Keva is wonderful! I can always trust that she’ll do a great job on my nails — they’re always the way I like them. The attached picture is after 2 weeks of outgrowth. Still in great shape!

Had a manicure with Keva. She is absolutely delightful and does a very good job. The ambiance is very relaxing and they are moderately priced. Recommend going there!

Have been getting my hair cut here for several years. Very happy with the service I get and the consistency in the cut I get. The shop is always clean and every one is super friendly. I am offered something to drink every time, and I feel truly pampered while there.

Made the mistake of trusting some of the reviews here on Unilocal and gave this place a try. First off, the owner needs to re-think the ‘look’ he is going after with this salon. While a dark Parisian café look may work for a restaurant or speakeasy, it does not work well for a salon. Your stylists need to see what the heck they are doing!!! How can you possibly color someone’s hair while using indirect tiny IKEA’ish spotlights? I’ll give my stylist Kimberley a little credit for dealing with this poor lighting… but that’s as far as it goes. As a «Master Stylist/Colorist», I expected her to know how to color hair. No such luck. Here’s a tip — if you notice that your stylist is putting several applications of ‘shampoo’ on your head while you are in the washing bowl… something is WRONG! Lying and telling me you are just shampooing my head three times, instead of admitting you are using a toner to try and FIX the mistakes you made, is not a good idea. Unfortunately for her, I grew up around salons and I know what’s what. Also, adding more developer to the foils after they have already been applied and folded… and then trying to tell me you are just trying to ‘activate’ them, is just plain nuts. Looking around the salon, I’m not sure that any of the stylists are very good. Any one who is, wouldn’t stay in this place very long. Do yourself a favor… take your business elsewhere!!!

Unprofessional and un skilled. Let’s Start off by saying that my experience was absolutely horrible!!! My appt. Was set for 1:45pm on a Wednesday afternoon. I was on time and ready for a cut and color.(My hair stylist had relocated so I decided to give this place a try and from the recent reviews and website they looked like a legit skilled salon) the girl I was scheduled with was named Amber. Trained by Tony and Guy and apperently had 12 years under her belt. She was running behind, had 2 more clients ahead of me. Waited about 30 minutes and finally she called me to her chair. Very nice but seemed a little stressed out and rushed. I started to feel that vibe so I became a little nervous and stressed out myself. She began shampooing my hair and I was scheduled for color? Ummmm ok… and by that time it was already too late. I thought to myself ok she is super busy and stressed so I I’m not even going to mention I was scheduled for color. I want a quality job done. I hope she cuts my hair decent… she cut my hair just fine and took off what I had told her too. Then when it came to my bangs… omg did she butcher them!!! Mind you I have curly hair… I was just so disgusted by this point I was like omg. at least hair grows right? After it was all said and done I went up front to pay with the receptionist /manager and she had noticed that I was scheduled for full color and cut. Wow she apologized but never even offered a discount for waiting so long and then not getting what I asked for initially. I never tipped. In a way I’m glad she didn’t Colo my hair. she probably would have screwed it up! Hair grows back I’m over it. I am pinning them back until they grow out but the professionalism in this place sucks!!! Needs big improvement. 1 star worthy. Their sign claims they are the best salon in longmont… bs!!!

I am going to agree with the poster from 8⁄27. I can’t speak to the other stylists or treatments they offer… this is solely about mani/pedis. I showed up on time only to be told the stylist was delayed. Fine. 15 minutes is nothing these days, and I was happy to browse colors. I was told(upon choosing my color) that«that’s from the millenium collection, you know, like over a decade ago.“in a rather condescending tone. So… did I choose a ‘passé’ color? Aren’t people just supposed to say«that’s pretty» or «maybe you want a darker shade for your skin tone»?? First time I’ve been outwardly judged for choosing a color at a salon. Anyway… I ended up walking barefoot INTOTHEBATHROOM to wash hands or do other mani and pedi prep, the ‘technician’ actually left for a SMOKEBREAK(?? perhaps this is the gal that rubbed 8⁄27 the wrong way, as I don’t believe my lady was Kelly) as I was mid mani, and then came back REEKING of cigarette smoke. WTH? I tried to get into a salon to have a nice, relaxing break and ended up wheezing because of a smoker and walking around the store barefoot? NEVER going back. For those looking for a stellar mani/pedi, I can recommend J-Lounge and Kozy Salon, both in North Boulder and not terribly out of the way for the Longmont peeps.

For Wanda at Beau Image Salon in Longmont, Colorado. I have been going to salons for years. I feel like I am walking into a romantic spa in France. The atmosphere is gorgeous both functionally and personally. The colors and décor make it an unforgettable outing. There is always a pot of coffee on and something sweet to eat. A great place to relax and feel pampered. I adore Wanda Garrett, who does my facials. Her spa room is a step into someplace magical. So peaceful and truly a place to become beautiful and healed. She is absolutely professional and highly skilled. Her products are earthy and calming. You don’t want to miss this experience.

