One of my favorite restaurants. I love the steak fajita chimichangas and the watermelon margaritas. I could drool just thinking about it. And I’ve always had great service. No complaints.

I grew up on real home cooked Mexican food in southern California. This place has the most amazingly diverse TRUE Mexican menu I have seen this side of Mexico City. The typical southwestern tex-mex dishes all have an interesting twist. The rest of this very extensive menu bears study just to fit your mood. There are more tequila’s available than I have seen most places, and at very reasonable prices. $ 9 for a Casamigos Reposado shaken w ice is good. This is seriously the best Mexican restaurant in NJ(and I have a lot of other favorites for normal stuff). I am so grateful to know that they rebuilt after Sandy put 3 feet of water through the place… Extremely relaxed local atmosphere across the inlet from two marinas, but the very real deal. GOTHERE!(you will thank me)

It’s been several years since our last visit to CC and we were never big fans of this place, but that said we enjoyed a very nice dinner here with another couple a few nights ago. For starters super large basket of just out of the fryer tortilla chips were excellent as well as their dipping sauces and fresh guacamole. Various other dishes were very tasty, especially my order of chili rellenos. One of their very well made margaritas was just enough in terms of size and alcohol content to do the trick. Based on our enjoyment of this meal we will be back again.

Great food but they should not have girls soliciting bar favors while you’re trying to eat dinner… they came around twice after saying no the first time… quite annoying, something you usually see in cheap bar or cheesy club.

Great Mexican food. Sure they’re maybe better ones. But I will give them 5 stars anyways due to my ezperience there last night. Food is always great when we go there. The staff is always on point. Atmosphere is very laid back. The scenery is great! The food is always fresh. The Chicken Burrito is always a pleaser. The Fajitas and Chimichangas are also great. Bottom line if you are in the area and craving Mexican food go to this place. I was never disappointed. Will always come back here! A true hidden gem at the shore!

Been coming here for years and don’t understand the bad reviews of this place! The fajita chimichangas are to die for — they come two to an order; I always get one steak and one chicken and have enough left over for a full meal the next day. Prices may seem a bit high but the portions are huge and drinks are strong! Warm, fresh tortilla chips and salsa come to the table upon arrival — the spicy salsa is a favorite of mine as well.

Finally got a chance to try Casa Comida again last night been awhile… wish we didn’t. There are so many better places for Mexican food in LB… The Salsa was like stewed watery TASTELESS bland chunky tomatoes out of a can really needed alot of salt & pepper, chips were hot and crispy though. There was also a HOT spicy Salsa & a warm Green Verde Salsa also but both were watery too. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas nice big pieces of charred sizzling chicken, asparagus, onions & peppers but again a watery sauce on bottom and bland taste, additional fajita condiments, pico, guac, all bland also. We also got a Beef Taco Salad bowl and yet again it was very DRY and tasteless of spices & bland,… at that point we stopped ordering anything else there left most and took off,…wont be back. Also the LOUD music from the bar area next to the dining room didn’t help the ambiance or our so called«romantic dinner»,…oh well next time! They need a good MEXICAN chef in the kitchen for sure.

One of my favorite happy hours around. The bartenders are friendly. Nachos and chimichangas all day!

I have been there in the past. It was excellent then. Not so much now. High prices, watery drinks and a beef burrito made with hamburger meat? Really. Stick with 10th avenue Burrito.

So I went to Casa Comida today on my way hime from work. I ordered takeout, two entrees totaling 50+ dollars after tip. Ive been going there since a child, and am happy they have had a recent Renaissance of new customers. I ordered fajitas shrimp and scallop, also the carnitas burritos with mole. I come home, we sit down as a family to eat, and the mole sauce tasted ‘different’. I called Casa Comida and spoke with Sarah. She told me that the sauce is good, and we’ve been using the same recipe for 25 years. No offer to try something else, nor interest in tasting my wife’s mole sauce that is extraordinary.(My wife is mexican). This attitude from Sarah will make me think twice before returning to patron this establishment. Good luck Sarah, John Jackson NJ Master Plumber Long Branch.

