Proper candy shop with plenty of options. Big brand options are plentiful. There are quite a few hand made chocolate options(chocolate covered bacon, jalapeños, nuts, etc) but the chocolate they use isn’t the best tasting stuff, kinda plain Jane. Cool stuff like candied insects(yes real insects). Overall a great place to drop in.

This is the best little candy shop I have ever seen! Exhaustive selection of nostalgic and creative sweets. Fudge, truffles, all things Jelly Belly, 100 flavored of saltwater taffy, and chocolate covered anything(bacon, bugs, jalapeños, etc)

They have everything! Taffy, chocolates, fudge, hard candies, ice cream, etc. If you want something sweet they will not let you down. What they are missing is an air conditioner. It was so humid in there I have no idea how those ice cream servers could keep moving. Anyway, definitely a must visit. We bought the grandkids chocolate«rocks.» That was fun to watch their little minds grind on eating rocks. :)

So there are two things you always want to try when visiting the coast: salt water taffy or clam chowder. This is quite a popular, cute, little candy shop. I admit that some of these candies seem a little overpriced. We came here on the fourth of july and the shop was packed. It was hard to even walk through the aisles. There is a ton of flavors of taffy here! We grabbed a lot of random flavors that sounded good and headed out. While we walked around and headed to the beach, I pulled a piece of taffy out to try it. I was shocked at how gooey the taffy was just minutes after leaving the shop. After going home and putting it in the fridge for a while, I definitely recommend the lemon flavor. The other flavors were good, but didn’t have that tangy punch that the lemon flavor had

The family and I have to hit this place every time we go to Long Beach. They have the best selection of every candy you can imagine. I have had sea foam from many different candy stores but they have the best hands down. They also have my wife’s favorite Willy Wonka’s bottle caps which are getting harder to fine. You have to check them out if you are down there and cure a little of your sweet tooth.

This candy shop has been around for so long and continue to make the most delicious sweets! The fudge is my favorite!!! They make it all in the house and even give free samples! Adorable little shop and friendly employees and environment! Everyone could use a little chocolate, so stop by!

Loved the nostalgic feel of this candy shop. They have an ENTIRE wall of salt water taffy flavors… Very impressive. We tried a few samples of their fudge flavors(salted caramel vanilla, salted caramel chocolate and maple bacon) and they were all delicious. Gal behind the counter was super friendly too!

The stars are for the yummy chocolate. The missing starts are for having a 5 dollar minimum charge. Also because I was carded even though I was using a debit.

I’m not a big fan of sugar candy or saltwater taffy, but I do like browsing around in olde-tyme candy shops. The Candy Man is just that — a small, cozy shop crammed full of old-fashioned and hard-to-find candies, plus fudge, taffy, chocolate, and novelty candies. In addition to the dozens of bins of taffy, they had nostalgic favorites like candy and bubble gum cigarettes, Mallo Cups, Idaho Spuds, and more. The glass cases in back had chocolate truffles, chocolate-nut«paws»(similar to turtles, I think), and weird stuff like chocolate-covered jalapeño peppers and bacon. They sell fudge by the pound and carry some of those gigantic novelty gummies in various shapes(including bodily organs!). If that’s too weird, they also sell Jelly Belly and M&Ms by the pound up front. The store is not huge and the aisles are pretty tight, so be ready to squeeze past your fellow shoppers in order to see everything. The employees were friendly and helpful, and offered samples of the fudge. The prices seemed comparable to other specialty candy stores, i.e., somewhat spendy but where else are you going to find these items. I didn’t see anything that I felt compelled to try, but the many kids in there were enthralled by all the strange new varieties of sugary sweets. A good place to look if you’re trying to track down a specific olde-tyme brand, or bribing kids for good behavior.

Best local for a sugar fix! All kinds of candies and many hard to find candies as well. I love this place! We go even just to see what’s ‘new’, like the 27 lb gummy bear! If your in LB be sure to make a stop. You will be glad you did.

I am a taffy aficionado, so when I found out that this store had 100 flavors of taffy, I was psyched to check it out. I bought four lbs of taffy, trying most of the flavors. I’m saddened to report that their taffy has the wrong consistency. It’s gooey, without substance or chewiness. And the flavors are, well, vague. The blackberry doesn’t taste like blackberry. It just tastes kind of sweet. The store is packed full of stuff. The people who work there are as kind as kind can be, but I wish that they took candy as seriously as their store seems to imply.

This place has a little bit of everything. We scoured other stores in longbeach for sugar free candy. And this was the only place we found any. But, we found a pretty good selection of sugar free goodies!

Huge selection of candy and treats! The owner is very cool, and really makes it a fun experience for you. The weirdest things I’ve ever seen are here: chocolate covered bacon, twinkies, jalapeños, footlong gummy worms, Tequila flavored suckers with a worm, cricket & larvae snacks. Just crazy! Whole walls covered with M&M’s & Jelly Beans — it was so cool! Definitely a place you have to stop by when you’re in town :)

Wow, is this place is a blast from the past! Pop Rocks, Zotz, Laffy Taffy, it’s all here. There’s also a great selection of truffles, salted caramels, and other types of chocolates – including chocolate covered jalapeños, Twinkies, and bacon! There’s an entire wall of salt water taffy flavors. Everything from the traditional«licorice swirl» to «butter.» hmm. They were playing the Cure. ’nuff said.

3.5 stars. Came here for the saltwater taffy but spent a little bit of time browsing the different kinds of fudge, cases of truffles and other chocolates, and other random candies(Hello Kitty Jelly Bellys, candy cigarettes, etc). Prices were good — six of us getting 2 – 3 goodies for about $ 20.