The stylist I used has left this salon and after today, I’m looking for a new one. The salon is pretty, clean and the staff are professional and usually welcoming. The aesthetician, Wanda, is great. I have never had a problem with scheduling, which seems to be a common complaint with this salon. However, while I may have not had scheduling issues like other posters, my spouse has. My husband has been bumped TWICE now, and not informed until he walked in the door. Once is understandable. Twice, not so much, and without an offer for a discount or other sort of reconciliatory gesture. In this day and age, there is no reason not to call or text a customer. Luckily, the spouse liked the haircuts he got both times but even as laid-back as he is, he’s had enough. I hadn’t had a problem yet with appointments… until today. In fact, the salon is usually very accommodating… HOWEVER, today, when I arrived for a mani-pedi, which I scheduled TWO weeks ago, I was accosted for being«half an hour late». I didn’t appreciate being accused like I was misbehaving child. I am very VERY conscious of being on time for appointments. It is A Thing. Long story short, the salon screwed up my scheduling and tried to pin it on me. Kelly the nail tech apparently is unable to do pedis right now, and I wasn’t informed of this when I made the appointment. The other nail tech insisted I was late because she doesn’t «Do appointments on the half hour». I was confused and said so, mentioning that made the appointment with Kelly, NOT with her(I just don’t like her, for some silly, bitchy, illogical reason, she just rubs me wrong). When I said I had scheduled both a mani AND a pedi WITHKELLY and at 1:30 because I work until 1pm, it became apparent that the person who had scheduled me made an error. In their defense, the nail techs were flexible in trying to accommodate me, and got me in the following day, but this messes up plans I had made for Thursday, as I am going out out of town for a wedding on and had scheduled the mani-pedi on Wednesday for just that reason. I would normally not be bent out of shape by this, but the one time I couldn’t be flexible, they really, really goofed it all up. Honestly, I would have preferred to go to different salon tomorrow, but I know Beau Image to do good work and that they are clean and on top of it all, the other recommended salons didn’t have anything avaiable on such short notice. I regret to say I’m pretty much done with Beau Image after this experience and my husband’s two mung-ups. Beau Image is the first salon I’ve ever been to that does not call the day before to confirm appointments — if they had, this could have been caught in time and resolved without a scramble. Beau Image is reasonably priced, conveniently located, has skilled stylists and generally gets it right, but missed the boat when it really mattered. With this experience and my husband’s two bumps, I have become less enamored of them recently and this, combined with the departure of my stylist, are the reasons I will not be returning.

I have been here twice now(cut & colored by Kimberly). They are so wonderfully flexible about scheduling(great hours!), they have a downtown feel without downtown salon prices, and I’ve yet to have a bad experience. They have a great and friendly staff and atmosphere here. Made me feel very relaxed for big hair changes. They also offer ton of choices: beverages, style mags if you aren’t sure exactly what you want, and spa services! I brought Kimberly a picture of what I wanted, and got the perfect cut both times. I also discussed in depth what kind of color I wanted yesterday: natural looking highlights and lowlights. She made it happen. It looks great, I feel great. They are never pushy about products they sell, but will still let you know how to maintain and style; whether you’re on a budget, have the ability to splurge a little, or even if you’re a spendthrift. Anyone who’s had a bad experience, I recommend they make an appointment with someone else, as I imagine Beauimage would be more than willing to make your experience change. I will continue to go here, and I recommend you do the same.

From the minute I called to make an appointment until I walked out with a new do– everyone here was so friendly and professional. I had a cut and deep conditioning and it was only $ 64! I asked just for a trim and thats exactly what she gave me– with making it look stylish. I recommend everyone and anyone to go here.

I have been going to Beau Image to see Rebecca for the past 2 years– I am extremely picky on who does my hair and have to say, I love the way she does it each and every time! She is willing to try new things but also stay within my comfort level. Overall, quality of services I receive from Rebecca are EXCELLENT and she is awesome! Cannot speak for other stylists.

Finally — I found a «boulderish» salon in Longmont. I went in today to get my teeth whitened(one of the salon servies they offer). The owner Lola was very friendly, the customer waiting area was filled with bottled water and other goodies, and the general vibe of the salon was relaxing. I will be back.

Since we recently moved to the area and don’t really know anyone here, I had to strike out on my own to find some place to get my hair cut. Beauimage was in the running with two other salons, but I eventually chose to go here because the prices seemed moderate and based on their website the place seemed to ride that fine line between too cool(you know those places) and too«mom». For whatever reason, the stylist and I did not hit it off. At all. The vibe I got from her was even a tiny bit hostile, like she had much better things to be doing than cutting my hair. I brought pictures to show her the direction I wanted to go in and tried to talk to her about my hair, and at best she seemed moderately interested. I spent the rest of my time there in almost complete, slightly uncomfortable silence. This, coupled with the fact that my haircut wasn’t really what I wanted(the day of the cut it was fine, but later it required too much styling and grew out strangely [I’ve had the same cut before and didn’t have these problems]), will definitely lead me to explore other options.
