I didn’t think they can mess up a turkey sandwich but the sandwich I had today was pretty sad. I initially ordered the Turkey Tom which is a simple sandwich with turkey, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I requested an add on of cheese and avocado spread. Guy on the phone recommended the #12 Beach Club for $ 1.60 more rather than separate add-on for $ 2.00 more. When I opened the sandwich, I couldn’t see the avocado spread and I looked hard couple of times. I called back and the guy on the phone asked if I looked between the two layers of cheese. Are you kidding me??? I finally found a small dollop on each side. The spread was so water down you can even taste the avocado. Don’t get me wrong, I used to like Jimmy John’s sandwiches when they first opened. Sandwiches came with healthy portions of meat and veggies. Now, they pretty much skimped out. It’s too bad. I will stick to the Vito(Italian) sandwich when I’m desperate for something to eat for a late lunch. I do appreciate the fast delivery!

OMG Jimmie John why must you be so good!!! I had never even been to one until some guys from the restaurant were in my neighborhood passing out free lil sammiches. They also said they deliver, which is what sold me!!! I own my own business so I rarely have time to sneak out to get lunch so that fact that I can have my sandwich delivered for what, a buck 25? Um, YA!!! And the sandwiches are sooooo good too!

I work just about a half mile away and order from this location all the time. My food consistently arrives quickly, and specified to my order. There are occasional mixups and drinks can be kind of messy which is why they don’t get a 5 star, but I have had many more positive experiences than negative. I order online and am easily able to customize my sandwich. I like the Turkey Tom or the Beach Club. The French bread is their specialty, but the wheat bread is good as well(just expect your sandwich to be smaller).

So I must say I’m say that I’m shocked that they got this 5-star review from me, I don’t even like cold cut. But I love tuna. And that totally tuna is totally good. .like totally.lol. I work down the street from them and ordered one day. They came surprisingly quick with my sandwich chips and drink and everything was fresh and delicious. This last time I ordered online before the store opened at like 10:30am. Was surprised and shocked when my food came at 10:53am. I guess somebody came in early and decided to get things started. I really do appreciate it.

Aww man, I’m not really sure how this is a 4-star establishment. I ordered my favorite kind of turkey sandwich for delivery on my lunch break. I hate mayonnaise, so I said no mayo. Usually my no-mayo sandwiches are great, but this one was particularly dry & super basic. The turkey meat was not the greatest, and the tomatoes were ehh. The lettuce was good though, I do love my lettuce. Overall, I would much rather go to Jersey Mike’s down the street.

I don’t know what Jimmy John’s these people ate at, but this is the absolute worst place I’ve ever had a sandwich from! Complete garbage! Way overpriced for the quality of sandwich they serve. Nothings fresh about their meat it’s like they went to the local market and got a pack of Oscar Myers lunch meat! Never coming to this location or any other location!

More than fresh! So quick I had my sandwich before I got the check paid! JJBLT with provolone hit the spot! Love the boxes of Mini Jimmys you can order and take home.

Came here for the first time while visiting the court house down the street. Now I’m sure I’ll change my review after trying it for s 2ND time but this time… I just wasn’t feeling it. The staff however was AWESOME! Everyone was very vocal in saying hello when I walked in and being engaged in their customers. I ordered a turkey sub and it wasn’t toasted… idk why bi expected it to be but something about the bread reminded me of subway(not in a good way). I ate it because I was starving and I’d rather not waste my hard earned dollars but no probably won’t choose that one again. But on the upside, everything was fresh and the chips were awesome! Jalapeño flavor! Yummmmm I’ll be coming back to try something different and toasted.

