Kung Fu Tea

I heard this place is under new management, they change the whole menus in the Chinese food section, I love their Pad Thai and singapore Mei fun. Both of them they make it fresh when you order it. From the bubble tea section I order a medium lychee punch with bubble, their bubble is really good.

I always come here to grab bubble tea since I go to the campus (LaGuardia Community College). Kung Fu tea is my favorite grab-​to-​go bubble tea spot. It’s delicious bubble tea, its also cheap and I recommend it to everyone who likes bubble tea.
They have Chinese food in the back and the bubbles teas (drinks) in the front. I usually order the general tso’ or the chicken with broccoli with fried noodles with egg roll. However they don’t have a lot of selection of food but you can switch up if you get tired of the choices you get. I really like the Kung Fu Tea café because the campus doesn’t have a lot of food choices besides ⁷⁄₁₁ and halal food. So this is my favorite spot to go for quick lunch.

I always come here to grab a quick lunch. They have Chinese food in the back and bubbles teas in the front. They do not have a lot of selection for Chinese. I normally get the fried rice with sesame chicken or pepper chicken. I wish there fried rice had more flavor it’s always so dry. My favorite is the Oreo bubble tea. It’s a bit pricy tho and they don’t offer college discount.

Taro Green Tea with bubbles was a little too sweet even though I asked for less sugar. But once I started drinking the foam, it became surprisingly delicious. I usually go for the Oolong Milk Tea but I wanted to try something new. I’m very picky when it comes to bubble tea but I say, Kung Fu Tea is pretty okay for its price.

I always order hot milk tea and the hotness varies, depending on the person who makes bubble tea (´‘)
When the person makes tea so hot, it’s awesome.

I went in here for lunch the other day. I got chicken and broccoli from the food place in the back, and a chai milk with bubbles from the front.
Both were super mediocre.
The food, I’ll never order from them again. Dry, lukewarm, tiny portion.
The chai, I ordered it unsweetened so maybe that’s why it wasn’t good? But it tasted like watered down skim milk. It had no chai flavoring. The bubbles were good though.
I’ll go back again to try another flavor.

Kung Fu tea was by far my favorite grab-​to-​go bubble tea spot. They use real milk, yummy bubbles, tea. Price was good, especial green tea bubble

I have such a love-​hate relationship with this specific KungFu Tea location. First of all, KungFu is by far my favorite place to grab boba in NYC. Their drinks are always consistently made and the pearls are always on point (i.e. perfect level of chewiness with a hint of sweetness to them). When I found out that there was a spot within walking distance from work, I was stoked! My problem with this location, however, is that I have absolutely no idea when they’re opened. The posted hours are completely unreliable. It almost feels as if the owner just wakes up and decides, «Oh, just gonna take a day off today! Who cares about my customers?» There have been times when I eagerly trekked over during my lunch breaks only to find the doors locked. Let me tell you, being denied boba when you’re really craving one is the worst feeling ever.
If you are fortunate enough to actually visit this place when it’s opened, then it’s your lucky day! The white gourd (winter melon) green tea, yogurt green tea, and Kung Fu milk green tea are my go-​to items. There’s also a kitchen that serves food in the back (which they have recently remodeled). The food pre-​renovation was unremarkable, but perhaps it has improved now.

The tea is ok but their chinese food stand in the back is poised. They re-​heat their yesterday’s food it’s dry and too expensive for such a s all amount. I tried chicken broccoli… well let just say my stomach was crying out loud

We ordered three buble teas but they do not have any straws which is for bubble tea. I was so angry but they even did not say sorry. If you guys don’t have straw, do inform to us or do not sell bubble tea. We can not eat bubbles with narrow straw. And also coffee milk tea taste terrible!

Pros:

I’ve never seen it as packed as some bubble tea places can get

The place can get pretty messy… sticky tables, overflowing trash etc.
the quality of the tea is good, but the tapioca pearls are always over cooked
seating can be a little challenging sometimes.
Overall I would definitely say come check it out if you’re in the area and looking for bubble tea

Is this place ever open anymore? I went last Friday at 530pm and it was shuttered. Why advertise your business hours as closing at 8pm. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!
Kung Fu tea is the best right now when it comes to bubble tea. I call it the «Starbucks» of bubble tea because it is good, but you will pay for it as well!

