Long Beach is one of my favorite destinations. It is laid-​back and fun plus a very dog-​friendly town. It is a tourist destination so the usual shops line the main street — t-​shirts, kites, beach wear, fast food, ice cream shops, and many with cheap plastic things for the kids.
Then you walk into Deux Chapeaux and you are in another world. Soothing, quiet, lovely music and smells. They carry clothing, jewelry and baby clothes plus gift items. All high end, but not too high price. A lovely departure from the neon sweatshirts you’ve just walked past.
