Nice place, good food. Lounge area is good for big groups to dine in. Food is a bit expensive. Since i’m a vegetarian i had their veggie dumplings and spinach fried rice. My husband had sweet and sour pork, which he said was good too.

Been here before for the late night happy hour. Really good food over all. Good happy prices. Tonight we got the garlic spicy edimonie beans and they are so good. Must get! I was gonna give them a 5/almost a 3 because of our waitress. She literally was a ghost the whole night. Only came by to get our order, drop our food off and the give us the check.

I’m in love with this place. From The moment you step into the restaurant is a positive aura. The level of service, the serving platters the linen and the high-quality food is what I look for.

I would of rated it a five if the server had come by a bit more. I however understand if she was extremely busy, it being a Friday night. However, we ordered two bottles at different times and she had other people open them for us, she came by to pour waters once in a great while, I rarely saw her. The food and drinks were spot on though.

Place was dim and mellow good for a nice date. Food is average tasting with a bit of a high price. Sushi is definitely way over priced as well as the drinks so you might consider going during happy hour to get a good deal. Our waiter was great and very attentive wish I would of gotten his name to give him kudos. Over all we had a good experience!

It’s hard to find a good Asian restaurant in Long Beach. I think this might be my favorite one downtown at least. I enjoy their wonton soup and garlic chicken. I am a bit suspicious that the white rice their serve is not fresh. Often times it is hard and dry. However, overall I enjoy the flavors of their dishes!

Went for a late dinner, it was actually their lounge happy hour time, the main dining areas were all closed. I like Wokcano, like the Asian fusion menu, good and extensive items. Started with Ginseng mule and draft Sapporo, they were tasty. The raw: Seared salmon with fish eggs, yellowtail jalapeño ponzu, Kumamoto oysters, sea urchin sushi and albacore tuna sashimi: all of them were fresh and tasty, yellowtail jalapeño was particularly good. Filler: Crab meat fried rice: ohMY, the very best fried rice I have ever had! Generous amount of crab meat with light but nice flavors, it was SOGOOD! Both hubby and I loved it! The only dish that was not good was spicy tuna on crispy rice, very little spicy tuna, crispy rice was so mushy. Better not to order this next time. Our dinner was quick cause we had somewhere else to be, but it was the perfect late night eats, our server was very friendly and attentive, we will definitely be back soon! Ps. They validate the promenade parking, it’s free for 2 hours.

Their love boat sushi is simply amazing. $ 50 well worth of sushi. Really fresh fishes and ingredients. The salad and soup that come with the Loveboat are really delicious. I would recommend take out because the restaurant is too dark and the music too loud. However the sushi is just amazingly fresh. The service is not as well as it should be for a hyped restaurant.

Since their prices are a wee bit steep, this is a special occasion type of dining option. Well, steep for me but I should probably hit their happy hour to get better value. Anyhow with that said, here are a few of my favorite things: — Uni $ 8. Their uni is always seemingly fresh and good quality. — Honey Walnut Shrimp $ 17. I try not to eat shrimp for a variety of reasons, but I’ll always surrender to this. — Korean Style Short Rib $ 19. I also prepare this from scratch, but when I don’t feel like marinating overnight, this is where I get my KBBQ fix locally. Short and sweet, where you get good Asian eats! But if they reduced the price, that would be reallllly nice.

The first time my partner and I walked in we were quickly greeted by the hostess. There is a dining area most suited for first dates or family gatherings and a lounge/bar to hang out or watch games in. We stayed at the bar and lounge and the interior is very nice and modern with a dark gray black feel to it. Lighting is spectacular and dim and windows were nice and huge enough to watch the city cars pass through. It has an incredible amount of seating but floors look like they may need some work. Whoops never mind they look like a mahogany dark oak vintage finish look to it. Waiter was nice and gave great customer service. Now let’s start with the food. I ordered the pan seared chicken dumplings and my partner ordered the young chao fried rice. My dumplings were good but the ponzu sauce is way better. I honestly think that if it was seared just a little more it would have been perfect. The young chao fried rice is so amazing and and delicious. It has beef, chicken, and shrimp. Like your average Chinese fried rice but the setting to eat this in is awesome. It’s best to come here during happy hour for some amazing deals. Orange Chicken is over portioned! Nobody tell the owner! But ask for extra broccoli. Can’t wait to order the rest of the menu!

I was there on a work lunch and enjoyed a lunch special. Loved the side salad, the inside out spicy tuna roll, the spicy edamame was nice. The salmon was also nice. Glad we had a quick lunch meet here, plan on hitting up their happy hour!

Let me start off that happy hour runs until 11:30! Most drinks and food runs around $ 5 during happy hour. Food us absolutely delicious they make all types of Asian cuisine to Chinese Japanese and Thai. They’re rolls are delicious but very tiny. You would have to order more than just one plate to get full. But other than that the service was great and the food and drinks are even better.

Ate happy hour options with my boyfriend. I distinctly remember the honey walnut shrimp, MA Po Tofu, and some rolls. Delicious and good portions. If you want happy hour, you must sit in the lounge area. Staff was nice, service a bit slow but it’s okay, the food made up for it. Will come back next time we are back in the area :)

I’ve been here a couple of times for lunch with my coworkers. In general, I like the food here. The place is nice, it’s clean and the food tastes pretty good. They have lunch specials that are decently priced for the area as well. My only complaint is that the service tends to be slow. Their attitudes seem to be good as far as they are not mean or anything. Just slow. Both times I’ve been here, I’ve had to ask several times for a refill on my water and they didn’t check up on us as often as other places do. It seems I have to flag them down by forcing eye contact and waving my hands in the air. As far as the food, I do like the shishito peppers and the shrimp and asparagus with black bean sauce. The lunch specials come with a small side salad with fried wontons My coworkers like this place, so I’d probably come back here again. It’s just the service that’s a disappointment.

Wokano has a Vegan Kung Pao Chicken and it’s pretty legit. The vegan chicken is mixed with asparagus, onions, and peanuts in a spicy-ish sauce. But WOW, the $ 15 price tag! First impression of the dish looked like a small serving. But as I continued to dig into it, it was actually a much larger serving than I expected. Along with a side of brown rice($ 1), it fed me for two meals and a big snack: Also, their online ordering system is super easy! I’m a fan :)

This Wokcano location is located in the downtown area of Long Beach. It’s about a block East of Pine Ave. I came here for an early dinner one night. It was pretty dark when you walk into the place, but it seemed pretty nice. The place was completely empty and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. //SERVICE // The service was pretty good for the most part. I mean they had more staff than customers at the time… //FOOD // Love boat: This sushi boat feeds two people and it was definitely a lot of food. The Love Boat comes with 10 pieces of assorted sushi, 10 pieces of assorted sashimi, rainbow roll, spicy yellowtail roll and 2 spicy tuna hand rolls. The quality of the sashimi here is pretty sad. It’s what you can expect from a place like this. The boat comes with miso soup and the house salad for each person. $ 49 Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the food here at Wokcano. I honestly didn’t walk in here with high expectations and the overall experience was pretty mediocre. Will I be back? Most likely not, unless I feel like coming here to drink for HH.

I’ve only ever been here for the late night lounge menu and not for actual dinner which is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. The food I’ve tried here so far is really good and the lounge is great for food, drinks and music. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable. If you’re out on a Friday or Saturday and are looking for a cool place to chill with drinks and food; this is the place. Dinner 12/15/2012
