We visited twice for dinner, the first time when one of the owners was present, the service was excellent and so was the food, we thought it was great. BUT! A few days later, on a Tuesday, we returned, the owner was not there, and the service was poor, it was not friendly but more of a tolerating the customer attitude. Bread was not offered until we demanded it, and then eventually it was delivered but it was cold inside, partially frozen perhaps. After a long wait for the server to return to ask how things were, she never showed up so we took the bread with the cold cores to the counter and requested it be reheated more thoroughly. Later they offered no refill of the bread. At McDonalds they have a more friendly attitude. We ordered appetizers and the brochette was delivered partially, as one four pieces as the tiny butt of the baguette, 1⁄3 the size of what it should have been. We decided to skip desert as we were disappointed, in retrospect, for the poor service, I now regret leaving a tip. Recommendation, go when one of the owners is present.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon to grab some lunch. It was super quiet and we pretty much had the entire place to ourselves minus another family. We ordered the soup of the day — Broccoli Soup, Wedge Salad and Pasta carbonara. The broccoli soup was super tasty! Although it was a bit thin — normally I’m used to it being more chunky. I would recommend all 3! My bf loved the pasta although I thought it was a little salty for my taste. The server was super great to us as well. He was attentive and really charismatic — totally made it seem like an Italian experience.

This is an Italian restaurant open for 3 years. I had salmon and my friend had chicken. The sauces for both were excellent. I asked for a spoon to scrape up every morsel. The sides were potatoes and green beans. Servings are not large. The owner is super friendly. We wil definitely go back.

Love this place! New owners, so we were worried… but the food has improved and the service is warm and wonderful! We went last night and had 2 fantastic pasta dishes. The homemade cibatta bread is amazing. Really cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Off the beaten path which is nice too. Highly recommend.

Amazing place and service is outstanding by Reuben. Great for lunch bite in the weekdays and weekends(as they are now open.). Perfect place for a business lunch. Cobb Salad, Los Altos Burger paired with Bottle of wine is great. Great selection of desert.

I have never written a review more than once for the same restaurant. This is the exception. We just had the most incredible dinner at Bella Vita. The food just gets better every time we come here. If you live within a 20 mile radius(or 100 mile radius) of this place, you need to try it. It is truly amazing. Make sure you take Ruben’s recommendations — they never fail. If you are lucky, he might share some of his amazing lemon cello with you.

A true Italian restaurant, a rarity in this area. Come here for real Italian pizza(thin crust) or home made pasta. Prompt, very nice and funny waiter, good food, prices are fine. We sat outside in the sun on a Sunday, awesome.

The food is super fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. This has become the«go to» place for lunch when my friends and I want to get together to enjoy good food, and a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. I am anxious to take my family there for dinner. They have a new manager(about five months?), who has made this place better than it was. The quality of their dishes has improved — a lot of the same menu items, but prepared better, and an expanded dinner menu that we have not yet tried. The lunch salads are more substantial/satisfying, and they now serve made-in-house bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping, in the true Italian style. Pastas are now made in-house. The pizzas and calzones are wonderful — again, true Italian style. The veggie melt and eggplant calzones are my favorite. Healthy vegetarian ingredients with a perfect amount of olive oil that permeates the crust such that I can feel«good» about eating every bit, and a light, house-made marinara on the side. The manager is delightful — makes you truly feel welcome, and like you are in a bit of Italy, vs the heart of Silicon Valley. A welcome respite. I am anxious to try their dinners. We need more places like this!

$ 11 for two cappuccinos? Because it had a extra(ok if you say so) shot. Thanks I’ll go someplace that wants business.

The customer service is appalling. I sent an email to inform the business about my experience and they couldn’t even be bothered to respond. If I could give them less than a one star rating, then I would.

Just had a very pleasant, very relaxing lunch here. We sat outside. I got the Insalata de Mare — great fresh seafood. My husband got spaghetti and meatballs and really enjoyed it. Warm crusty bread was delicious. Really friendly service.

This is a very small, family-run Italian restaurant that I highly recommend to locals. Good dough, good sauce, fresh ingredients, and amazingly warm, friendly staff. And for better or worse, it’s rarely busy. Try the pesto calzone; one of my faves.

I went with my coworker today for lunch. I ordered the Lasagna(freshly made) and it was the best lasagna I ever had. My coworker ordered a seafood pasta(I forgot the name). We both loved our main course and our appetizer the calamari was exquisite! I’m very happy they’re open on sundays now!

This place is a gem! The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. I’ve never tried a dish I haven’t liked. It’s very affordable as well. My favorites are the gnocchi and calamari. The people who work there are also super sweet.

Had dinner here, the food was VERY authentic. I enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer and the prosciutto appetizer. Both were amazing, especially the salmon, which was cut thin and drizzled with dill and a little oil. For dinner I had a pasta dish, penne pasta with homemade Italian sausage and mushrooms in a really really good tomato sauce, the entrée had a fancier Italian name, but it escapes me. Added some Parmesan and crushed red pepper, made it even better. We didn’t have any drinks but they had a nice wine selection which I’ll sample another time. Service wise they were excellent. Our server Ruben, had a cool accent and was easily able to answer the few questions we had. The place was fairly busy but we saw him a lot, which is always nice. We definitely will return to try some new dishes and of course, some wine :)

Great find. I came here looking for lunch and to kill time but the seafood salad was well worth making the trip for it’s own right. The restaurant is surprisingly large as you can’t see some tables from the street but the layout means you’re always in a comfortable area. I came too late for a lunch rush but the service was very friendly and fast. I’ll certainly be back.

Had an appointment down the street. Was looking for somewhere to kill some time. Drink a coffee do some studying. This was the only place selling coffee nearby so I dropped by. Was worried I wouldn’t be able to just get a coffee and sit outside as they have servers and food. Restaurant style not like a coffee shop. Got a cappuccino and sat on the outside table. Felt like I was in france just enjoying a coffee doing some studying. Server told me there was no rush and that I was welcomed to stay out here as long as I wanted. Didn’t have any food but I like the location and the service. Coffee was good.

This is a local restaurant that we usually go if we are too lazy to drive and wanted a nice walk/jog. We have tried a few dishes including pizza, salad, calzone and pasta and overall, food is good. Dishes taste fresh and not too heavy for lunch time. I like the ‘express lunch’ menu that is offered with a good selection of entrees ranging from soup/salad to sandwiches and pasta/calzone. The staff is friendly and I especially love the outdoor seating in the back.