Overall, it felt like a lower version of subway and jersey’s mike, Parking: Metered street parking or private parking lots.(there might be city owned parking lots) Note: I visited this location during their $ 1 customer appreciation day. Normally they are $ 6.49 each. Service: Since the long line was out the store and halfway down the street, they had two employees handing out menus and taking orders. Although the line was line, it was no more than 10 – 15 minutes from the back of the line, paying at the cashier, and then picking up your sandwich. The area in front of the cashier is sort of tiny hence we were standing outside. Food: Since their 8inch sandwiches were on sale, I ordered several. #1PEPE® Real applewood smoked ham and provolone cheese garnished with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. #4TURKEYTOM® Fresh sliced turkey breast, topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo.(The original) #5VITO® The original Italian sub with genoa salami, provolone, capicola, onion, lettuce, tomato & a real tasty Italian vinaigrette.(Hot peppers by request) Free extras: Cucumber, Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard, Hot Cherry Peppers, Italian Vinaigrette, Jimmy Mustard, Onions, Oregano, and sprouts. Extras: Avocado Spread, and bacon. They don’t have any small togo containers so I could get oil/vinegar on the side. I tried all of the sandwiches without mayo. Added hot peppers on the side. I prefer to see them making the sandwich and being able to request ingredients during the process. I guess I am used to subway and jersey mikes. I did enjoy them but felt that I would get more at subways. Subway’s sandwiches are a footlong versus their 8 inches. Overall, you cannot beat an 8 inch sandwich for a buck in less than 15 minutes.

Subway’s it’s not. Neither Jersey Mike’s. My kinda place cause they make the sandwiches so fast, by the time you try to find a seat they are calling out your order. Remember to read the menu for fixins’ so you don’t think it’s a boring sandwich. I love em all and will post pics soon

So much for trying to order I was told they don’t come this far… Ok I didn’t realize .08 miles is that far… You just lost a customer

Gentlemen working the register was very friendly and helpful on helping decide on the right size sandwich and beefing it up with the protein. Sandwich was well made and made how i wanted it. Great Jimmy Johns.

«Jimmy finds the right people and then gets them into our company to find the right fit. People are first here. Jimmy serves me, I serve my franchisees and they serve the Jimmy John’s customer.» – James North, President and CEO Right On, Jimmy John! This franchise’s owner, Brandon is one exact fit — personable, humble, and above all, helpful. He does chores regardless of his position, just before Christmas 2015 he was searching for a particular styled gift-card I had requested — during lunchtime. The cards make ideal gifts and Jimmy John’s delivers — even for the lonely, one. Brandon, as I observed leads by example, inspires and fulfills customers desires. His Team, a standout member, is Jennifer, as cashier. They are all eager to explain the menu, and make certain the dining-experience. You can’t go wrong with one other either, he’s the #5VITO® the original Italian sub with genoa salami, provolone, capicola, onion, lettuce, tomato & a real tasty Italian vinaigrette.(Hot peppers by request). The bread beats out their competition just down the block, one subway stop.

Tried Jimmy johns for the first time a few months ago in spokane. To my surprise they just opened one up near my moms house in norco and then i found one newly opened in long beach. The veggie sandwich on wheat was amazing! Prob one of the best veggie sandwiches I’ve ever had. The turkey sub was quite thin and small but it was still very good and not too filling. The bread fresh baked roll was light, soft and chewy but still had a little bit of a crunch to it. Jersey Mikes is still probably one of my faves because I can get a kids meal for $ 5 and they do not skimp on the meat and produce. Jimmy johns is not as generous unless you go with the pricier options but either way I’ll be back.

Subway, Jersey Mike, Quiznos, trust me, not all sandwiches are created alike. So after stirring up some trouble next store at the LBC courthouse, I wanted to find a nearby eatery. Luckily, Unilocal guided me to this new joint and after reading fellow Unilocalers, I had to give it a shop. Walking in, I was greeted with big smiles, I had no idea what to order so I went with the italian night club. It was a solid blend of salami, capicola, ham, provolone all drizzled with a nice vinaigrette. I bit into it and I enjoyed how everything just meshed together on my palate. Unfortunately, the price is a little bit steep, around $ 8 for an 8 inch sub so it’s on the same level as Jersey Mikes. The place had a few seats inside but outdoors is the place to be. It gets pretty packed here for lunch so I think you can just order over the phone and then pick it up instore to save you some time. I like how they make their own cookies and have their own brand of awesome chips. Overall, I enjoyed Jimmy John’s. Is it better than Jersey Mikes? In my opinion, I think Jersey Mikes tastes a little bit better but to each his own. If you are craving for a sub, give JJ’s a try!

