Moishe’s Self Storage

Not quite sure why all the negative reviews. I recently needed to rent a large storage unit while I waited to move into my apartment. I scheduled for Moishe’s to move me into the storage unit and all went without a hitch. Fast forward 4 months and I’m finally all moved in so now I needed to downsize storage unit. I was lucky enough to work with the same person as from the first go around — Chaira. Not only did she meticulously explain the options, she went as far as to show me two different units she thought might work based on my budget. I picked one, moved and did all paperwork within 30 minutes. I’m very satisfied dealing with Moishe’s.

So, so rude. This is the Hotel California of the storage world. They offered an attractive rate and a free move to get us in. Then the rates went up and up – 50% over a couple of years. And when our movers emptied the locker and removed our lock, we had to go there personally to end our contract. They model their business practices after shady gyms take their customer service trainings with the DMV. Do yourself a favor and put your stuff somewhere else.

I’ve actually used them a few times and they were awesome! I’ve used their self storage, their mover access only storage and their movers — all been fantastic experiences.

Never ever doing any business here. Pick Moishes but not hère, the staffs are incredibly rude, slur languages and vulgar.
The lowest customer service in any world I’ve encounter in any part of world!

Moisha’s refuses to pay me anything for my carpets. If any one stores at any Moisha’s
facility — you do so at your own risk. I will have to sue them.

The other reviewers are absolutely correct, it is almost impossible to get your stuff out. The hours at this facility is extremely limited, the people who work there are incredibly rude, and it is more expensive than Manhattan. Save yourself the time, money and aggravation and just say NO.

I’m renting a large room there for storing my inventory for an online sales business. This is a decent storage warehouse. It’s huge — the largest building in the area actually — and well managed. Overall, all the employees, including manager Dino, who is a down to earth, hands-​on kind of guy, have been very helpful when I had a request, even with ones that are stretching it for them. I think they just become very sensitive when they get the impression that a tenant wants to get his stuff while still owing rent. That’s quite understandable. They have a large loading dock facing Vernon Blvd. My only suggestion would be that there should be a ramp for customers who come without a truck. Sometimes I also wish their was A/​C but on the other hand I realize what a gigantic waste of energy for mostly dead inventory this would be, so I’m refraining from a «complaint.» This is storage, not really a work place.
Overall, this is a very decent place.

We couldn’t even begin a biz relationship with these jack-​holes! They had my wife screaming on the phone after hours of trying to schedule a delivery, promises that they’d return our calls only to have to start again every time we called them back.
No way — they’ve lost our business for good.

Four months after vacating, I have yet to get my deposit refunded. I have called sixteen times and am always promised a check. I even talked to the manager of the operation, Alan Nevine, and he apologized and promised me a check within a week. NOTHING.
This is a really dishonest business. They bank on knowing that a lot of people won’t be as tenacious in trying to get back their deposit.
UPDATE: I never got my deposit. It was impossible. They just gave me the run-​around. SHADY OPERATION.

I also posted this review for Moishe’s Self Storage, which is at the same address. I’m guessing this place goes by two names. Here’s the review:
Easy in, impossible out. These guys gave me a great rate for a storage unit, 1^st month free! They even came by to pick up my stuff, free of charge. Everything was smooth until I tried to pick up my stuff. Sure, they say that you can have access to your things 24 hours a day, but getting access after 8pm is nearly impossible. Upon calling to let them know that I’d be stopping by to pick up my things, I was threatened with a lawsuit (I kid you not!) if I took my stuff. Then I got into a heated verbal argument with the guy since I wasn’t allowed to pick up my things. I then called back the next day and spoke to Dino, the manager, who was a much more polite a-​hole. He accused me of trying to vacate my unit in the middle of night and skip out on paying them. This didn’t seem to make sense to me since I had pre-​paid 3 months for the unit.
Finally had to rearrange my schedule just so I could get my stuff during the day-​time and found out that they had put an additional lock on my storage unit to prevent me from accessing my things. It’s a miracle I escaped their grasp.
I felt like I was dealing with a bunch of thugs. Stay away!
Oh… and I never got my deposit back!”
