I am not the biggest ice cream freak. Admittedly, I will always choose gelato or sorbet over ice cream. However, this organic ice cream titillated my taste buds. Yes, it was good. That good. So good I had it when it was 30 something degrees in the winter, by the ocean, in January while snowing. Are you catching my drift? No joke. I paid for a small sugar cone with pistachio ice cream. The pistachios were not the candied type, rather they were fresh treats mixed into a lightly sweetened ice cream– which thankfully was not light green(as some places tend to offer). There is a sprinkles self serve station, sadly sprinkles are not my speed, so check that out when you go.(And checkout their restroom, will ya?) I can imagine this place being packed during the Spring and Summer but the layout and flow of the location is prepped to handle a crowd. I would certainly revisit, without hesitation or doubt.

Even when it’s 32 degrees out and snow flurrying it’s always time for ice cream! Who knew organic ice cream could taste so good? Rich, creamy, flavorful, with an almost gelato kind of texture here. Around 16 flavors on hand to choose from, and many toppings to add on, including a self serve sprinkles dispenser. Prices were fair, the girl working the counter was pleasant and gave us some tastes so we could decide. Mint cookies and cream, and black raspberry were both very good. The place itself was clean with some tables on the inside. It’s a large space and I wonder why there is not more seating in there. They do have tables outside for when the weather is better out. They do need to have some music playing in here though. Sitting in dead silence while enjoying our ice cream could have used something to listen to. It’s the off season so the place was empty. Hey, no lines!

So what if it’s snowing? I’m on a staycation and I’ll eat until all of my stomachs are begging for mercy! Gracie and the Dudes is located at the end of Laird St. and I’m glad that I stopped here for many reasons: 1. Ice cream is my favorite food group; 2. This ice cream was smooth and light, had much more of a gelato-like texture, which is a great; 3. ORGANIC; 4. fairly priced with decently large servings; 5. winter ice cream cravings= no lines-hallelujah! I tried the«cappuccino chunk», which was very strong, but not too sweet. I’d highly recommend this flavor for coffee lovers, or anyone who’s looking for something on the milder side, as far as sugar is concerned. I ended up getting a regular cup, which goes for $ 4.50 + tax and getting two scoops: cookies ‘n’ cream and chocolate. The chocolate was very rich, but again had a light texture. It was absolutely delicious. The cookies ‘n’ cream was equally tasty. Gracie and the Dudes also serve milkshakes, cakes, gelato and Italian ices. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area, and I would happily return to this spot if I’m ever in the area again. Obviously this is the slow season in the frozen dessert business, but the young woman behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. Overall, me likey.

Visited the Long Branch location, and I was impressed. I know how difficult it is to make completely organic ice cream affordable, so I was interested in seeing how the prices were compared to the quality of the product. The store was brand new, nice décor and the store smelled great, haha. The owner mentioned they’d only been open for a few weeks. They had a large variety of flavors, I had the cake batter with sugar cone. It was great, tasted delicious and was reasonably priced for organic ice cream(Although I’m from NYC, so I’m used to things being very overpriced, haha). The owner told us why he got into the organic ice cream business, and how the store got it’s name(After his kids, obviously). Anyway, I’m always in favor of supporting small businesses, especially if they have a good product! I definitely recommend a stop at Gracie and the Dudes and I wish them the best of luck.

Organic ice cream. They refused to put banana in my chocolate shake. They told me the bananas are only for banana splits. I offered to pay extra for the banana but they refused. Save your money and go to Hoffmanns in Ursula plaza. Better ice cream and it’s cheaper.

An organic ice cream shop? Sign me up! My friends and family ducked in here during a rain storm and boy are we glad we did! This is a relatively new place, only two months old. They serve their own organic ice cream in a variety of flavors. Everyone thought the flavors were great! I truly enjoyed my cookie dough ice cream. Good amount of delicious cookie dough in a good ratio of vanilla ice cream. The cookie dough wasn’t huge but it was good sized and mixed well in the vanilla. That’s usually my litmus test for ice cream They can be had in cones or cups, with or without toppings(additional $), which isn’t organic. They have a good variety to choose from on the menu board. Unfortunately they don’t have soft serve or yogurt ice cream. According to their website only one place in the country has organic soft serve. This is a sister store to the Sea bright, NJ location. When at Long Branch for the beach or dinner stop by here for some delish organic ice cream. You won’t be dissappointed. They also make shakes, birthday cakes, and italian ice, which I’m not sure is organic. The best thing is the cost is relatively on par or slightly more than other ice cream places such as cold stone, and Carvel.

My friends and I decided to come here after taking a long walk on the boardwalk and watching fireworks while listening to live jazz. It was one of those«end of the summer days» and we were just trying to make the most of it before school and reality started. Its a fairly new store(I believe the cashier said it was less than 2 weeks old), and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was this humongous container of rainbow sprinkles. I wasn’t sure on what to order so I asked for a few samples and I settled for some coffee flavored ice cream(don’t remember the name exactly) and it tasted orgasmic! The girl behind the counter wasn’t hesitant about offering samples to their customers. I also saw how the process of making a waffle cone was made hot off the grill so I had to have my ice cream with a waffle cone and I was glad I did. Overall, I had an excellent experience here and I will definitely be returning in the future. The staff were courteous and nice and the ice cream was delish. Did I mention the ice cream was homemade and organic?