If you’ve had 1 sub, you’ve had them all. **Meh**(shrugs shoulders) You have your usual suspects — deli meat of your choice(turkey, roast beef, ham, salami, capicola, bacon or tuna), standard condiments and veggies including cucumber, hot peppers, onion and for a twist, sprouts. Hmmmmmm. +5 points for their quality meat. After all, everyone doesn’t offer capicola. Sounds good, huh? The only drawback to that is they only have 1 choice for cheese, my friends: Provolone. While it’s a nice cheese, sometimes you want a little Swiss or American, maybe cheddar, etc. It’s also important to note that they charge $ 1.00 per slice if it isn’t already included on your sandwich. Ouch! Mighty fine cheese, indeed. They bake their bread, but so does Subway. Jimmy John’s also has«giant club sandwiches» served on thick, sliced bread with double meat or cheese for $ 7.50 a pop. That’s a lot of chewing for anyone who likes that much bread. Bottom line: The sandwiches are okay and on the pricey side. But… given their quality meat and cheese, you get what you pay for. They also deliver(extra fees for that)

8÷12÷15 Jimmy John’s is located right by the courthouse. I walked in here on a Wednesday morning. I was warmly greeted by beautiful people. The sandwiches are made fresh. Don’t let long lines discourage you as the staff members are expeditious pros. There are indoor and outdoor seating. And it also DELIVERS! I enjoyed the artwork on the walls. I loved the theme and energy of this restaurant.

After reading a review by Martini Momma I decided to check this place out for two reasons. 1) The chain is fairly new to California and definitely new to Long Beach; and 2) who does not like to sample deli food … OK … OK … You got me there … my old GF Mindy !! So I decided to go on a Monday when the crowd was not so busy. Right ?? I arrived about 12:20 at the Broadway location across from the Police station and I noticed a couple oddities. There was a waiting line with people lined up outside on the sidewalk slowly moving inside to place their order … Visions of serpentine lines and Disneyland crowds jumbled in my mind as I used my IPhone, signed up for Jimmy Johns Website, and was about to place my order on line, I had reached the teller … Hmmm, not bad … about a 10 minute wait. The other strange thing is there were no police people in the place … Maybe they were looking at it the same way I was … Line out front, a «Disneyesque» wait. Ya! if I were a cop(or Mindy) I would go elsewhere too. But to my surprise the order taking proceeded quickly handling the lunch time crowd. The nice employee asked me what I wanted. I ordered the #9 Italian of which she wrung the tab and told me it would be about 15 minutes! Hey wait. wait. wait a minute … No order number! Not even a name associated like Bill C with a Monica special ?? Her response was no problem they will call with your order when it is ready! Being suspicious, I decided to quickly customize it! Ehh, … Ok. Could you make that on a French roll with cucumber, extra extra peppers and Dijon mustard … Her answer was alright … But, that is an odd combination … Are you sure you want that? Yes! I answered as I pondered being snaked out of my sandwich by someone else and having to reorder 45 minutes later … Nope … I was not going to be «Disneyland duped» this time. 10 minutes later I heard a deep voice ring out from behind the delivery counter as 20 so people anxiously awaited their order to come up. … «We gotts one #9 Italian on a French roll with dijon mustard, cucumber and extra peppers». Of the 20 people in line waiting impatiently most saying«who would order that concoction!». No one came to the front to snake my sandwich! So I grabbed my sandwich, scurried out of there like a pack rat, and let the others dupe themselves in or out of the standard bill of faire. I went down by the Aquarium of the Pacific and had my sandwich while basking in the sunlight of shoreline park. I wondered how Stacy might be enjoying her deli sandwich that she was having at Giuliano’s Deli elsewhere in LA. All I can say is my sandwich was good … The cucumber mustard and pepper combination was primo … And I did not waist an hour or so of my time. So I guess next time I go in I will order the #9 Italian with extra Bill Clinton peppers on a dijon mustard Monica Lewinski french roll topped with added cucumbers. I hope I still get the 10 minute rush hour turn around. It is too bad that Xtina could not join me again … Another meeting … Hey I don’t mind … More money to spend elsewhere This is a great place. Martini Momma, You are right … Although I was a bit worried about waisting time when I first showed up! Anymore recommendations?

So far so good… They came in with samples to our office, and now I’m ordering delivery once a week. Keep up the good work JJ’s! I like the #1 I refuse to try something else. This time I got it loaded with all the freebies, and my my my I must say. Will try the #17 next time
