Lexus Collision Center Cerritos

A moron rear ended my wife’s 2015 Prius and sped off. Damage was minor, but noticeable.
So I used my insurance and took it to Lexus Collision Center because they did such a good job in the past. However, this time, their workmanship was less than average. Finish was not good and they did not repair to pre-​accident condition. I confronted with the adviser when I picked up my car and he said «Oh, this is normal for Prius». I did not think so, but I had to leave as I was busy and need my car back. The gap between the rear bumper and body is too much. You can see white bracket and it looks ugly. I checked other Prius and I was convinced that the gap was too much. I filed a complaint with my insurance company (State Farm). Let’s see what they can do.

Lexus Collision Center was great to work with after my accident. They were professional nice to work with, answered & addressed any concerns I had. Best part they delivered my car ahead of schedule. Even though I did have to take my Avalon back for a minor issue.
However Patrick Zepeda (and Wallly the tech) took care of the issue right away! I couldn’t be any happier with work they did on my Avalon.

From the early 90’s until now, I have always been a car /​SUV enthusiast so all my cars and SUVs have been souped up, performance moded, and lowered the right way (coilovers). With that being said even my commuter car that I rack up the miles on is customized. A 2012 Plug-​In Prius that cost me $ 37,000 in 2012 and I immediately dumped another $ 5,000 into it in 2012 in customization. No other obvious reason that I bought this car than to laugh at others stuck while I continue my carpool usage, (even traded in my hybrid with yellow carpool stickers that would have lasted me another 10 years as a commuter.)
Anyway, I paid even more for the Blizzard Pearl White paint. Since then I’ve seen others follow. Just like when I was one of the first with two Audi’s with LED lights back in 2009 and now everyone has followed.
Anyway so back to my Toyota. I was happy was 100% built in Japan, 100% parts from Japan for my particular vehicle. It is now 4 years old and still looks brand new and it is now 2016. And the reason you are even seeing this review is because I went in for a simple routine, every 10,000 mile synthetic oil change at AutoNation Toyota of Cerritos. That happiness was taken away from me by a careless service porter that does nothing but drives customers cars to and from the technician who services the car. My car was next and this buffoon went to go get my car and drove it backwards and side swiped my right rear custom wheel, right quater panel, and right rear door on a cement pillar.
Much of my anxiety and concern has been with paint match, pearl, metallic flake density and distribution, blend, orange peel, tone, and clear coat. I dealt with John Nguyen and Yordi Reyes the entire time from the AutoNation Toyota dealership and not the staff at Lexus Collision and they worked with the staff at Lexus Collision.
I’ve done my final QC inspection in every lighting situation as the sun finally peaked in the right way today on my driveway. I requested they used the very best and most experienced painter because I do have an eye for detail. It’s what I’ve done for the movie studio for a decade and one half and it’s now what I do for aerospace. Well my happiness has returned. Whoever they used to paint is better than a robotic painter in Japan. This guy I want to take to dinner at Mastros or Flemings. He did a FLAWLESS JOB. BLIZZARD PEARL WHITE is probably one of the hardest paints to match and blend and he did a mere perfect job. From quarter panel to door„ to the rocker, to the pillar. The match /​blend is flawless and perfect.

I needed a small repair quick and AutoNation came through. Jesse was my contact person and was very helpful and friendly. He was able to work my car into the schedule just two days after I contacted him and the cost was very fair. Jesse called to follow up the next day and sent a thank you note. I recommend the shop.

My car has been here for a month and I keep getting empty promises of when my car will be ready. I am extremely dissatisfied with the amount of time it’s taking to have my vehicle repaired. Now they are saying it will take another two weeks because the wheel needs to be re chromed. When my vehicle was hit the first time, it was speedy process and so figured I’d come here again. I’m not sure if it’s under new management but the follow through is not what it used to be.

Auto Nation/​Lexus was friendly, professional and efficient. An excellent experience in every way for me.

Five weeks later and I finally get my car and the battery is dead, the fog lights don’t work, headlight goes out when I press the breaks AND rear windows won’t open! They had my car for 2 weeks before they even started! They can’t get parts?! Come on, they are certified as a Lexus body shop but can’t get simple parts like molding?!! I find that hard to believe! They told me that there were no electrical or wiring issues but my battery burned out?! They told me that they were going to replace the battery! When I asked for it, the advisor, Todd said, «I never said that!» «I said, we would replace the posts and caps because you had corrosion on the posts! These issues are pretty good indications that there were problems with fuses, wiring, etc. They won’t admit that they screwed up but they have indicated that they will fix the issues! I’m afraid that it will only get worse! The BBB, Lexus corporate and Lexus Customer Relations at Cerritos Lexus have been notified and informed of my complaints! I left a message for the Collision Manager, Steve Orth, you never managed to call me back! This is one of those situations where women are treated differently because they aren’t suppose to be smart enough to know anything about cars and/​or repairs. Not my first rodeo and I’m tired of it! Don’t take your car to this place! #unfairtreatmentofwomen and technicians are incapable! The saddest part of all is that they are ruining Lexus’ reputation for great customer service and repairs! I’m so pissed that I can’t even begin to explain the level of frustration that I’ve experienced and continue to experience!

