Where to start. Sat at the bar and we were greeted and asked the bar tender about the IPAs. We tried one, which the glass had lipstick on, then ordered which beers we wanted. Instead of pouring our beers, the bartender pour four other people’s drinks before ours. We then decided to move to a table to order food and we watched the waitress take orders from 3 tables and ignore us!?? Ohh and the bass for their sound system sucks!

I live close to this bar and I’m so happy to have a chill, friendly, low-key bar in my area amongst all the über-trendy phony places that keep cropping up! The super long bar is awesome because I can always grab a seat; the bartenders are friendly and attentive. I also have tried most of the menu items, they are really yummy, my fave being the breakfast burrito(paired with a bloody mary of course!) Music inside is always good and they usually have special events and a young crowd in there. Also theres a shuffleboard table and some fun games(i once played a giant connect 4… as a drinking game this is amazing.)

Shannon’s is a divey and dingy pub that is a local watering hole for an eclectic crowd. I came for drinks during the afternoon and the place was pretty lively with an entertaining crowd. We decided to sit on the patio since the weather was nice, and the people inside looked sketch. Most of the patrons here were quite older gentlemen who’ve probably been drinking before noon. I mean, no judgements here, but just an observation! The service was friendly, drinks were very well priced, and everyone here seemed to be having a great time. It’s very low-key and non-pretentious. I hear this place brings out a much younger crowd in the evenings.

February 2016: So this bar is usually spectacular but this day the bartenders were slow. We didn’t have the fast women who usually run it. Very disappointed tonight. Still got a strong drink at least they hold up to their style . May 24th2016: Today a security named Johnny kicked me and my service animal out. You Lost a regular, plus there’s so many more dog friendly bars to get turnt at. My dog clearly had her service vest I even gave the workers an ADA Law card that explained my service animals responsibilities and rights to be anywhere the public is allowed.

Me and some buddies came here very late at night(roughly midnight) after leaving a club venue that’s almost next-door. We wanted to have drinks since the club we were at was extremely whack and a horrible experience. Shannon’s on Pine was on our walk back to our vehicle so we decided to stop in. We were promptly greeted at the bar upon arrival and the barista asked us if we knew would we wanted — we did. We ordered our drinks and begin to converse with the bartender. She had moved out to LA not too long ago it was astonished by the traffic and how her commute from Torrance was extremely burdensome so she was looking for a place to move in Long Beach. We recommended some areas while she made her drink and continue to converse. Our drinks for perfect and along with her conversation we had a great, yet simple time over one drink late at night. We plan to gladly come back here on another night to have great drinks and conversation with the friendly barista.

Shannon’s is still a great place to come and have drinks. On the Friday night when we came here, the place was packed with hipsters and bar flies. The drinks were flowing and the vibe was nice. I highly recommend starting, ending or having your evening here!

Stopped by this place on a Saturday night and it was fairly dead. We noticed the place was under construction and that the downstairs was closed and the pool table looked like it was off-limits. Service was just okay, our bartender clocked out after pouring our drinks and never bothered opening a tab for us, could of just left but we waited while the relief sorted through our order. First impression is just a hole-in-the-wall pub, nothing too special about the place.

We’ve been here twice. Service has been hit and miss, but just hunt someone down when you’re ready to order. Portions are large, so it’s good for sharing. We were here on New Years Day and service was slow though it wasn’t crowded. There was an elderly couple thoroughly enjoying fish n chips, beer, and a sandwich, so I used it as my pay it forward moment and grabbed their check. We moved to the area, so we will likely be returning on a semi-frequent basis.

Definitely a pub style location. I digged it. They have good drinks and food! Very casual and relaxed environment. Good for a chill night. The location is pretty roomy and it doesn’t get too insanely packed.

Here on St. Patty’s day. NO corned beef in an Irish bar. They only had a buffet from earlier today and of course it’s all gone. There is like three bartender serving bar and tables — sooo understaffed especially today. Service slow as shit! Food sucks.

I like coming over here. All the staff are very friendly. Drinks are cheap and they make it strong. One of my favorite go to spot every time I’m down in this area.

Pub style atmosphere, friendly bartenders, good service, delicious food. I come here to watch the UFC fights. Cover charge about $ 10-$ 15 depends on the fight. Make sure to come early to find a seat. They also have shuffle board and a pool table.

Nasty bar — very loud, aggressive male clientele. The women are surprisingly nice, flirtatious and friendly. The staff is courteous, quick and frankly seem out of place for this bar. Strange vibe. Everything is great except the guys! The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. A gas station on he way to Vegas of the 15 is 4 stars comparatively.

This is the home of the American Outlaws Long Beach chapter, supporters for the U.S. national soccer teams. I was here last night since this bar was the night before party location, a tradition for us anytime we have a match(USA vs Canada is today at StubHub Center). I should note there are different permits for the street level vs downstairs so you cannot order on the street level and then take your alcoholic beverage downstairs. I ordered a hard apple cider(don’t know what brand), and it was $ 6.50/pint. Pear hard cider was also another option. Parking can be somewhat tricky. There’s a parking garage about a block down on your left off of Broadway, before the next intersection. You’ll see a yellow«P.» I was told it was $ 5, but it was actually $ 6(flat rate), cash or credit. That’s still not bad for the L.A. area. I thought the street level bar was okay, and service was somewhat prompt. Downstairs has a pretty wide open space. I can see why the setup is great for a large amount of people. The owner let us bang pinatas(Canadian flag, soccer ball, & Sepp Blatter) with a baseball bat and didn’t seem to mind if us drunkards hit the metal railing along the stairwell. How cool is that???

Good place to watch a game, grab a beer, eat some amazing bar food, and hang out with a lively crowd. Nice collection of pretty waitresses too. Whether at a booth or at the bar, TV’s are very visible at all angles. Service was slow but friendly the second time there but it was understood as it was s busy Thursday night football game. Third time was the best. Hot wings were fat & juicy with a good dose of Franks hot on them. The tacos were excellent & we tried the 12 taco platter mixed up kinds of tacos. All of them were great. Definitely get the chips & guacamole to get started. Fresh taste to boost. Would be nice if the beer selection was bigger but I was happy drinking what I wanted. Happy hour prices were awesome at $ 3.75 for pints. Coming back again if I visit Long Beach.

I should have checked in to get a free drink. Lol. They have shuffle board and a pool table. A juke box, and tables inside and outside. The people who come in here are sketchy at times, but the bartenders do a great job in monitoring the age of people who enter and keeping people calm. The bathrooms are dirty, but they at least had seat covers. I drank water, but my friends said the drinks were good. I won in shuffle board. Lol.

A friend of mine had flown in from Australia from Ink ‘n’ Iron and was desperate for a stiff drink after his fourteen hour flight. Not being a Long Beach local I whipped out my Unilocal app and located Shannon’s On Pine which was only a short walk from our hotel and seemed to fit our requirements– Serve hard liquor before 11am and don’t you judge us please! We fell in love with this place! Because it was so early it was very quiet so the bar girl came and had a big chat to us whilst she was serving, she poured strong drinks and also helped us out when we wanted something different but didn’t know what. Her Blueberry Vodka martini’s were delicious! Would definitely recommend coming here and if I am ever down Long Beach way again I will be stopping by.
