**This is now Hoffman’s I believe** — — — — — - So I Unilocaled looking for an ice cream place in Long Branch, and Lo and Behold this popped up. I drove over there, and well — to my surprise — it’s a Hoffman’s now. For those who know of Hoffman’s — well, it’s like a Point Pleasant institution. Anyway, it’s Hoffman’s. I had a banana milkshake, kid had the cookie monster, and the other kid had a chocolate peanut butter. Didn’t taste the peanut butter in the latter, and the cookie monster was ok, but my kids loved it and that’s all that mattered. And I love their banana milkshake from the Point Pleasant locale, and this was exactly the same. The only difference between this location and the Pt. Pleasant one — this one had no lines. In and out. Awesome

Always love to see a sign that says«homemade.» The ice cream was very good, rich and creamy with ample flavors to choose from.

This is ice cream like you remember from your childhood — creamy, flavorful, and not to sweet. Every flavor is homemade and they have a huge variety. Shakes, sundaes, cones, toppings… something for everyone. The service is friendly and attentive. I would go more often but my waist line couldn’t handle it. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Dan and Muriel make all of their own ice cream except for the soft stuff, have 8 sugar-free flavors, too. You can pay twice the price in Pier Village for less quality and smaller portions. This is what happens when you deal with a locally owned place(as opposed to a chain) — they can buy better quality ingredients, experiment with flavors, mixins and toppings, and invent their own concoctions.