Front desk girl, Andrea, has MAJOR attitude, and I’ve only been here TWICE for a total of, maybe 30 — 40 minutes? It shouldn’t be so transparent in such little time. I assumed it was nothing the first time and just ignored it.
(Edit): & BECAUSE of her attitude — snarky, smart aliky – (how she presented information that my adjuster wasn’t available as none are and are in a production meeting) — I’m going elsewhere. I actually would have waited the 30 minutes, as I took time off to come, but was really put off by how extremely blunt, dry and non chalant she was with simple information. No thanks. There’s a universal saying, «it’s not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it». Totally unprofessional. Thankfully, I have a world of options on the other insured’s dime for repair, I’ll exercise them.
(Update 8.24.15) — I ended up taking my car to Platinum VIP in Irwindale.

The best service in my 81 years. You took all the worry out by keeping me informed and I got back my black Lexus looking like new. You eft it cleaner than when I brought it in. Thanks to all of you

Our 2013 lexus was involved in a collision with over 25k in repairs. The body shop that Farmers sent us to (Honda World in Westminster) lied to us and said the damages were under 20k and they would repair it. FORTUNATELY, I got a hold of PATRICK at Lexus Collision Center. Patrick and Adrianna treated us with respect from day 1. They answered all of my questions, they were honest, and it was clear that our car was safe with them. We would go back to LCCC only because of PATRICK and Adrianna!

Mr. Zepeda did a superb job repairing my car. He was on time with finishing the car, and took his time to explain what the procedures were. I was happy with this location and will recommend others to consider this place.

I was in an accident and my rear axle broke and the suspension maimed on my brand new IS350 °F. It took 6 weeks, but my beautiful car is like brand new. I worried that it would not be the same… it actually feels better! I especially loved the weekly phone calls updating me on the progress… I would highly recommend!

I dropped my vehicle off at Toyota of Cerritos for accident repairs and was told they would be taking it to a different shop to do the repairs because Toyota did not do them in-​house. Manny Serna Jr. checked in my truck, noting the damage to be repaired. I pointed out to Manny that there were some after-​market accessories added to the back of the truck, and pointed them out to him to make sure he could show them to the collision center. Manny told me the repairs should take 7 – 10 business days.
I received a call from Patrick Zepeda (the collision estimator at the repair facility) the following week. He told me that once they started to remove the bed to do the repairs, his technician did not know how to handle the wiring with the add-​ons (air line for air bags, back-​up camera and 4 sensors, and power rolling bed cover with 2 switches).
I went down to the collision center and showed the technician how the add-​on wiring was connected. He did not take any notes or label anything. Patrick told me they would «do their best».
After waiting two weeks to get additional approval from my insurance company, Patrick phoned and told me that his technician could not figure out how to properly wire the add-​ons. I went down again to assist him with the bed cover. I asked Patrick if they were using the proper connections to rewire (butt connectors and/​or solder) and he said that they were using butt connectors.
Patrick phoned a couple of days later and told me his technician had «given up» and I would have to reconnect the wires myself, and that my turn signals now did not work either. Patrick also showed me one of the bed cover switches that his technician had broken, again telling me I had to replace it (a 3 dollar part at Radio Shack). I phoned my insurance agent and Cerritos Toyota customer care and Toyota said they were going to send an electrician over to fix the electrical issues.
During repairs, they somehow ran the 5-​month-​old battery dead and repeatedly jumped it, blowing fuses under the dash, and I had to supply them with a replacement battery. A week later, I suddenly needed a new transmission on a truck with 97,000 miles. Weird huh?
I was also told by Toyota that the extra 5 days with the rental car (my insurance only covered the rental for 30 days) would be taken care of by the collision center. I dropped the rental car off and was told that I owed for the 5 days. I informed them that the collision center was to take care of it. I informed Patrick of this, as did the Toyota Customer Care Director, and the collision center still did nothing. After I had already picked up my truck the rental car company phoned me again telling me they were going to charge my card if I did not take care of it. They called the collision center and it was finally paid for and my credit card released.
At the very end of all of this, Patrick called and told me that the bed cover opened but did not close. I informed him it was an improper (loose) connection and his technician needed to fix it. He again told me that his technician was done with my truck, as was his shop. He told me of a bed cover repair shop 21 miles away that I would have to pay for, and the insurance would reimburse me. I think that the collision center should have covered this cost, as they did not fix my vehicle and have it the same condition as when I dropped it off. Both the insurance and Toyota customer care told me it should be the same way as when I dropped it off. I agreed, Patrick didn’t.
I had to pull the bed cover off myself and fix it, had to fix the tailgate support tensioner that was not hooked back up, deal with the rental car issues, and replace the back-​up camera that they had cut the video wire and tried to ‘fix’ the connection. I also had to go under the truck and replace all of the cut wire connections with butt connectors and heat shrink tubing. I also had to replace the transmission that coincidentally went out 2 weeks after all of the electrical issues.
During the last week of them having my truck I was on vacation and, as you can imagine, getting all of these calls from Patrick with more bad news really ruined the fun vacation I was trying to have with my family.
Please take my advice and don’t go through the hassle I had to. I’ve also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am still trying to decide what to do next.
Oh yeah, I cringed at the end when I still had to pay Patrick my $ 500 deductible.

