Perfect little bakery it’s so cute inside. I have held a few events here and everything was perfect! The Nutella crepes are so good! Also the gelato is amazing!

Beware. The second star is purely for the convenience factor for guests of the Bungalow Hotel who have toddlers that wake up at 6:30 am and need coffee and breakfast while trying to let their spouse sleep in. While there is huge variety, the food tastes horrible. Even the coffee only gets two stars(the second earned solely for caffeination). The cappuciono did not even have foam. As others have said, this place smells nothing like your favorite bakery or even fresh cookies out of your oven.

On my first vacation to the Jersey shore, we stopped in for coffee & a croissant, but saw a baker frosting the most beautiful chocolate cake. The coffee was very good & the croissant, light with a hint of butter. Hours later, we returned to buy sweets, but that same chocolate(mousse) cake was in the case, calling us! And we’re so glad it did! It was delicious and a trip to Long Branch isn’t complete without something from CBR. Kudos also to the women running the shop-friendly, and very customer oriented!

I stopped in and had a coffee and some cookies. The café au lait was good. The décor is cute and has sa cheerful feel. I am sure in the summer this place is hopping with all of the pier village visitors. I had two cookies with my coffee and they were ok, not great. I would give them another chance. There are a few tables inside where we sat and as m enjoyed our snack.

I don’t know why there are such bad reviews for this cute little dessert spot. They have everything from coffee to crepes and a lot in between. Decadent mini cakes(we tried the carrot), cake pops, eclairs and cupcakes, cookies and brownies to name a few. The blueberry bar was one of the best we have tried. The 2 young men working were extremely helpful and very courteous. We will definitely be returning one night for an after dinner treat as they’re open pretty late.

If you are walking in Pier Village you will definitely miss Cake Bake & Roll… it is located right when you enter Pier Village from Ocean Ave … right next to the new hotel. I think they’d do much better on the main strip. This place just gives you a cool, fun vibe. The ice cream is good, not spectacular … same with the crepes. It’s fun to just hang out here on a hot summer day after a stroll on the boardwalk. I’ve never had the cupcakes or other pastries — so I can’t speak for those. It’s worth taking the extra 4 minute walk to check this place out.

It’s located right by the beach so if you are in the area and want a place to stop for coffee and a quick bite to eat then this is the place. I do agree that the food itself is sub par(a bit pricey) and there needs to be better organization. I didn’t enjoy the fact that I had to first pay on one side to get cupcakes on the other. It would have been better if I could just pick + pay all at once.

Whoa– why all the hate is RIGHTt… I have been going to Cake Bake and Roll for well over a year now and thoroughly enjoying the ‘experience’. The pastries are delicious and fresh, and the light lunch menu is simple and fulfilling. The crepes are to die for. In addition, the atmosphere is very well thought out with dual entrances, original art works and shows along with live music weekly. The staff is very friendly, attractive and knowledgeable. Cake Bake and Roll gets a A in my book and an A+ for effort! Yay! Joy p. s. Liana L. must not be a happy person in general. To think CB&R is a one star joint is just plain negative. Maybe she should re-visit. Just sayin’… :P

Yikes. Why all the hate? Stopped by here last week and thought it was fine. The staff was courteous, the décor very cute, and the lemon cupcake I had was quite good. Having read some of the reviews(and also having had some truly subpar cupcakes elsewhere recently) I was very wary of it tasting like shortening, sugar and nothing else, but I didn’t notice anything of the sort. Also tried samples of their cheesecake brownie and some sort of rosemary bread, both of which were quite good as well. Hoping some more people try this place out and post their reviews, it’s looking awfully skewed so far.

I was exited to try this place. The place is really cute inside. My friend wanted a pastry and I was going to get a latte. The only employee who worked there seemed to just ignore us and actually helped the people behind us first! After I finally received my latte which burned my tongue after waiting for it to cool down. The taste was awful as well. I assumed she either used half and half or used bad milk. I was able to find the manager who apologized and went right away to have another latte made for me. I watched her address the employee on the matter who gave the manager a whole lot of attitude and insisted I was incorrect. After watching her roll her eyes towards my table she made another latte and didn’t even bother bringing it to the table or calling me to inform it was ready. The second latte was just the same… awful. My friend and I concluded she burnt the milk. It was not worth it to complain about the second latte. so I threw it out and left very disappointed. I ended up just getting a coffee on the other side of the building. I would NEVER go to this place again.

You can put lipstick on a pig… This place is adorable. The décor is fabulous. That’s where my compliments stop. The baked goods(the ones that are ACTUALLY prepared there) are chock-full of preservatives, shortening, and everything else that is horrible for your body and terrible tasting. You’re not paying for quality or flavor here. You’re paying this place’s rent check. If you really don’t give a shit, fork over your cash and enjoy the atmosphere while you’re in there… because that is all that you will enjoy. That is, unless you enjoy pre-packaged Dawn«frosting» and dry cake laced with chemicals so that it’ll have a 3 week shelf life because this crapshoot in disguise can’t move their garbage pastries out fast enough. The only thing worse than this bakery is my inability to form a non-run on sentence. Their cupcakes and pastries look like they were slapped together haphazardly by a six-year-old with spitty hands. Their«custom cupcakes» are a disgrace to the world of pastry and should never see the light of day. All of my senses were offended. Honestly, disgusting. I can’t think of a better word. *Disgusting* Save your money. Go to Costco for your kid’s birthday if sub-par, shortening and preservative filled cakes are what you’re into. At least they have quality control there and you know you’re getting a consistent product from a trusted establishment. That, and it won’t look like a toddler assembled it.

I went here on valentines day, very excited to eat a valentines day cupcake. I pointed to a cupcake and asked the woman helping me if it was devil’s food cake. she said YES. I get two to go, and realized they were red velvet as soon as i took a bite. I was very disappointed as I wanted devils food cake… and I wasn’t very impressed with the red velvet. Won’t be rushing back.
