Tommy’s Express Carwash

Tommy’s is a great place to get your car washed. Lately there is a guy next to the car wash who restores headlights. He uses clear coat to protect the lens and says it will last up to a year. I know guys who only buff the headlights, but it lasts a couple of months. This guy does a great job and ONLY charges $ 15. He says he is usually there from 10:00 am until 2:00pm every day but Sunday. He is also a mobile service, but charges a little extra. Meet him at Tommy’s, it’s worth the drive.

Tommy’s car wash located on Santa Fe and Willow is a pretty good car wash for only $ 5 a minimum you can get your whole car wash right hand drive and have a free vacuum well all nice spotless clean very good for the environment

I love going to this particular drive-​thru car wash. It’s a quick and convenient car wash, at least for me. Vacuum is free if you do the car wash and it gives you plentiful of time to do it. Either vacuum before or after the wash. Your preference. You just need to inform one of the men working.
Compared to other drive-​thru car wash, this one has a manual pre-​rinse where they hose your car down. Also, someone soaps up the entire car & brushes all the tires.
Don’t forget to put your car on neutral as you do the wash! Very important to pay attention to signs and anyone signaling you because they get very busy. Don’t mess with their flow. They even have 2 people wiping down at the end to dry your car including tires. I hate water stains left afterwards when I go to other car wash locations. Here, they take everything seriously and do an amazing job from beginning to end.
Lastly, they have stamp cards! Come in 9 times and get the 10^th free!
Highly recommend it. I’ve been coming here ever since they opened. They keep my truck & benzie shiny and feeling new every time!
Don’t forget to tip them at the end. They deserve it! (Open your door, do NOT put your window down LOL. this happened once to me. It’ll only leave water marks)

Got my car washed there today. And after it was washed i found scratch marks on my trunk door and my back window from the machine there. Some scratches are deep. And a bunch of water spots on my Windows.

Don’t bother going here, they leave water spots everywhere.

The price is great at $ 5.00 plus they give you free vacuuming. Beware of 2 things:
1. The brushes stay dirty so beware if you have an expensive car. I have a piece-​of-​crap so it doesn’t matter much.
2. The system does not clean well so check your car afterwards. If you are not satisfied, they will let you run through again. I had some bird poop that did not come off on the first try.

Decent. I paid $ 7 for the works, but you have to do your own vacuuming. I would pay a few more dollars for vaccum, but that’s just me. If ypu have the time and don’t mind, it’s a good wash for the price.

Service was fast and the workers really pay attention to you… something must be good about it since there’s always a line of cars waiting. Only problem for me is that the couple of times I’ve been there, spots are always left and it’s not attractive.

This is probably the most inexpensive car wash you will find, and it definitely does the job! You can choose from the 3 different levels, ranging between $ 5 and $ 7 — so even if you get the highest quality one, it is still a great deal.
Sometimes there is a bit of a line, but it never takes too long to get through it. A guy will come up to your window, you pay for the wash you want, and he puts a mark on your window so they know which one you paid for. Before you go in the drive thru, they spray down your car to get a bunch of the initial dirt off your car. Then, you go through! At the end, a couple guys dry off your car, which is also where you can tip.
At this point, this is where I find this car wash to be a bit tricky. After they dry you off, you are pretty much pulling onto Santa Fe, which is fine if you don’t want to take advantage of the free vacuum. But I’ve never been able to maneuver my way to the vacuums without completely leaving the cash wash, and pulling back in. This isn’t the end of the world, just a bit inconvenient. I wonder if anyone else has this problem. But this being said, the vacuums are great and free, you just have to get one of the guys to turn them on for you. Overall, this is a very solid car wash, and its a great value for how inexpensive it is.

Worth the $ 5. Not the most in depth car wash but this works for me!

I was very optimistic about this car wash. I have a new 2014 BLACK car and was ready for my first car wash! It was very busy, but i went thru quickly (it stopped mid-​way thru for a few minutes?). You go thru a mechanical system, and then you are out and two guys are drying your car. I asked where the vacuum was and the guy pointed me OUT of the parking lot. Upon further examination, i found them back in the lot, but i would have had to wait in line and try to navigate between cars to get in and out… no thanks! When i got back to my home, i saw LOTS of water spots (really visible on a dark car) and still spots of bird ^&**%)*&^ on the top of the car. What’s worse, there seems to be a lot of ‘micro scratches’ on my car, maybe from the mechanical washing?
I won’t use them again with lots of other highly rated options out there.

