We were looking for dinner in a pinch and used Unilocal to find Pizzamania. Nice mom and pop feel to the restaurant. The pizza we got was good, not amazing, but I thought the crust was the best part. Very stringy cheese. Would definitely return!

Honestly… good pizza but service always is terrible especially for delivery. Half the time they say«don’t deliver to my address» and the other half it isn’t an issue.(I live 2 miles away). Always have to repeat myself multiple times. This is the neighborhood pizza spot and I want to support it but it’s always a process to order food. If I wanted it to be difficult, I wouldn’t order take out

Pizza’s not bad, but service is f**king rude. I called in asking for a pizza to go. I asked for beef on my pizza(website said they had it), but guy answering abruptly said«we don’t have beef.». Ok fine, so I put different meat. I asked, «how much is it? Is there a lunch special?»(Which the website also mentioned for individual pizza), but he just goes«no»…so I’m like alright, it’s fine I’ll just come in and see what you have, guy hangs up without saying anything. You don’t have to be super polite, but man at least act like you want my business. I’m eating their pizza now out of hunger, but probably won’t be coming back. I haven’t had any issues with the whittier location though.

I was teetering between 3 and 4 stars but decided to give 3. The ingredients are fresh; we got a single pizza with pepperoni and sausage and a drink. The cheese is really stretchy and came off the pizza most of the time. The saucy was tasty and generous. This all came out to ten bucks. For that I would recommend getting a pie and take some to go. My mrs and I shared this together, and for me, it was over kill but didn’t wanna leave one random slice. This place is comparable to deli news right around the corner but deli has a much bigger following from what I can see. I would def come back for my pizza needs if I’m near the rec center but if you want bang for your buck you can get something comparable for cheaper a short drive away.

I work on the other side of the campus but I can tell you it is worth the walk. My goto has been the ½ sandwich lunch special. Fo $ 7.01, you get a ½ sandwich, a bowl for one trip to the salad bar and a cup to help yourself to a drink. Right there, its a better deal than Subway on campus. The salad bar has your standard veggies, minus onions. They also have fake bacon bits and macaroni salad. The surprise is that the salad bar has pepperoni and the cheese they use on the pizzas. You can sort of make yourself a ghetto antipasto salad with that. Drink has your usual selection of sodas and iced tea. What is the star is the sandwich. I got the Italian sub for my half. Unlike Subway, they don’t cut a footlong in half. The serve it on a bun that is half the size of a normal buns. The meat that they use is very thick and it overflows the sub. Salami, pepperoni, ham and mortadella. Thick slice of cheese and Italian dressing and some mayo. You won’t find as many veggies as Subway but who cares? It has the usual lettuce, tomatoes, onions and some wonderful pickles. Not the pickles you would get at 7 – 11 or Subway, but some nice deli pickle slices. Smash that bad boy down and take your first bite of heaven. Its hearty, tangy and immensely satisfying. I sprinkle some of their Parmesan cheese and chili peppers and put a pepperoncini in each bite(you can get some at the salad bar). All for 7 bucks! They take credit cards too!

This place is a hole in the wall pizza joint, which to me are usually the best places to eat. The pizza is actually pretty good, they really know how to pile on the extra pepperoni and cheese:) And their prices are awesome. My only complaint is the customer service, hence the 4 star and not 5. They kinda suck, but their pizza and prices make up for it. All in all, I love this place:)

The best pizza in long beach. I’ve been coming here for years and for good reason. Regardless of what you order it will be delicious. This is no nonsense pizza. Mom and pop pizza. Balls to the walls pizza. No gimmicks, games or BS. Just awesome sauce and your choice of fresh toppings. The sandwiches, wings and salad bar are great too. No complaints there. But my passion runs deep with their pizza. I’m a regular and the staff know my usual; pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeño. Great staff, great service at a great price. Ditch the zero and get with the hero.

Bomb pizza in LBC. One star less than perfect.(The late Jonny’s Pizza in Seal Beach would get 5 stars IMO. Too bad they’re now closed. My hunt for a 5 star pizza continues!)

Came for a quick dinner before a CSULB basketball game next door. Total bill for a medium«special» combination, large one-trip salad bar and pitcher of Stella was just about $ 40. Not bad, but not a giveaway either. Salad bar was fresh, but somewhat limited. Would have liked some tomatoes and kidney or garbanzo beans as well. Medium pizza was substantial– more like a large. To my surprise, I liked the puffy crust edges– crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Would have preferred a wheat option. Flavor was great. Lots of veggies and it seemed like the Canadian bacon provided some nice smokiness. Wish they had other premium beer choices like besides Stella(which tastes like Bud anyway) and Newcastle, such as Sierra Nevada. All in all– too much food for two people. Better for three, which would make the $ 40 tab look more reasonable. Strip mall parking was small, but there were spaces. I could easily see it being 100% full. Definitely crowded on a game night. If that’s your plan, get there early! The two-top tables are too small if you plan to actually eat a pizza you know, like at a pizza place…

This place has gross pizza. Maybe it has great reviews because it is next to a college? Not sure. We were sad that Unilocal led us astray to this place. We tried the cheese slices and pepperoni and both had so much agglutinated cheese with minimal sauce and bad crust.

