Trader Joe’s

Um, first of all WHO doesn’t love Trader Joe’s? This place is literally the gateway to all of my favorite food. (Healthy and not so healthy… ;-))
Specifically, this Trader Joe’s in Long Beach is conveniently placed off of the ⁴⁰⁵⁄₂₂ freeway, Studebaker exit, as well as right at the end of the very popular area, Belmont Shores.
The employees here are always so nice and helpful. The shelves are usually always stocked and replenished, and the people that shop here seem to have a happy vibe. To top it off, TJ’s is BY FAR the best and most affordable place to get beautiful flowers for any occasion. Forget the flower shop, take me to TJ’s!
Even though the lines can occasionally feel like you’re waiting to ride space mountain at Disneyland with no fast pass, this grocery store is totally worth it. Thank you Joe. We love you.

This trader joes has more space than other location in the are. It makes shopping easier as it sometimes gets crowded and can bump into carts and grandmas. They are very efficient about organizing the store and keeping everything fresh just like other stores. Great job!!!

This is a very nice TJ’s store, the staff is always friendly, polite and helpful. The location is on a very convenient place plenty of park available.
The prices on the vegetables are very reasonable i like to get my organic veggies from here like KALE, Moringa and spinach for my juices and they are very fresh always.
I get a lot of items from here like fluoride free toothpaste, and beer, my snacks, pasta and hand soap.

I love Trader Joe’s!:) Now residing in Long Beach prior to living up in the Bay Area. This is the most convenient Trader’s I shop at and one of their bigger stores:) I also go to the one on Atlantic Avenue:) The employees are super nice here! I forgot my bread after leaving since my bags were full the cashier brought me by bread I forgot:) Super nice he walked out to the parking lot:) Also another nice lady cashier caught a packaging error when I bought some Brie she noticed it was opened and got me a new one that was fresh:)

I used to shop elsewhere thinking it was too expensive (because they have healthier options). The truth is that their prices are better than the chain market places, the variety and quality of their products are much better too.
Super convenient location by the mall, allows me to run at lunch time from work and grab a yummy salad (they’ve got great selections– my fave is «Harvest grilled chicken») the prices for the salads are great too. They are always fresh and better tasting than the ones I’ve tried from Vons.
I also love their flower/​plant section. All their cards are only a dollar (they’re so unique and cute). Have I mentioned how happy and friendly all the employees are? Super speedy too.
Yep, can’t say enough good things about Trader Joe’s, love this place.

Always a good selection on everything. Great for the snacks that you can’t get anywhere else.

The standout of this Trader Joe’s is the staff who work here. They are exceptional. Very friendly, energetic, and always willing to help. It’s refreshing to walk into a store and everyone who works there actually seems to want to be there. It makes a difference in the shopping experience surprisingly. As far as the actual store, it’s a bit small and I personally don’t think it has the most selection. However, it is well kept, clean, and organized.

I like this trader joes better than the one on Atlantic because there’s actually parking here and it’s across the street from an In and Out. It’s pretty much always packed here but the lines move quickly and the cashiers are always friendly.

I love Trader Joe’s. They only problem I really have with them is that there are none within 15 minutes of my home. This TJ’s has a large parking lot and is easy to access. The store is pretty large and the aisles are room as well. I saw a list of the best TJ items you should buy (i.e. black bean & cheese taquitos, chai tea latte mix, Hatch chile mac & cheese, churro bites, and the speculoos crunchy cookie butter), so I’ll try them out and update my review later.
The pricing of the items are reasonable compared to other grocers. In fact, many of the things I bought like mustard, mayo, and peanut butter are well below the norm. They also charge you a dime for bags if you need them, but that’s fine by me. Overall, TJ’s is a great place to shop with great employees and food. Just build one by my house, so you could take my money.

The people and products are great.
But save some portion of your life and don’t go on a Sunday. It’s stupid busy on Sunday.

i think this trader joe’s may be an older store, something about the store just doesn’t feel right… everything just feels a little run down. i was looking for the 5-​layer tip and it was out by 6:00 pm saturday… and none was in stock.
all in all, i wasn’t vibing with this tj’s location.

