I was really excited when this place first opened up, because there arent that many good ‘Mexican food’ places near by. This definitely takes second place to its other locations. That said, its still good!

Very poor service as the time it took to get our drinks took a long time. With only a small party in front of us, it Still took my wife to go up to the counter to get our drinks. Though the Long Beach on Bellflower location is much more busy, the service there is much better. This is the Second time that I have been here and I don’t see me coming back. The corner in this location seems to be cursed. I think either they clean up their act or they will be closing sooner than later.

Have been going to Clark location for years and absolutely love it. Great food and staff. Gave this location a shot. Won’t be going back Place was a mess and my tacos arrived still cold in the middle.

I finally got a chance to check out the new Baja Sonora! I’m a fan of the other locations, so I was super excited! The restaurant is clean and organized and completely empty around 11:30am. The place started to fill quickly around noon. I ordered a cheese enchilada and a shredded beef taco, both were delicious! The staff was on it, they delivered my drink to the table before I even came back from ordering. The food was quick to the table and piping hot. They even anticipated my yearning for a to-go cup for my drink as I was finishing my meal. I will return, probably for a take out order. The restaurant is on the small side, but they compensate for the lack of space by putting tables outside. I like what I ordered, but I can’t wait to try something new!

Ordered two burritos and the macho nachos. Everything was very big! Including a black thread/string in the nachos. Took it to the counter and worker asked if we wanted new nachos or money back. Told her money back please. She said the girl at register would take care of it. But then register girl said she did not have the password to credit us, only the manager, who was not there. Said she’d leave a note with our receipt for the manager when he came in the next day. My husband called the next afternoon and was told the manager hadn’t been in yet and they’d call us when he came in. That was last Saturday… Still waiting to hear about getting money back for the tainted nachos. We did eat the burritos, which were nothing special. Salsa was just average too. No desire to go back. Super Mex burritos are much better! A manager did email me after this review. Did end up taking about $ 8 off our total charge, although nachos are $ 9+, so should’ve been given more of a discount. But I give them credit for trying to fix things.

The Chili Verde Pork is delicious. Possibly better than the way my mom use to make it and that is a HUGE compliment! I’m not crazy about the atmosphere but the food is delicioso!

Owner came into my work today @ Ganahl Lumber and handed out some menus about their delivery service to my manager. So excited to see they had Flautas on the menu since it’s one of my favorite dishes. On lunch break now… The service was so delightful. The girl working was very friendly and greeted me and my coworker as soon as we came in. The chip and salsa(self serve) bar is great! Was served my Flautas with refried beans«yummy» looking. Super satisfied with the food and the service, this is gonna be my new spot.

Good traditional Mexican food Sean is great and always working hard! The Chicken soup is awesome, the Carne assada Salad is very tasty, tacos are good, they serve beer too, portions are big and my daughter loves the Big Cheese Quesadilla !

All you can eat chips with four varieties of salsa and pretty reasonable prices. You order, pay, and they bring the food to your table. I had the chile relleno and hard taco and hubby got the enchilada and hard taco. Average rice and beans — we both liked the taco. Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. If I had to choose between SuperMex and Baja Sonora, I’d go to SuperMex.

Glad they opened this location as the one on Clark is a little cramped and dirty sometimes. Good food, decent prices and all the fried tortillas and salsa bar your little mouth can swallow. They seem to do a lot of take out business, and they seem to be very fast on putting out their orders.

The Chili Verde here is amazing! I used to have to drive to Downy to get a decent plate of Chili Verde but now I can walk to this place and get one. They just started carrying Bohemia cerveza which is my favorite Mexican beer. And they don’t shove a lime in it, thank God! A lime is for a cheep Mexican beer because that’s the only way you can tolerate it. I hate it when wana-be Mexican restaurants take it upon themselves to stick a lime in a bottle of Bohemia. Bohemia is a premium Mexican beer and a lime is only an insult to it. So kudos to this place for not doing that. :-) I always pay with cash here to avoid the awkwardness of being prompted for a tip before the service. I’ll tip appropriately after being served, thank you. They really need to get rid of that ridiculous credit card feature.

My boyfriend showed me the delicious ways of the Baja Sonora — Clark location, and I’ve been a fan for years now. So, when the Los Al location opened just a few blocks from my office, I was pumped! The food at this location is just as good! I love that you can get a healthy bowl full of fresh vegetables and lean meat. And, their green salsa is my absolute favorite(and I’m a green salsa nut). If you are looking for fresh Mexican meal, full of flavor, and quality ingredients, come here! (Edit to include this) PS — to address others’ comments regarding the tipping option at the register — I hope everyone realizes that small businesses often use an app(like square) to run their credit or debit payments, and that tip screen is standard on the app. You are free to select $ 0 and bypass that feature. Don’t blame Baja Sonora for third party app design.

Best chicken hard shell tacos around. 1.50 everyday after 3. Good deal! Unlimited refills on orange whip. that’s rare!

I went in for the first time for take out on a Saturday night. Friendly service but the food was average at best. The restaurant was unkempt and the salsa bar was filthy. No thanks.

I have going to the Clark location for years. I came to the Los Al location because I live close by. And wanted to give this one a try. My first impression is that they don’t quite have it together here yet, hence only three stars. Salsa Bar seems about four feet too short. If you want a refill on your drink, you have to go to the cash register. The food was the same consistent quality and taste as the other locations. A little more decoration of the walls and a syncing of the team members and this place will be just fine. Recommend!

In one word — NO! I give it no stars. The food was absolutely awful. Everything had funny flavors. Nothing seemed fresh either. My guacamole was brownish-green. The red enchilada sauce is funky. And the salsas leave a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this place ever, to anyone! :(

I have been looking forward to trying this place since it opened, and last night the hub and I had a craving for Mexican food. It is not far, and our tails were whipped from a long weekend of glamping. Sadly this place missed the mark for me. Both my daughter and I had the same thing, 1 chicken enchilada, and one shredded beef crispy taco with rice and beans. The enchilada sauce was bland, and lacking seasoning and flavor, and the taco was so greasy it was running down my hand. My husband had two tacos, and felt the same way I did. We were no sooner in the car, and he commented, well that place is fired! Staff seemed disorganized, and there was nobody bussing tables, so lots of dirty tables around the restaurant. Above all else, here is what really steams me– they ask you to pay the gratuity at the counter when you order. WTF? I haven’t had any service yet! How do I know how I want to tip(I always tip)? I might have tipped more for outstanding service(it wasn’t).

Was waiting for my breakfast burritos from Nick’s next door and wandered in here to check it out. New spot. Just a casual order at the counter type of Mex place. They have a chips n salsa bar you can help yourself to but when I saw there were actual fried tortilla shells instead of chips, I passed. Just wasn’t in the mood. Ordered a shrimp taco and Sonora chicken salad to go. Hubs loved the salad so I’ll take his word for it that it was good. The shrimp taco was good. Nothing extraordinary that I’d go out of my way for, decent.