$ 5 car wash. At first I got a little hesitant but I was running alot of errands and cannot do the car wash my self so I tried it and boy I am happy I did :) there were 3 cars ahead of me but the wait is not long. They start with a manual wash with 2 people then a power wash as you go inside the tunnel and air drier then a guy manually dries the car for you. It is a pretty decent car wash. I got home and all I did was spray turtle wax to keep my car shiny. They have other services that onky cause 7 $ really affordable :) highly recommender for those who are in need of a quick but awesome car wash. Free vacuum when you pull over!

It’s super cheap ($ 5 – 7) for a wash, but expect to borrow towels to dry your car when it’s busy because they don’t take the time to dry it completely. Also, you can use their vacuums to vacuum your own car. I bet they would do a better job during less peak times, but overall, it was a good wash for the price!

Definitely worth every penny! For the price of $ 5 and speedy service, you would think it would be one of those crappy express carwash places but not this one! They power wash your car before you go into the wash to wash away the big gunks. You go through the machine for about 3 – 4 minutes then there’s an automatic air dry plus an additional hand dry by two guys at the end. From waiting in line including the carwash, I was there for a total of 14 minutes. Vacuums are also free if you pull around to the side if you have extra time. If you’re looking for a place that’s quick and quality wash, come to Tommy’s Express Carwash!
I don’t think they take cards so bring cash! Also, don’t be stingy and tip the workers!

Tommy’s is a great place to get a carwash at a great price.
The soap is lathered onto your car by hand by two guys who wear those giant mittens. After that your car goes through the automated process that puts more soap, mops around with giant strips of cloth, then has a bunch of wax dropped on it, and everything gets rinsed off. At the end two more guys hand dry your car’s exterior by hand with towels.
Vacuums are free and self service. You just need to get a guy to turn it on for you. You can do it before or after they wash.
Prices are as follows:
$ 5 — wash and rinse
$ 6 — wash and rinse with sealer wax
$ 7 — wash and rinse and undercarriage (M-​Th this also includes free tire dressing)
I guess you have to ask for a car wash stamp coupon, I did not get one.
Only downside is they only have like 3 vacuums so you have to hope there isn’t a lot of people when you go.

Not so good. Paid $ 7 and everyone gets the same type of wash. Wont waste my money again

I went to get my car washed and there were 2 cars in front of me and it seriously only took like 5 mins.
$ 5, $ 6, and $ 7 washes you can’t beat it. They prep your car before you go into the wash with a scrub down, then you go through, then you air dry, then another guy hand drys what’s left. All with great attitudes and super quick.
it was my first time and I told the guy that I live not too far and I had heard good things and he gave me an extra stamp on my stamp card.
Oh yeah did I forget to mention the stamp card, with 10 washes you get one free. I already got 2!
Def worth checking out for $ 5.
Oh and please tip, these guys work hard for tips.

This car wash is cheap and awesome! I went for the works package for seven bucks and they literally wash the car all the way through the car wash for you.
On the way out a couple of guys hop on your car with towels and get all the rest of the water off of your car. Once they are done with your car you are sitting right on the parking lot and you cruise out the Santa Fe exit.
I would say that the total time I spent in there with a small line of 5 cars ahead of me was 15 minutes maximum. It might have been faster but time sure did go by quickly. I have never seen a car wash with such good service for such a low price. I must hang out on this side of Long Beach more often and see what other kinds of deals that I can find.

I didn’t realize how great this place was until I went to other places. It is super cheap and the people here are really hard workers. It’s a block away from work, so I come here whenever I’m too lazy to do it myself (which is a lot.)
They pre-​soap your car and get in all the nooks and crannies, tape down your windshield wipers and hand dry your car even after the machine blow dries it.
Due to the popularity though, it does get quite crowded during peak hours and you usually have to hunt down someone to turn on the vacuums for you.
