One of the best places ever! Unfortunately it burned down, I only hope it comes back!

As of right now, this restaurant is burning to the ground. Obviously, this place will be closed for awhile, if they reopen at all. Hope everyone is ok, and no one was injured!

I had the chile relleno and it was delicious! Also, I the tortillas tasted homemade. They were really nice. And you know it’s a good sign that it’s going to be authentic when the cashier’s English isn’t too good.

Been going here for years. Close to home. close to work and the REAL deal. They have excellent tamales at Christmas. Excellent breakfast burritos and excellent chicken tacos. My kind of dive.

The only thing I’ve had from here is their veggie burrito. I love it. It’s like a 7 layer burrito with beans, rice, lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and whatever else but it’s pretty big and just under $ 5 comes with chips and salsa and is a filling lunch. I’ve only seen women working and they are very nice. It’s hidden in the next shopping center next to mcdonalds

I stop going to place after I found out Baja Fresh gives 20% off to military! this place does not even give you a discount what so ever even if you’re in uniform.

Pros: Homey, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. Convenient location to hospital and medical offices. Cons: Mediocre food. I come here mainly because it is close to the blood test lab. Every once in a while my doctor orders routine fasting blood tests. By the time I’m out of the lab, I’m hungry! I don’t like McDonald’s, there’s not much else open that’s early and that’s close and not sit-down, and I want to eat now! El Burrito is small and feels homey. If I lived in the neighborhood it might be a good hangout place. Unfortunately El Burrito’s proximity to the blood lab is about all that keeps me there because the food is only so-so. Tastes a bit bland, despite the fresh salsa bar. Maybe I am choosing the wrong items. Maybe the breakfast burritos taste a lot better, there seem to be a lot of positive reviews with mention of those. For now I go there after my test. If some competition opened up nearby, though, I’d probably try them out first.

Surprisingly amazed on how many good reviews for this hole in the wall?! I have been their and ordered the carnitas burrito and wow it was tasteless, greasy and just plain terrible. It’s not as bad as Adalbertos down the street from them but that’s not saying much. I guess people don’t understand Real Mexican food. Not going back here either.

I’m honestly surprised by the high rating. Perhaps I went on a bad day, but the food and service were equally dry.

Bought tamales from them at Christmas time.(Be sure to order AHEAD of time!) They were a hit with the family. Had the loco breakfast burrito today… sooo good. Pork, potatoes, cheese, cilantro, onion, beans, egg… I’m drooling all over again just thinking about it. I like to sit and eat my food at the place and watch the poor suckers going through the drive-through next door at «Mc Ds» and thinking how much better MY lunch is tasting than what they are getting.

I’ve only ever ordered a breakfast burrito here, but it was so good I keep going back. Anytime I have a breakfast burrito craving, these really hit the spot. It’s a great balance of eggs and meat and cheese and potatoes. Basically, happiness in a flour tortilla. Just add salsa!

My family loves this place! We live close so walk there often. The food is great, price is good and staff are very friendly! I like to say that this place is like walking into your Aunt/Tia’s kitchen. You know it’s gonna be a home cooked meal, she’s singing in her kitchen, and you can just feel the love for cooking and people there. A must have! I did have some chicken tacos I wasn’t a fan of though, and the last time we were there the guac was not good at all. I was shocked to not love my experience though because every other time I’ve been it has been great. Still love it.

Generally when an establishment claims to be the best at something, often times, it ends up being the exact opposite. El Burrito Loco has a banner hanging outside of their business claiming to have the best burrito in town. I was always a bit skeptical to their claim so I never really bothered to try their food until I was about to move out of Los Alamitos… And boy do I regret it! I honestly do believe that they have the best burrito in town! Granted that Los Alamitos is a pretty small city, but hey, a good burrito is a good burrito. I’ve only tried their sausage breakfast burrito(yes, I actually got sausage instead of bacon!) and it was deeee-licious! Everything was so fresh and yummy! I haven’t really found a place that is comparable to here. Even my Mexican friend that is anti-Mexican restaurants, love the burrito here. Yes, that’s how good it is! Oh, why did I have to be so stubborn! I miss living just a few blocks away from this place.

It was workout day for me so I get pretty hungry on these days. Had so many errands to run and forgot that it is LUNCHTIME! No wonder I was starving, plus my morning workout built me up a good appetite. What’s on my mind? A bean burrito. Off to El Burrito I go. Ordered a bean burrito. Beans, onions, cilantro, and salsa all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. And comes with chips. Got my green salsa and marinated carrots/onions/jalapeño…and I am good to go. It was yummmy! They cook up really good beans here so my burrito was delicious. OK, don’t tell Hubbie about my visit to El Burrito. He would be so jeal!

You would barely even notice it in the corner of a strip mall. Next to a dry cleaner which I love. I just had a breakfast burrito here and it was quite good. A bit overpriced for a b-fast burrito, but it had the right ingredients. Perfect with green salsa that is provided.

For a hole in the wall I think this place is pretty good. Best part is the little salsa bar and the red hot sauce. Loved the carne asada burrito.

There is no better way to start your day, but with one of their breakfast burritos! Fair serving size filled with egg, patas(potato), beans, cheese and meats. Comes with home made salsa with chips.

This is my first choice in the area for Angeleno-authentic Mexican fare — that in-between spot unique to L.A. that’s neither a true hole-in-the-wall, locals-only find(i.e., Tacos Don Chente, El Taco Loco No. 3) nor an Americanized take on the food(i.e., Baja Sonora, Taco Surf, etc.). Good hand-held food from tacos to burritos, the meats are tasty, and the nachos are terrific.
