When these guys make cream soups, they are out of this world. Cream of potato – yes. Cream of mushroom… ohhhhhh yes. Cream of Spinach… oh my godomygod. Yes, yes, yes. What’s really a sad thing, though, is that when I come in to work(my shift starts at 1pm) I often cannot get to the soup tureen fast enough to get to the cream soups, because it’s all gone by the time I get there and they don’t make more. God does this ever make me sad. They don’t make these things all that often and so when I miss a cream soup… lately I’ve not gotten there in time for Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Spinach, and each time I was really disappointed. Their Chinese food is often delicious. Their jalepeno chicken is fabulous and their mushroom chicken is mouth-watering. I think the quality of their meats/care taken in trimming gristle, has improved. I wish they’d make shrimp dishes, though. They did once and it was so good that I still look for it. but, no dice. They also have a lovely new cook who’s made some extraordinary food: chicken parmigiana yesterday was excellent, and he also makes a lemon chicken with pasta dish that’s out of this world. But so far he hasn’t made my very favorite, the stuffed roasted pork loin which came wrapped around a delicious filling of spinach and mushrooms. I sure wish he’d make some of that. I’d buy two of them and save the extra for later. They also seem a little more relaxed since I posted my complaining post… and I do love their food. If they’ll make that pork loin again I’ll give them five stars.

Cafeteria food with a twist! This the ONLY and the CLOSET place within walking distance to my job! I work in NOMAN’S LAND which is surrounding a freeway to the south and east and NOTHING else for blocks to the north and west. So the picking are sad and slim around here unless you want to get in your car a drive somewhere and usually there is a freeway involved 99% of the time. We have all had those days where we forget our lunch, don’t want to bring a lunch or haven’t gone grocery shopping so there is no lunch to make. They send out a menu every week and it changes slightly so you don’t get too board. The staff is friendly and because they most likely get regular customers they might know your order before get to the front. The prices are OK and they have a nice selection of breakfast foods and snacks. Some of it is even on the healthy side of things so if you’re watching what you eat before it gets to your mouth you can! It’s nice to have a non-driving option to pick from that is only a short stroll away!