Nice spot when you’re craving simple Mex-American fare. You can sit outside where they have tables and rocking chairs perched in front of the Shrewsbury River. I had the Santa Fe grilled fish tacos and the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. My friend had the duck quesadilla special and the duck played very well with the orange salsa. The staff was extremely friendly but not overbearing which is always appreciated. Is it the best Mexican food east of the MIssissippi? Of course not, but I would definitely come back for some tacos and margaritas when I’m in the area.

I’ve only come here on Fajita night, which is on Monday’s. There are excellent deals to be had then on a sizzling hot plate of meat and veggies. The food is fresh, flavorful and bountiful. The chips however leave a strange film at the roof of my mouth, I forgive them for that in lieu of the excellent Fajita’s! The service is great, as well.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. I am a longtime customer. Delicious and strong margaritas, with lots of yummy flavors to choose from. I usually get a large carafe of mango and strawberry mixed together, which is nice of them to do. My usual is fajita chimichangas, one steak, one chicken. The meat, especially the steak, is always tender and seasoned very well. Portions are huge, you end up with a whole second meal to take home. Excellent house made tortilla chips and salsa, although the hot one could be hotter. Service is fast and pleasant.

The worse food ever, straight liquid salsa and then what I swear is Pace Picante sauce I was so disappointed and the beans were right from the can. It use to be good in the late 80’s .I found a hole in the wall on Third ave that’s authentic El Rancho Mexicana

Great margaritas, and great food. Freshly made tamales were delicious and as were the enchiladas and beef burrito. Definitely a place to check out.

After a day of sightseeing in Long Branch, my friends recommended us to go to and eat at Casa Comida!!! Not only for the food but the drinks as well. And it did not disappoint. The décor is very rustic, a wooden house with a lot of decorations all around the walls. As we entered, we told the host we were a party of 6 and automatically asked us if we had a rsvp. Thought that was a lil odd since the restaurant was not packed. He told us to wait a few mins while they get a table ready. Then they sat us at a round table. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We ordered a large container dont remember the name of the gold margarita. This was great, strong and flavorful. As for the food, I ordered the enchiladas, one with shredded chicken and the other shredded pork with salsa verde. I also ordered a side of guacamole. It was delish. I loved all the cheese. The rice and beans were ok. The service was great. The waitress was awesome. The other people in my party wanted to order the fish tacos special with mahi mahi however they were all out mahi mahi. They were defintely bummed. Overall the party enjoyed their food and the drinks. Definitely coming back when I am back in the Jersey Shore.

I’ve been here twice. Food is consistent. It’s not a 100% Mexican flavored as it does have an American flare combined within their preparation. They are priced fairly and more economical than other locations in the area. For New Jersey it’s one of the better places to have Mexican food. They also serve various options of margaritas by the glass, on the rocks or frozen and by karafe size too. Getting a karafe is more economical. I ordered the build your own entrée. 1 chimichanga, 1 hard taco, 1 enchilada. Mixed with different meats chicken, pork and chop meat. We also had the al ka bone burrito which was especially delectable. Don’t forget to order a side of guacamole. They have a large parking lot. The restaurant is also very large and there is window seating available. With a view to water if you sit by the window. Saturday’s they close at 10 but that is the last seating. By the time everyone leaves it’s probably midnight. I will be back again.

Came in after the Monmouth Race Track food festival. Food was so so. Service was rushed and sub par. Wife had the fajitas and asked for them without ovens. She got a grilled chicken breast that was cut up with bell pepper strips. The presentation was on a regular dish while all the other tables that ordered fajitas came out with the traditional sizzling get your face steamed presentation. I would not recommend ordering the tacos which were shredded chicken slow cooked in tomato sauce in a tortilla with typical fixings. Wait staff was either overworked or our waitress had a get in and out mentality. She put the to go boxes and check on the table while we were still dating. Several other people on the way out of the restaurant mentioned how rush they felt. Will be looking for another Mexican restaurant to take care of my cravings.

I don’t understand how this place has any positive reviews. I got the pork chimichangas and they were just gross. Refried beens were canned and the rice tasted old.

All food tastes canned. Their viewpoint is if it’s covered in cheese its Mexican. Food was so bad that we didn’t take leftovers home and went home hungry. I regret not going to señor peppers in red bank! Food there is fresh, authentic, and affordable.