So happy they opened up a bubble tea spot by my school! I’ve been obsessed with bubble tea since I was legit 7 years old. This place is pretty good! They always make the bubble tea perfectly. Not too sweet not too dull, always the right amount of flavor. They also have a small little Chinese food area in the back if you want to go grab something to bite. And did I mention free WiFi? Yepp they have WiFi, a decent bathroom & TV. Love to come here on my breaks when it isn’t packed just to relax and have a good bubble tea drink. The staff is also really nice. Didn’t give it a 5 star due to the fact that they only take cash, no cards here: c

I look forward to days where I’m working from our LIC office so that I can stop at Kung Fu Tea for an afternoon treat.
This location of the popular bubble tea branch is welcoming, clean, and larger than it looks from the outside. There are 2 areas serving tea drinks in the front and Chinese food in the back. I usually just stick with the bubble tea (milk tea with grass jelly & tapioca, no sugar or ice, please!), but the food is decent for a steam counter and the lunch options are inexpensive.
Seeing as how I’ll be coming here often, I agree with the other reviewers– they need to start a frequent buyer punch card program!

Best bubble tea of all places! Must try all the flavors with bubbles as an add-​on!

I love this place. The tea is just GOOD! =) Plus, they added a little Chinese restaurant buffet thingy in the back so you can get some good food while you sip your good tea. The décor is on point… very modern Japanese.
One time one of the workers (I think he name was john) had finished making my tea, but he felt he didn’t make it good enough so he comes around the counter and offers to fix it for me (I didn’t taste a difference). I really like that! People that take pride in their work no matter how seemingly insignificant. I gave him a 5 dollar tip for it. He saw something wrong and fixed it no questions asked. He gets 5 stars in my book.
The only reason the place doesn’t get 5 is because its a tad bit pricey and they don’t take plastic, but its still well worth it. I stop by every time I am in the area.

Probably one of the more modern and cleaner looking interiors of all the cafés in. The area. Staff is organized, there are plenty of options to choose from, and there is plenty of seating. Thankfo d bubble tea has come to this a deal I am hooked. They need a punch card for loyal customers!

Why do some people love ice cream as a treat? Well the answer to it applies the same for me with Boba tea. And Kung Fu Tea makes it well. Ever since I discovered that this place opened and existed across the street from LaGuardia college, I have been coming almost everyday for my ice cream, I mean Boba. It has accounted for 20 visits so far since I’ve known they been open since early January 2014. It’s so close to me than going to Elmhurst, Flushing or Chinatown. I know two other Boba spots close by but they aren’t the quality Kung Fu Tea offers. The Boba has a good solid to soft ratio in texture (chewy), especially better in the morning. It’s just right in proportion.
I order the same darn thing every time. Ice cold green tea with Boba and Mung beans and if I am feeling ballerish, I will splurge an extra 50cents on red beans. I learned to request less ice, less sugar and order it with and without milk depending on the feel. It’s good and smoother with the milk but I can taste the tea and Boba/​beans more so without milk. Love the way it’s made on the spot and sealed right there which goes for most places but I’m just saying. And the amount of customers, usually a younger crowd keeps the ingredients from just sitting there.
The staff a little off on the English but forgiven for their great demeanor and service, chill, nice and pleasant. The downside is their bland food laying around in buffet bins, the pictures look better. A decent amount of good décor tables/​seats. And two flat screen televisions playing media or music videos in American and Chinese/​Taiwanese style. Clean Bathroom. Wifi available-​ask them.
I think I just found a usual spot. Just cause I like Boba.

Just ordered a hot green wow milk. The service was normal and they took 2mintues to make my drink. The big problem is the bubbles taste so old. hope they can improve their bubbles and make sure to change and cook new bubbles after 2 hours.

As soon as you walk in it feels like you have gone to a different neighborhood. All of that loud noise and busy people from LIC disappear, and you’re in a cool environment. The staff are friendly and all of the things used to make the bubble tea/​smoothies are right there so you know what you’re getting.
The interior if the place starts with the front being a glass wall with a big door. The tables are clean cut and there is bright, contemporary lights. The atmosphere is a little interesting because when I went there; K-​Pop was playing in the background which was honestly fun because my friends were sitting in the back trying to sing along (it didn’t work). Still, a really nice place and worth checking out. The bubble tea is also really good.
