So I ate there n January 1st2016. We had egg drop soup small, crab-meat cheese wontons 8, and Kung Pao Shrimp. Pros: Main course was good The chef checked up on us I think was the chef so obviously want to keep customers happy. Con: Dirty water glass(stuff was stuck to the out side of the glass) Wontons seem to be from a freezer No options for brown or wild rice Overall and Ok experience not the best Chinese.

Was the best Chinese food I’ve had since moving to Colorado. I only wish I lived in Longmont so I could eat here more often. Came in for lunch with boyfriend, ordered 2 lunch specials. He got general tso’s chicken and I got kung pao chicken and an order of lemon chicken to take home. Unlike some Chinese restaurants I feel the food was made fresh, his chicken still had some crunch to the outside which was delicious. They used fresh vegetables and the food came out very hot. Service was good, price was good. The lemon chicken is the way I like it, fried breaded chicken with a lemon sauce you add when you eat it. Was a solid quality slice of chicken breast. Will be our first stop next time we are in or around Longmont.

All in all? Still in search of decent Chinese food in Longmont… Decided on a whim to grab some Chinese food after shopping. Most of the close places that came up get 4 stars so we closed our eyes and chose one. China Panda won out. Super awkward building — couldn’t quite figure out where we were going at first. Once we found the entrance, it took a few minutes before anyone acknowledged and offered to seat us. There were a few tables with patrons but it certainly was not busy. And yet again, we waited quite some time to be greeted by our server. We chose quickly and ordered: soup and two entrees. We waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally they arrived with our food — but just the soup and one entrée. Call us crazy, but we’d been hoping for the soup as an appetizer. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe the second entrée was just taking longer… but she said nothing. So I asked — and it turns out she had forgotten to put in the order in the first place. Bummer. It came out within about 10(?) minutes or so. The soup ended up being my favorite part of the meal — Jum Bön Noodle Soup. Pretty tasty, nice size serving(listed as a serving for 2). Our entrees were Sesame Chicken, also tasty — though I asked for spicy which it definitely was not — and Pad Thai which was good but not your traditional flavor profile. Food would probably rate 3⁄5. For us it was the wait time and the poor service that did them in. We may be back, but perhaps for takeout and definitely after we give some of the other options a go first.

Had the yellow curry here the other night and was very impressed. Delicious! Just the right amount of spice for me, a good variety of perfectly cooked veggies. Plain white rice, but I didn’t actually ask for brown/black/wild. Not sure if they have those as an option or not. Anyway, I will definitely try more items on their menu and re-review.

Ordered out, took 75 minutes on a Friday, but they said it would be a wait! It was worth the wait. Hot and sour soup really yummy, just the perfect amount of hot. We also had the Crab Rangoon and shrimp pad Thai. The food was all very tasty, we will be ordering out again soon!

This places is great! I have had a lot of Chinese food from different places across the U.S. and this place has been my favorite by far! The crab cheese wontons are the best and the sesame chicken is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Plus, The owner of this small family run restaurant is so sweet and always very attentive when we dine in. A+

Food was scrumptious! The service, tho, can improve I think it’s more of a cultural difference. This is THEBEST Chinese gourmet in Longmont!!! Definitely WILL order again! #faithfulcustomer

Consistently great American Chinese food — my favorite in the area(I drive ½ hour for take out and it is completely worth it). The Hunan beef and fried wings are awesome. Excellent serving staff and an overall great place!

This place sucked! First of all the food was not so fresh, and the service was terrible!!! The lady told me to calm down after she verbilly told me that she was not even listening. And the containers were not even clean.

Food is «meh» and cleanliness is wanting.

Since moving to Colorado it has been hard for me to find something that brings me back to the Chinese food goodness of the Northeast I grew up with. I was quite happy with china panda, it was quite the same, but it was much better than the most of the stuff around here. The Kung Pao was good, although not nearly as spicy as I would’ve liked. The other thing that is different, is what I would call a spring roll, is called an egg roll… I’m not sure that it is worth the drive from Boulder to Longmont, but if you are in the area and looking for some cook Chinese, China panda is a great spot.

My family and I dined at China Panda a few nights ago and were generally pleased with the experience. We had 3 different entrées and the food was all EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, as good as the food was, the service was about that BAD. Our primary server didn’t seem happy about having to be there and several times throughout the dinner we were left for extended periods of time in need of drink refills, etc. It definitely seemed as though they were short-staffed so we’ll surely give them another try but if that problem turns out to be a recurring theme, they’ll be left off our last of regular stops.

Everything here was great except for the weird smell in the building and needs to be updated. The food was good and the service was great. I would recommend visiting at least once and I would go back every once in a while!

The food was pretty decent, very Americanized but fresh and not a lot of preservatives that you typically run into. In my own opinion, when you come to a family style Chinese restaurant, like this one, you should expect to be there over an hour. So don’t come here expecting in & out service, that’s what take out is for. It’s a dining, family experience and I really appreciate that. I will say that the layout, floor plan, in this very old building is… interesting. It was also the first time I’ve ever needed a key to use the Men’s Room. It was good and worth the experience, but if someone asked where they should go out for«Chinese,» I probably wouldn’t say China Panda.

Gross! The food was sub par and the kitchen was incredibly slow today. But the worst part, I ate bugs. The soy sauce at our table was FULL of bugs. I found this out AFTER I had poured a big heaping helping into my spring roll and ate it. I had no appetite after that. I was disgusted. Then, the management or whoever it was that came to address the situation(she never did introduce herself) gave 15% off. Seriously? What a joke. I wonder what the health department would have done about the situation. She did nothing but make excuses as to why bugs would be in the soy sauce. The only positive note was the server and busser. They were quick with filling drinks and the server was horrified by the situation and apologized repeatedly. Unfortunately, I will never again visit this establishment and it would not surprise me if they are shut down by the health department.

Oh WOW. That’s all I have to say. Actually — there’s more. My husband and I have travelled extensively throughout the US and I, being a Chinese Restaurant connoisseur, have somewhat high expectations. Moving to Boulder temporarily put a halt on enjoying great Chinese food. We’ve tried most(not all — we’re getting there) Chinese restaurants in our town, and honestly — for the most part — we’ve been somewhat disappointed. I had almost resigned to save any Chinese food cravings for when we travelled out of state — not at all ideal. A last resort was China Panda in Longmont.(FREE) Pot of hot tea + mouthwatering(and so very hot) entrees, you know there was some love carefully crafted into our order. China Panda, you’ve made me a believer in good Chinese food in my area again. Thank you for not disappointing!

My wife and I have tried literally every Chinese food place in Longmont. This is the only one we return too, and often at that. The owner is friendly and always there, the food is served hot and spiced to taste. We’re regulars for sure and when we can’t make it in the delivery is prompt. I highly recommend the twice cooked pork, chicken and green beans and egg foo yung as three of my favorite dishes. Stop in you aren’t likely to be disappointed.

The food portion was really good, the taste was really pretty good, the temp was pretty hot, which is good. Our waitress which knows everyone, all the regulars, was on the ball. Our water never came even half full. She was on it, and real sweet and polite. We will be back.

I lived in San Francisco for several years. I left there 20 years ago. This is the best Chinese food I’ve had since leaving there. Well cooked. Wide choices. Large portions. Prices are low. The fried dumplings are made there and very good. Hot & Sour soup is excellent. Hunan Beef very tender. Moo Shu pork also great. I’ve tried several things on the menu and they are all super. It’s the only Chinese place I go to now. At least once a week.