I was headed to a friend’s dinner party and decided that I should bring them something so I stopped by to grab a bottle of wine. Trader Joe’s sells more than just the two-​buck Chuck. They have a great selection for everyone’s budget and palette. This location is in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking. The lines weren’t too long when I was there. The layout of the store is a little different than my local one but it’s still easy to navigate. I was happy to find a nice wine to bring to dinner and we all enjoyed it. It’s nice to see the stores in different areas of SoCal.

Parking is nuts, store is packed but they have ample employees working and the waits aren’t too bad. This is my second favorite trader’s, after Whittier.

Friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. That’s usually a given at TJ’s, but still appreciated!
Usually fully stocked, at least when I go.
I just love Trader Joe’s. Have been shopping there almost exclusively for 11 years and I always feel like family.

This, like most other TJ’s locations offers a nice selection of fresh produce, pre-​packaged TJ brand items, frozen foods, and wine. We enjoy their lower price points and generally buy most of our staple items here: milk (no antibiotics!), yogurt, Kefir, eggs, meat etc. The employees are always helpful and they are super kid-​friendly. Our son loves finding the stuffed animal they hide in the store — if your child finds it and tells the person at the Cust Svc counter, they will get a free organic lollipop. The cashiers also usually offer our kidlet stickers as we’re checking out.
The parking is usually crowded since this shopping center houses a lot of other stores/​businesses. Great employees, 100% satisfaction hassle-​free return policy, free samples (you can also ask any employee if you can try something and they’ll gladly open it for you to taste), and interesting variety of foods keep us coming back. I love Trader Joe’s — there are some pretty unique items and it’s well priced. I could spend hours just looking at all of the unique items here. I always get my weekly essentials here — bagged spinach, bagged kale, baby carrots, milk, eggs, sweet potatoes, peanut butter, and bananas here. Always around only $ 20!
But, my gripe with this location is that you need to be very careful about checking the expiration date on products. On three occasions, I have bought bread here only to discover once I got home that it was expired/​within a few days of expiration. I most recently got a bag of English muffins that weren’t expired, yet mold grew on it within a day of me bringing them home. I was not pleased. Yes, I know that TJ’s would refund me for them, but it is quite aggravating when you have just had a rigorous work out and have been looking forward to that post-​work out English muffin only to discover that it is moldy. Not cool!
Also, the workers seem to be hit or miss here. Some are very friendly, others are not. This location is pretty busy, so I guess that would explain why some of them are not so friendly.

Disappointed in quality of premade salads in past 6 months. Even when the expiration date is 3 – 4 days away. Lettuce is brown and limp. I used to buy them regularly– last night was the worst yet and I won’t buy again. HORRIBLENESS — threw out the lettuce and ate the nuts and beets.
Love traders but quality control is slipping badly.

Very similar to all the other Trader Joes you’ve been to. Seems like it’s a bit smaller than some of the other places but you can still get all your staples here.
Parking is great. Closest location to CSU Long Beach and ⁶⁰⁵⁄₄₀₅ interchange.

Why 5 stars? Because their products are all around better than other stores of same like. Their ready made items, whether it be in the frozen section or the fridge section, are very good. Some items I’ve noticed are better tasting than what you would find at some restaurants.
Because there is a high turnover of customers throughout the day, having stocked shelves are very crucial. Especially when you’re have a craving for a particular item. Traders Joes is on it. Employees are continually slicing open boxes, filling and packing all those open spaces, ready for the next hungry shopper.
The prices are also very reasonable in comparison to other similar stores, as well as the supermarkets. I’ve noticed I can save at least 30% on the avg.
This location is prime, as it nestled amongst other well known establishment. In addition to being located next to a major intersection, it’s also conveniently close to the freeway. Even though it appears they have a large parking lot, it is shared with many other businesses. So be patient looking for a spot, as someone pulls in, there’s always someone pulling out in a matter of a few minutes.
Great location, great prices, great tasting products, well stocked shelves, friendly, helpful and efficient employees. This is my go to store.

TJ’s… my home away from home and the only grocery store I go to. I love everything here, from the coffee & coffee creamer to the raw nuts to the salads, juices and smoothie items… the frozen pizzas rock as does that amazing cowboy bark (best frozen!!!). The employees are super nice at this location and I’ve learned to love this store as it’s on my way home from surfing Bolsa or the Cliffs in HB. This store is much more spacious than most but even so it can get crazy. All in all, I don’t mind the occasional cart ankle jabb because at the end of the day seeing my fridge full of TJ’S items makes me one happy girl!!!
