s Auto Painting and Collision. I was greeted before even entering the establishment by an employee who was more than willing to help. I asked to speak to Danny himself, and he made himself available to me. I needed some work done on my audi a5 thanks to this lovely new scrape someone left me at lunch yesterday. I told him I was in a rush (hoping that maybe I could get bumped ahead in the lineup of cars). Danny told me to leave my keys, and he called me within one hour and my car was ready. I WAS AMAZED. I don’t Unilocal much, but I had to do this because of the outstanding work and customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Danny’s is of course run by Danny and family. I love that this place is run by a family and has been in business since the 1950’s by Danny’s father and family. I do want to wish Danny’s father a quick recovery and hope he gets well since he’s in the hospital.
I got into a minor accident and needed repairs on my front bumper on my Honda. After having my car estimated by my insurance company, i brought it over to Danny’s since it was close to the insurance company’s estimate center and close to my work in Long Beach. Danny’s never rushed me nor did they make me feel obligated to have to leave my car there for my collision repairs. He was truthful and honest and even gave me some options on my repairs to fix, repair or even replace the whole bumper. I was satisified on the outcome of his estimated price and also on the final outcome of the repairs. It was also nice since I had to go out of town and I was able to leave my car with Danny’s while I was on vacation. He let me know that it would take 2 – 3 days for the repairs and when i picked it up after vacation, the front bumper looked like it should of looked it… brand new!
Thanks to Danny’s! I would highly recommend Danny’s for your collision repairs, BUT I don’t plan to visit Danny’s anytime soon. :)
Danny also works on fleet cars from LBPD and other LB city cars. Good to know!

They did an amazing job on my Land Rover. If I ever need any paint/​body work done on my car or just to have it waxed and detailed I will be sure to take it back. I fully trust the owner with his pricing as I got multiple quotes before going with Danny’s and I am glad I did, he could have quoted me more than what needed to be done like the other places but he gave me his honest opinion and it saved me hundreds of dollars. Overall a excellent family run business that is not out to rip people off and do a good job.

can’t say enough about this place. everyone was helpful. danny went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied when the color i described didn’t match the color i chose. at least a dozen ppl have asked me if i got a new truck.(it’s a ’99). beautiful job. my only regret is that i don’t have more cars to have painted!!!

Have had 10+ cars done here, everything from a $ 1000 basic job to a $ 5000 job for a show car. If there were ever any problems (paint runs, etc.) they took care of them right away. It is family owned and operated which is always a plus. The owner is always around to talk to and is very friendly. Excellent place, I highly recommend!

I needed some body panels repainted as well as some replaced, but didn’t know where to go to get my car looked at; a bunch of my friends recommended this place to me and they were right. I love that Danny’s is family owned. Everyone was extremely nice and personable and my car looks GREAT. Danny was always around for me to talk to and check up with and my car came out looking great. My little red Toyota looks like brand new and I didn’t have to break the bank, either. I would go here for any future repair or paint jobs I needed. :)