The mania for Pizzamania is clearly overrated. I came here before 5:30 for their lunch special. It included a slice of pepperoni/cheese pizza, one trip to salad bar and unlimited fountain soda. The cheesy was very gooey and delicious. Sadly that was the best part of the pizza. The crust was soggy and the pizza tasted like cheap pizza from a children’s amusement park or bowling alley. The workers here also seem disinterested in the business and there were flies hovering around the salad bar. No thx anymore Pizzamania!

Both of the times I came to pick up food here I heard the cook shouting offensive racial slurs in Spanish at the customers which is just absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, the food is mediocre at best which is disappointing considering the high price. Our pizza yesterday was soggy and had a burnt crust… I learned my lesson this time and won’t ever be returning.

A solid lunch option, I got an individual sized pizza and it was huge. Definitely enough for 2 people if you’re not starving. I got it with tomato and onion, and let me tell you, that pizza was beautiful. It was cooked perfectly and was super good. I would definitely come back.

*PIZZARECOMMENDED* Rushing to school with an empty stomach, I endured my first class at CSULB, sifting through my options to get an actually delicious, low cost, satisfying meal. The usual university stuff didn’t sound appetizing but then I remembered one of my customers from work recommended this place. So I power walked those Google-estimated«13 minutes», ordered the individual-sized Special($ 9.21 –tax included) and waited(about 8 minutes). The clerk was kind & helpful with my order though not much for conversation(or maybe he was simply concerned for this panting, sweaty customer who obviously lacks any ounce of stamina). The décor of the place was meh, looked okay to hang with friends in. but who cares! Pizza came out, was handed to me by the chef himself(pretty nice), it smelled and looked promising! And it was… Ample and tasty sauce, toppings, crust — and I’m not usually a fan of large crust but it won me with its outer crispiness! FOODISFANTASTIC, SERVICEISPRETTYGOOD.

Came back again — place still sucks — stay away from this overpriced God-forsaken hell-hole… Came back to give them another try. Looks like the prices have gone up and service remains poor. 2 Medium — 1 topping pizzas = $ 28 n change. Really? Now for the food — again the pizzas arent cooked accordingly– one pizza was nearly burnt and the other only had toppings only on one half. Last time im coming back.

The owner is nice The place is cool However, my vegetarian pizza lacked taste /: Only veggies that go on top is tomatoes(why?!), green bell peppers, minimal mushroom, lots of onion … Which are all not cooked /: maybe the mushroom were but I would have liked it more if they all were. The cheese was not that cheesy like fatty yummy cheese that runs. The crust was crunchy… Didn’t care for it. Maybe the other items are great! But not for my vegetarian friends

A co-worker brought in a pepperoni pizza to a potluck meeting. I was the first to pick up a couple slices. It had lost most of it’s warmth on the drive, so I’m not counting that against them. All the ingredients were satisfactory, the sauce was above average. The ingredient that stood out to me the most was the pepperoni. It started with a small burst of saltiness, then slowly I felt the heat of spice which pleasantly lingered on my tongue. Needless to say, I went back for seconds only to find that there were no slices left. Overall, if I find myself in the area, I’ll be coming here to check out the actual venue and experience that wonderful pepperoni.

TERRIBLESERVICE. Arrived at 8:10pm & an employee(said his name was Jose) blocked the doorway with a broom and said were closed, giggled, and walked away. When the sign clearly said closes at 9pm! He walked to answer the phone & paid no attention to the 5 customers standing outside the business. I decided to call since he was paying the people on the phone more attention than the people in front of him. When I called I asked what time do you close, he said 8pm & I asked do you always close at 8 because it says 9pm. He said we close at 8& hung up the phone. I called back and asked for his name and his managers name and he once again, HUNGUP. I called another time and continued to ask for his name or the name of the manager or owner, and he once again HUNGUP. Like I said, TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. The 4th or 5th time I called he said he closed early because the owner said it was too slow so I asked for the owners name and he hesitated for quite some time and only told me the owners first name and wouldn’t tell me his last name. Who blocks the doorway and walks away from paying customers ?! And most importantly who gives attitude and hangs up the phone MULTIPLETIMES& refuses to give the name of the manager or owner of their workplace– BEYONDUNPROFESSIONAL! I don’t care if it is just a small pizza place, that’s rude. WILLNOTRETURN. Much rather go to deli news down the street for much better service and pizza !!!