I took my is 250 lexus 2010 after being back into at the grocery store. Ashely at the front desk is amazing and richard did a great job not only did my car look amazing they also took it to the car wash my tires were polished I hightly recommend them. Thanks I love my black beauty (car),

If I could give more stars I would. I highly recommend them! I took my Nissan Altima in after a semi truck rear ended me And the damage was bad. The entire back was totaled. I picked it up today and it looked amazing! It looked better than when I bought the car. They even detailed my car. I wasn’t expecting that. But it looks amazing. I’m glad they took care of my car. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming. If you are trying to decide where to take your car. Go here!

I highly recommend this place. I took my 2013 Toyota Camry for a fender bender and dealt with Bryan. Bryan kept me posted and updated me with the process of what was being done to my car. The end results were stellar! Thanks to Bryan and his outstanding team!

My mother shopped around a lot and decided to take her Lexus to «Lexus of Cerritos Collision Center» for a simple repair. I usually look into Unilocal reviews before deciding, but did not this time because Lexus is a very well known brand. What a mistake that was.
My mom was quoted one week for the repair, and that date kept getting pushed out. I was tempted to get involved but my mother is very capable even at 88 years of age so I stayed out of it.
When we went to pick up the car, a month later, we waited for over an hour when they said it would be 5 to 10 minutes. They said the car had been taken to the dealer to have it looked over…
When Jeff finally showed us the car he was extremely polite and the car looked great. However we were still fuming. The final price was 50% higher than the quote and they never communicated that fact to my mom.
We spoke to the GM Thomas Goodenough and after much discussion and challenges he agreed to reduce the cost by $ 500. He admitted to dropping ALL the balls, and that policy is to call the customer upon a change in the estimate, and he did not explain why that didn’t happen. He felt that an apology and 25% discount was enough. It wasn’t until I mentioned going to Corporate Lexus in Torrance and reiterating the negligence upon my mother that he finally agreed to the 50% reduction.
My mother’s experience with all of the personal was horrible. When speaking to them they were polite, but their follow up was wretched. The one time visit I had was pleasant. Yolanda, the admin. asst. at the front desk was very engaging and pleasant. Jim was as well. Having to battle for the 50% discount was stressful. I would not return to Lexus of Cerritos Collision Center ever again, and I recommend you looking elsewhere too.

Had my Lexus GS350’s bumper and fender repaired. Walter, the man running the show, was excellent. He is very helpful in everything. He decoded the insurance paperwork for me, which included used and aftermarket parts. He knew I was unhappy with used parts, so he worked some magic and made sure that my Lexus received certified Lexus parts only. Which brings me to another good point.
Walter, was on top of his game and maintained communications with the insurance to make sure I would not pay a penny for the completed work with certified parts. He knows his field, and he knows the insurance industry well and uses that knowledge to protect us.
Example? Insurance sent me $ 1400 for repairs… After working with Walter and insurance, we received an additional check for $ 1500 to cover the true necessary work. The insurance will trick people into cashing the 1^st check, because if you do, they are no longer liable for more or hidden repairs that cannot be seen unless you take things apart.
My car looks brand new, everything works, and I would go there again, and I did not pay for anything.
PS Walter says one of the best insurance companies to work with is Mercury because they work with customers and handle claims fast, others are like pulling teeth to get a certified part. Just an fyi, but I’m switching to Mercury very soon.

Horrible service!
I got into a fender bender and brought my car here to replace my RX’s rear bumper. My car is CHARCOAL color but when i went to pick up my car two weeks later, my car was equipped with a NAVY bumper!
Told the service consultant and he insisted that because it’s a new bumper with new paint, i need to give it time for the paint to ‘cure’. He also said I can’t compare the plastic bumper to the rest of the car, which is metal. I can understand paint color can appear different on metal versus plastic but it was obvious the new navy bumper in the back did not match the charcoal bumper in the front.
Luckily, I found a navy/​deep blue RX parked in their lot so I pointed it out to the service consultant that he had painted my new bumper with the wrong color. He still insisted that it was the right color, though the color they used didn’t match the color code associated with my VIN.
After much comparison, Lexus of Cerritos finally agreed they would repaint my new bumper with the color associated with my VIN. They made it as though they were doing me a favor by painting the bumper the same color as the rest of the car. It was shocking!
I came back to pick up the car a week later and the bumper color was correct. Whew! I noticed the windshield had all this claim number and things written all over it so I asked if they can wash the car or wipe it off for me. They said NO because they were closing in 30 minutes and they needed to tidy up. They said I can wipe the writings on the windshield with a paper towel from customer lounge. When i requested to speak with a manager in charge, the consultant reluctantly had my car washed.
I always thought Lexus provided great customer service. Well, apparently not here! Luckily, Lexus discontinued color navy for their new Lexus so less colors to confuse these people.
Should have gone to Tustin Lexus or Longo Lexus instead!!!
