Great food, been coming here for quite a while, waitresses are always friendly with great service, cooks were great until I saw the younger one on Sunday, take off his cap and wipe his hand over his hair about 4 times then put his cap back on and continue cooking

What can I say, I like a good burger and this place has the best ! The sauce is so good on it,. the patty is juicy and plumb, messy to eat, but worth it. We also go there a lot for breakfast, everything we have tried is good. We have been going here since it opened, always a nice family friendly feeling. Oh, yeah, try the milkshakes and malts, so goood!

I have grown up in Los Al and work in the area and I’m so happy to have this in the city! Their burgers are great (Frisco burger is my favorite) and their breakfast menu is awesome. Carne Asada breakfast plate is massive and delicious. Family run with a great staff and huge menu. If u go there for anything try their burgers and onion rings. Old time traditional diner w a great twist on diner food, check this place out!

HOW does this place get a 4-​star aggregate score? Buddy took me out for a burger the other evening… On «special», it was $ 8.00…with cruddy frozen bagged crinkle-​cut fries, a mix of really OLD nasty ones with a few fresh. The burger and esp. the fries, were SO below average.
And the «service»? This place is ALWAYS sloooow, but the trons just LOVE to NOT CLEAR plates. We were done eating, and still had to sit with dirty dishes in front of us while the tron dropped the check. And there were just 3 tables in the entire place!
In the future– I will NOT let my friends take me here. Even with someone ELSE picking up the check, fuhgeddabouddit!
Again– LOOK AT THE FLOOR IN THIS PLACE! IT IS FILTHY! Think the kitchen is clean and sanitary? DOUBTFUL!

Just stopped in real quick while I was getting my old changed around the corner… I’m from out of town, and was just needing a quick dinner… That was the best $ 8 dollar cheeseburger I’ve ever had! The server promised me it would be, and she wasn’t kiddin, highly recommended: D

Bad service. .had to get up and ask for more coffee and water. Having breakfast. .something taste funny with the pancakes. .sent bacon back and didnt get it back for 15 minutes… and its not busy here. This is my second and last visit.

Loved this little homey café. They offer a pretty bomb and comprehensive selection of food, everything from steaks to pancakes to burritos and quesadillas. The service was warm and real and hospitable, and had none of that establishment feel, just a very human touch. If you aren’t a food critic, are hungry, and want a NICE place to do anything (including and particularly the NOT NICE stuff, like studying) then I heartily recommend this little gem. :)

Café Del Sol is the cure for the common chain restaurant. This is a family run, hometown, made-​with– love café.
Coming into the café you will be greeted with a smile by the son or daughter of the owner. It’s not uncommon to see their Dad clearing dishes or asking guests if they are enjoying their meals. This place is a Diners, Drive ins and Dives episode waiting to happen. They make everything from scratch, I’m not even joking, they even make their own ranch for goodness sake.
So let’s get down to it, what do I order? I order anything because it’s all good. I’ve enjoyed the pancakes, BLT, Fries, Carne Asada, don’t even get me started on their salsa. Next on my list will be the burger.
Now, I know we all write reviews, but occasionally there is that place that we don’t want to write a review for because we want to keep the place a secret… but we write the review because it would be a shame not to, this is one of those places.

Oh my goodness. This place was such a wonderful surprise — my mom and I were driving up to Santa Barbara from San Diego, and we needed to take a snack break. So we stumbled upon this slice of burger heaven definitely by accident. AND THANK GOODNESS.
Anyway, bottom line, this place has AMAZING burgers and such lovely service– highly suggest the Frisco burger with added avocados. The place itself doesn’t look like much, but inside is so inviting, and their burgers are insanely satisfying. Cheers!

My roommate brought me here for the first time and I’m SO happy she did! Delicious burger and the onion rings are perfect. Plus, they have a Mexican Plate menu AND breakfast all day! Our server was very friendly and the chef even made rounds to the tables to make sure everything was perfect! Can’t wait to come back! Yea for Café Del Sol!

Whaaatt? This place is a mile from my house! Why have I not been here before?
It’s been here 17 years. Another cook from Russell’s Burgers. The Frisco Burger and cappuccino was fantastic. The single scoop chocolate sundae was perfect! Best onion rings I’ve had in a very long time!

Of all the years I’ve been in the area it wasn’t until recently that I went in to Café Del Sol to eat. I’m surprised I never went sooner, because it certainly is a hidden diamond!
Its difficult finding anything else to order other than their incredible breakfasts. I am quite fond of their Carne Asada & eggs plate… always served up hot, flavorful, and plentiful.
Their burgers are well known to locals as being infamous Russell’s burgers. Its no wonder since the owner is the mastermind behind their tried and true recipe. If you order the burgers, prepare yourself for a gargantuan burger made with fresh ingredients. The best part of any burger should be the damn burger, and here you won’t be let down.
Customer service is ALWAYS top notch. The servers are always friendly and accommodating, regardless if the dining room is packed or if I’m the only customer in.
Its just a great eatery that serves up quality food with great service. Customer for life!

First time I came here during lunch hour and the place was 97% filled with an older population.
They have one server and one cook working the restaurant. The food was average, but they were out of several menu items when we tried to order. They were even out of guacamole, and instead served a brown/​greenish sauce in it’s place. If you’re out of guacamole, just be out of guacamole. Don’t serve a poor imitation version.
We ordered some generic Mexican food items: tacos, and fajitas. Food was decent, but I felt the prices were a bit on the high side for the quality of the food. $ 10 for a plate of 2 tacos that were «meh» ~ not sure I’ll be back!
